Let's Dance

Summary:

Diane wants to learn pole-dancing (no not for Harlequin!). She goes along to a class and learns a routine.
Then, she and the others from dance have a competition. Diane's friends (and their partners/husband) are invited to watch. She intends to use it to tease Harlequin some more (with Helbram's boyfriend, Gustaf).
Set after the events of the main fic (Take It Off).
Posted on the day it was posted as it was the day Strictly Come Dancing launched that year.

Notes:

So... Darkiulliet4444 gave me an idea for a two-shot in this universe. Thank you for the ideas! The idea I got HAD to be written; it was too good not to be! It's not quite what your suggestion was... but I hope you like it anyway! Fic title is by David Bowie, chapter's title is by Flo Rida feat Ke$ha.

Chapter 1: Right Round

Chapter Text

So...

Bin thinkin about tryin a...

Different kind of dance

You mean like the charleston or sumthin? - Melascula

No

Tho im curious how u know bout the charleston

Same way the rest of us do

From that celebrity dancin show u like - Grayroad

Wot kinda dance do u wanna learn Diane? - Elizabeth

Diane was a little nervous of answering this question. She'd... been intrigued watching Drole dance with his partner... boyfriend Gloxinia. She'd also been intrigued by watching Gloxinia, Galand and Ban work the pole. She plucked up her courage and typed the answer.

Poledancin

There was a pause; which she didn't like. It meant her friends were shocked by the suggestion or...

Oh yeah bet Harley wud like that! - Derieri

Or, they were going to think she was joking. She really wasn't. She wanted to try it; even if she turned out to be no good at it.

Im not jokin!

U know poledancin is REALLY hard right? - Elaine

How wud u know? - Melascula

I am friends with Gloxinia

And I am datin Ban

They both sed u need gud upper body strength 2 get ur body up the pole

Dancin round it is easy

Twirlin round it the way Ban Gloxinia n Galand do is REALLY tough - Elaine

Ur sure u wanna try that Diane? - Merlin

Yeah

I wanna try it

I cud let Ban know u wanna try poledancin - Elaine

NO!

He mite let it slip to Harley...

Not sure how ur gonna try it otherwise - Elizabeth

Diane knew there was one other avenue she could try. She pulled up a different chat.

Can u tell me where ur hubby lives?

I wanna talk 2 Galand

N u didnt think 2 ask Mel?

She mite get jelly

That her bf is gonna teach me how 2 dance

U need 2 ask her if shes alrite wif him teachin u

IF she sez yes she can tell u were they live

Diane had hoped she wouldn't say that. She also knew however, that she would want to be asked before one of her friends started getting taught how to perform by her own boyfriend. She pulled up her chat with Melascula instead.

XxX

Melascula had been surprisingly quick to agree. She had also said something about Diane maybe teaching Galand some ballroom dancing in return. Diane figured the purple haired woman just wanted to slow dance with her boyfriend properly. Or... maybe he'd said something about wanting to learn and Melascula figured she might help. Diane swallowed down the nerves that had kept her in place and knocked on the door. It didn't take long for someone to come to the door.

“Hiya... huh? Are ya lost?” Fraudrin had answered. And didn't appear to know who she was. Diane could tell by his tone he thought it would be Grayroad at his door.

“Can I talk to Galand?” She asked.

“Oh... I'll get him for ya. Do... do I know ya from sum-where? Ya luk rahtha fa-mill-ee-are...” She shivered. That sounded like he was drunk.

“D-Diane.”

“Oh, rite. Ya Harley's squ-ease.” And friends with your girlfriend; how could you not remember that?! Fraudrin had headed back inward; leaving the door open. Diane shrugged, before following him in. She at least remembered to close the door behind her.

“Galand... ya got a viz-it-or. I don't think she wants ya for a gud time tho.”

“Are you still drunk, Fraudrin? I know you drank a lot last night but...” Diane was a little curious how they couldn't tell. Or... maybe Galand was used to dealing with a drunk or hungover Fraudrin.

“I'm not... ugh my hed hurts.” That confirmed Diane's suspicions.

“Go get a glass of water and take a cold shower. That'll help sober you up.” Monspeet suggested. The suggestion appeared to fall on deaf ears.

“MY HED HURTS!” He shouted, Diane having to cover