It would be a lie that Law didn’t find Yca captivating since ironically enough he fell into her spell. This con woman loves to provoke others at will and he absolutely acknowledged it. The way she deepened her voice to copy his natural vocal tone was amusing yet overwhelms him with these sentimental feelings he had rarely felt. The way she initiates him with her playful antics was entertaining while he also had his limits when her shenanigans became a disaster. Her overall nature gave him a curiosity about her thoughts about him. She was hard to read as her teasing often misread as flirting when she simply was messing with others. What was he thinking? He didn’t hate the fact he was tender enough to be soft for this girl. So the way he copes is by suppressing his own feelings and placing a facade with his stern nature whenever he is with Yca.
Her sunkissed gray-skinned cold body; her indigo tresses strokes with blonde highlights; her currant lipstick she would puckered, her nice physique; and her enchanting voice she would mellow. At first it was a simple crush and nothing more, he thought it would be temporary. But to his circumstances it only worsened as his attachment to his own crewmate had been accommodated. ‘How humiliating…’ He thought. Of course, he wished to compose himself from his heart telling him what to do. But it was tempting and difficult for him to fight against it by his rationality. He muttered as he walked around the Polar Tang, scrunching his forehead out of frustration. ‘This is stupid, why am I like this?’ He groaned as he kept pondering.
The man kept in his pace as he strode around in circles. He couldn’t believe it had been a year after Shono went back to her crew. And then out of the blue, his beginning over this odd feeling he has been experiencing. It was bizarre. So strange that he wanted to hate Yca as much as possible, but the loathe was the opposite of it. He tried his best to put his facade at her shenanigans, annoyed and irritated at her rambunctious and mercurial nature - but he adored it. He found it endearing as he shook his head. Why is he drooling over this uncouth woman? She’s probably just friendly, nothing more. The moment he watched her burst her bubble around his subordinates, he would curl a ghostly smile before he glanced away from her sight. Flashing forward months after, it was around afternoon - 10:00 am - he was with his navigator Bepo. The vanta-haired man groped the documents as he was discussing with Bepo. “Well, Straw-Ya and I will meet up in Wano before we can find ways to defeat Kaito and Big Mom. I might considering bringing you, Penguin, and Snachi.” Law said as his eyes laid on the files. The polar bear nodded as he furrowed his eyebrows out of inquiry. “What about Yca-San? She might be fun to join.” The raven-haired man was about to open his mouth until he heard the name ‘Yca’ from his companion. “I-I’m not sure… She might cause some trouble as usual and you know how— Distracting she can be…” A stutter from his voice came along before he could even clear his throat and continue speaking, “I’m not sure bringing her would be a good idea.” Bepo frowned as he whimpered with a polar bear raspy sound. “I know she can be eccentric but she’ll make our task interesting, don’t you think?” Law paused as he pondered about Yca. Well, certainly Bepo wasn’t wrong. Yca has her adaptable sleeves rolling up that could bring entertainment among the group. As much as he hated to admit that her schemes are appealing to him, he reluctantly reconsidered before sighing. “I guess so. Well, I’ll remind her if she’s available to come.” The polar bear’s straight lips transformed into a smile as he wagged his tail in glee. “Oh great! Well, I’ll be back to navigate the next island Captain.”
Once Bepo trotted away to pass the corner of the cabin, Law once deeply sighed again. He could feel the boiling heat running through his cheeks because of that girl. He muttered as he gritted his teeth out of overstimulation. ‘Must focus. She’s just a distraction.’ He said to himself before he placed his hands into his pocket and walked past his other subordinates to head towards the other cabin where he could find his office. He then opened the door, creaking it open that the room was organized and bland. The books were neatly placed on the shelves, the files were categorized in oriented sections he could research, and his desk had very little decoration. He silently sat down before he grabbed his reading glasses to further his research.
It was serene for a while as his pen stroked from each page until he heard a loud thud close to his room. Instantly he knew what he had heard as he was nonchalant at this moment. A light raspy giggle came along before he could listen to the clanking sounds of feminine heels walking close to his office. The door was bursted open without a knock, and of course it was no other than Yca. The gray-skinned woman with her exhibiting brown-black and pink bikini top while halfway down, her gray uniform was worn except she tied her top into a knot to show off her skin. “Hey, guess what?” The woman said as a devious smile spread across her dimples. The man retorted as his eyes laid onto the papers, attempting to desensitize at her sudden appearance. “What is it, Yca-ya?” He asked with a tinge of aloof pinching onto his voice while also avoiding his eyes laying at her ivory irises. Yca pouted slightly as she realized Law wasn’t looking at her. She then casually sat down on the table and grabbed the files and pushed it away from his hand. “You haven’t paid attention to me! I was about to say hello to you!” Law was taken back at her exclamation when he’s trying not to stare at her. While his gray eyes eventually laid back at her pearl eyes, he grumbled. “I was focused on our future mission. I have heard you clear enough. So, what do you want?” Yca then drastically changed her sulking expression back into her whimsical and angelic smile. “Oh I just want to talk to my captain, nothing wrong!~” Law was somewhat pleased while concealing his sentimental heart by remaining annoyed. He sighed as he responded, “You just want to talk to me? That’s all? What about making pranks to bother Penguin and Snachi, or causing a mayhem against the marines?” She shook her head as her innocent smile remained. He wasn’t against Yca's intentions of spending quality time with him, just he didn’t expect her to be in a mood to chat with him. He was aware that it wasn’t the first time he encountered it, he knew how gregarious Yca can be. His eyes remained his attention at hers before he anticipated her answer. “I already did those things already, I just want you!”
From her words coming through her mouth, his cheeks went warmer from her intentions to be with him. He tipped down his polka-dot hat and made a ‘tch’ sound, making an illusion that he’s tired of her shenanigans. “I see then.” His lips parted as he cleared his throat to compose his voice in order to not embarrass himself in front of her. “So Law, what are you up to?” She leaned close, cocking her head as if she’s a curious dog. His eyes glanced up and down at her presence before he could further respond to her question. “Filing up for our future mission; we will be going to Wano after Straw-ya and his crew finished their mission in Whole Cake Island.” Yca hummed as she fondled her fingers against the table, she then leaned in a close proximity towards Law’s face. Her smile went straighten and her expression was formed into a poker face. “Okay!” She chirped before she reverted a small grin stroked onto her cheeks. Law grumbled a bit as the quandary of his mind was questioning her overall nature. Was she just naturally nice and annoying, or perhaps seducing him with her unintentional facial expressions? The more he mused, the more his cheeks went beet-red. He quickly looked away from Yca as he attempted to frown. He wanted to curl himself into a ball to even expose his muster feeling from her casting spell she’s possessing. Not that she’s using a love spell on him, more likely it was a natural occurrence that he wished it went away. It was like a disease for him to be this mushy and behaving like a school-boy. He’s a grown man, so what’s hard to resist? The tranquility between both parties went awkward. Law turned his head to look away at the woman; he was a tad bit bashful as he adjusted his shirt and his hat to seem as competent. Yca on the other hand, was hard to read since she was still grinning at him. Her mesmerizing eyes met with his, letting the silence swirl among the two. Bizarrely he couldn’t differentiate if she’s being nice or flirty. It pissed him off that he had no clue what to say next. Luckily the outgoing Necro-Necro user eventually killed the silence as she said, “I was thinking… Since our mission will come very soon or later, how about we hang out together. Just you and me, huh?” Law was about to interrupt before he brushed his lips together. He raised his eyebrows as he couldn’t believe that she casually asked him out. He assumed that maybe she’s hinting at her motives, but at the same time he had a doubt. So far as he knows, he learned that Yca toys with people's emotions whenever someone is a friend, a stranger, or an enemy. He knew she isn’t a bad person, he had observed her predominant nature that had always lurked her to be the woman she is. He was postponed to remark as he quivered a bit, “Oh— I— Umm— Not a bad idea I must say. It’s been a while since I spent quality time with someone. So I accept that proposal, Yca-ya.” Her smile widened as she gleefully jumped off from the table. She bounced herself up and down as she was content and behaving like a woman-child. “Cool! Umm— Do you want to start now or—“
“I think Now would be— Nice.. Yeah nice.”
“Cool, cool. Come on Law! Let’s go!”
Months after that, Law felt a tinge of disheartenment that time had passed. How could he respond in such a way that it seemed like he had rejected her? He wasn’t used to this mushy and colorful feeling before. He hasn't been this jubilation aside from his crew, Corazon, and his only friends he had. He could reminisce about that month when she asked him out. And he wondered, why couldn’t he be honest to her? He wanted to punch himself that things between him and her are awkward. He was so remorseful that he questioned what Yca was feeling after he accidentally said what he had regretted. What’s worse is that despite how awkward they are, the two oddly remained in-touch as if that confession she unfolded didn’t exist. What kind of person is he? Hence he took a quick glance at Yca who’s few meters away from him. She was breathtaking with her voice that he loved to listen to, her scarlet smile that he wanted to pucker her lips on his — and her personality — oh, her personality! One of the aspects he adored about her. While he was anxious to even try to talk to her, he shifted his gaze at Bepo as he could listen to the laughter from that particular woman. As much as he wished to change what he had said to maybe share and cherish her rather than just co-workers and friends — he wasn’t the best at being open to his tenderness — due to how he wasn’t used to being spoiled and showered from Yca’s radiating aura. Outside of his cold exterior, he loved the attention she nurtured and her outgoing energy she had. It was relieving for him to work with someone who isn’t always brusque. As his eyes laid onto the gray-skinned woman, Bepo snapped his reality. “Captain, are you okay?” From his words Law gently pressed his lips together as his eyes shifted back to the pure white bear. Before he sighed deeply, he placed his hands into his pockets of his polka patterned pants. “I’m…. Fine.” It was obvious for Bepo to notice his beckoning in regards to how Law is reserved with his sentiments. Bepo shook his fluffed snow-coated head in a gentle motion before he would remark further. “I don’t think you’re fine Captain… I have a feeling it’s something between you and Yca, right?” From the tinge of his words flooding into his mind, Law had postponed. He brushed his upper lip to the bottom of it before he pulled up to speak. “Of course not!— Wait, how do you know?” Bepo’s dark eyes darted at Law and then at Yca before he reverted back to his gaze. “Well… The look on your face says so.” Bepo wasn’t exactly wrong. It was clear and obvious enough for him to remark on this observation. Law was stunned for his companion to mention it. The white-hatted man stood in silence before he remarked with a stern pitch of his voice. “I see…” He paused before his silver eyes darted at the talking bear. “And it’s our business Bepo. I appreciate your concern… But I would rather not talk about this, please.” His friend rather not banter back at him as he nodded in affirmation. He hummed as he said, “Alright… I’m sorry Captain for being a bit pushy. But if you need some advice, I’m always available.” Law then gave a transparent grin from Bepo’s words. “It’s alright. I know you’re trying to help.” He tipped down his hat as he quietly laid his back against the wall. As Bepo returned a smile, he walked past his captain and drifted away to head towards another headquarters of the Polar Tang. Law’s weak smile then transferred back into an impassive line that stroked his cheeks. He sighed deeply before he continued to wander into his thoughts. His eyebrows furrowed as his lips went downward into a sullen line. He wondered what’s the matter with him? Why is this woman making him this way? She could have been playing around and act as if this means nothing to her. But her intoxicating tease, it made him feel beyond his understanding. It excited him but his pathetic temptation dragged him away to explore this sensual curiosity. ‘This is dumb. I shouldn’t act like this..’ ‘She’ll probably move on anyways.’ ‘I don’t understand why she would be interested in me. She’s probably just joking.’ He hates this feeling, it irks him, but at the same time he desires just only her. This paradoxical witch with her amiable wits and her audacious beaming ideas captivated him. He admitted the fact he no longer sees Yca as just an annoying, distracting ratchet — but rather a stunning woman who brightens up his mood and the warmness that oozes his heart. She’s an absolute doll while also a fierce independent woman. It made him smitten — so smitten that he wanted to brush her coiled locks, lift up her chin with his thumb, stare at her gorgeous eyes, and brush her ruby lips. His crave for Yca was more than just an attraction. He wanted more than just brief touches and listening to her deep conversation, no. He wanted to break his sealed door to release his frontage persona. He wanted to maybe… Perhaps connecting with her could be lovely for the both of them. But what’s the point? He messed up. He screwed up his one and only chance. Yet again, he had to confront her about it sooner or later before it’ll be too late. What if he never told her? What would happen? Would it change their relationship? The thoughts about it paranoid him, all of the possibilities that would ruin their friendship, maybe her leaving the crew if he messed up again. He gulped a bit before his lips mustered. He scrunched his forehead as he sighed once again. It’s bothering him every day. It was so distracting that he tried to repress it. He assumed it would just fade away over time, but it didn’t. It made things worse as it constantly haunts him. Why is it so hard to resist her? She’s friendly for sure, but it peaked his hesitation. Should he go up to her and just ask about this previous encounter? Would it make things uncomfortable? He hummed with a sad tone. ‘Probably’ he thought.
Days later it distracted his plans for the mission as he couldn’t bear to hurt Yca again. It made him soften to even think about the melancholic eyes lingering in her marble irises. He couldn’t take anymore with the fragility of the woman he had the urge to protect and aid her. Yet again, she was his close friend! The one he genuinely enjoys spending time with. Whenever it’s just her and him being dragged into their ventures, it would entertain both of them to face challenges together — even with the Heart Pirates making it diverting. It was a tug of war between his head and his heart. One of them screamed at him to talk to her, the other told him to stay put and wait. It gave him headaches to even banter at himself. It took him a while to leave his office room. It was boring, way beyond just him having a swell time on his solidarity. He thought it was utterly ridiculous to feel empty because the presence of that zombie girl — the literal walking carcass who had a cracked pearl centered on her sternum — wasn’t by his side. She was on her task to take care of Penguin when they had to flee an escape from an admiral for the love of God! Law groaned as he grew frustrated. A fatigue pain that was knotting onto the bridge of his face caused him to abrasively place his head onto the table. His voice lowered as he was fighting against himself — a brawl between his vulnerability and his pragmatism. He moved his head to compress his forehead with his tattooed fingers that stained “DEATH” backwards. The aching feeling that’s bugging him tires the man as he couldn't resist his urges. Without Yca, it felt ordinary, bland, and despondent — all alone in this office he was in. He hated this. He loathed it. He wasn’t fond of being this brittle to even be upset of his stupid choice to be a nerve-wreck around her. But then out of the blue, a gentle knock was heard. Law’s ears perked as he lifted his head to frantically adjust his posture. “Who is it?” He said sternly. “Hey Trafalgar, can I come?” A feminine voice was heard. The vanta-haired man then gulped as he realized who it was. “Of course, you can come.” With a cold undertone of his voice, he got up from his seat, then grabbed the golden door knob to twist it. As the door was opened, revealing Yca with her fiddle laced black dress, he quickly looked away in embarrassment as he grew ashamed of these infuriating thoughts.
“Law, you haven’t been talking to me lately. I know you’re probably busy with your mission and such; I just want to know if you’re doing okay—“
“Yca-ya, I’m fine. Thanks for the concern, but really I’m okay—“
“No. Trafalgar, your action proves otherwise. You’re not even looking at me. Tell me, what’s wrong?”
Law pressed his lips together, his silver eyes glancing at the wall as he firmly remained shut.
“Law, you shouldn’t hide from me. I can watch you all day being sullen. It’s really irking me that you aren’t answering.” Yca’s face remained in austerity, frowning before she opened her voice, “Please, I just want to know. Is it about what I told you after Zou? If it is then, I really am sorry for overstepping your boundaries. I shouldn’t have been more pushy and forward to yo—“
“Yca-ya!” Law raised his voice before his eyes fully went back to glance at the indigo-haired woman. “It’s not that. It’s….” His voice went quivered before his eyes went heavy with watery drops formed into the corner of it. “It’s me.” His breath went heavy as Yca’s frustrated expression transformed into a soften, yet stunned look that she slightly exposed her mouth. She then strode forward, reaching her hand to place onto his shoulder.
“Oh, I-I didn’t know… I—“
“Yca-ya, I should be the one who should be sorry. I just…” He sighed before he took his time to process his words. “I just— I couldn’t believe you like me regardless of how much I pushed you away, even when I thought you’re only toying with me with your words. But apparently you aren’t messing with me. You really do love me… And I don’t deserve it. I’m a coward. I’m not good enough. I haven’t even had the audacity to confront this.. This is stupid, I know, you probably are over me, right?” Her eyes went wide open as she used her other hand to cup his cheek with her palm.
“Law… Don’t talk shit about yourself. It pisses me off to hear that.” Her voice rose with an audible anger before she took a deep breath. Her eyes remained onto his before she gently said, “You are not a coward. And I thought you don’t like me this way? That’s why I thought I had to move on, but I couldn’t no matter how much I tried. I still love you and now knowing that you feel the same… I don’t know what to say… I really did believe that I made you uncomfortable.. I… Well, aside from that, you mean so much to me. So if you talk shit to yourself ever again, I will make sure to say that you’re Trafalgar D. Water Law. You are you; not some pirate who’s involved in the Worst Generation in the globe, nor just a badass Captain who’s brave enough to help others in need. You aren’t a monster nor even a cold, ruthless man known in mankind. You are more than that. I love you because you’ve done so much to me. We may have a lot of disagreements, different ideals, and whatnot, but Law — I am dead serious about what I mean that I love you so much. You’re the reason why I loved taking care of myself, showing off my skin, my fashion choices, always putting my hair down, helping you whenever I can, and plenty of more aspects you had affected me into. You’re the reason why I feel empowered and so colorful that I didn’t even know it even existed. You’re the reason why I bring joy among the crew. You’re the reason why I even love being part of your crew. I love and cherish it forever. I’m sorry if it sounds cheesy, I’m not great with this private and romantic shit but believe me, I’m not lying when I say I absolutely admire you and love every part of you, even your flaws too. Please, it’s okay, I’m here langga.. My Traffy, I really, really love you…”
She then patted his back before she embraced a tight hug. Law’s eyes dilated and widened as a shred of tears spread down onto his cheeks. He whimpered as he held the witch with a strong firm. Yca cooed at him as she gently used her other hand to rub his raven locks that are outside of his hat. “Yca-ya… I…”
“Shhh… Traffy, you don’t have to say it… I know you love me too…” She whispered as she brushed her lips against forehead. “And I can tell, so it’s alright… Just let it all out, okay?” Each rub comforted Law as he released all of his pressures and doubts away. It was relieving, heavenly, and even bewitching from her nestle and her soothing voice ringing into his pierced ears. Law was comfortable with the close proximity of this beautiful woman as he couldn’t help, but admire this tender side of hers. It was a surprise to see her breaking her semblance as the mischief and the comedic-relief in the Heart Pirates. He sighed heavily with his shaking voices that had been cracked. Yca ruffled the back of his hair as she whispered with her hypnotizing, siren-like voice. “Everything’s okay, my Traffy… Shhh… Shh…” Law lowered his head to land against her exposed breasts as he snuggled her close. He sniffed after his verge of tears had been dried up. He quietly wrapped his arms around his waist with a serene atmosphere dancing among the two. His black goatee tickled her bosom which Yca quietly chortled with a calming undertone of her loving voice.
As the quietude of the office amplified, Yca continued to ran her fingers through his hair as her other hand gently lifted his hat to expose his messy strands of it. She kept brushing it as her lips pressed onto his forehead. “Hmm… Yca-ya…” Yca looked down at Law as a faint smile was dressed onto her ruby lips. “Yes, Traffy?” “Thank you… I really need this right now… Mmm..” She chuckled as she continued pecking her lips onto the bridge area of his head. “No problem… my Taffy.” Law swirled his lips onto a tired grin as he squished his head against her cleavage. He could feel the emitting pearl glowing with a purple light. The nice feeling of her warmth whipped the surgeon as his gentle titter was heard.
Onward to the present, Law’s large fingers intertwined with her small fingers as he traces his lips against hers. He smiled widely as if he was a different man. He couldn’t help but admire the view of his witch to be this sentimental. “Look at you, aren’t you such an annoying menace?” He snorted before Yca rolled her eyes with a smirk before she gently pushed her lips on his. “Shut up, Cow-hat.” She whispered before she remained her cherry lips parted. His other hand gripped onto his thigh before he pushed her down onto his bed, letting his fingers trail up onto her indigo locks and the leopard-patterned strands before he continued pressing his lips to savor her taste. After the kiss, he pulled away and laid beside her, holding her close to his tall physique. “I love you, and that’s for bothering me in the morning, brat~” He said while pushing the strands of her hair back to her ear. Yca sighed as she hummed. “Yeah, yeah I hate you too, grumpy bear~”
“Oh yeah? Giving me an attitude again? Awh, you know I love how needy you are?”
“Maybe I am or I’m doing this because I love annoying you all day?”
“Tsk, tsk bad girl.”
“You’re such a tease, Traffy…”
The two laughed before Yca crawled close to him and rested her head against his bare tattooed chest. “You know why I called you Traffy?” She whispered with a smile forming onto her dimples, locking her eyes onto his.
Law raised an eyebrow as he gave an amused look. “Oh? Why then? Is it because you keep calling me by my last name and make it short to make it easier to call me whenever you love to bother me?”
Yca shook her head before adding a sensual kiss onto his abs. “Close but no.” Law chuckled a bit before he waited in anticipation. “Then why? Care to explain, Yca-ya?”
“Well… I love eating taffies although I love eating raw meat. And your last name of course, has a nice tongue for me to call you whenever we’re on our shifts. So I thought ‘Traffy’ gives a cute nickname for you since you are a cute boy~” Yca giggled before cuddling him close. “Mmm… That’s very sappy of you.. And sweet, thought it was a form of endearment to irritate me, no?”
“Ugh, you’re so annoying Traffy..”
“Yeah, yeah but you still love me, dum-head.”
“Shut up and cuddle me.”
“Alright, alright. I will.” He squirmed before he pulled her up to spoon her around, his hands wrapped around her stomach before he tasted her neck with his lips. “This is better?”
“Yeah… that’s it..” She softly groaned before a warm smile kept in lodged.
As the two tiredly rested together with their sweet and intimate talks, it flew fast of how their relationship flourished into a beautiful tree. This complicated relationship they had was rather strange, but it was addicting to the point both of them are content and mirthful to further their sentiment evening. They yawned as they kept staring at each other. Once they kissed their lips again, adding a rough push, Law gently placed her down on top of him before he released a dense breath. For once, Law was glad that Yca is his and she is his. To say the least, he let his guard down and opened his shell to share his moments with her. He thanked himself for having such a sweet woman who’s sleeping on him. From his fingers pushing the messy violet tresses, he nibbled her earlobe before the fluffy bed caused him to drift off into a bountiful sleep.
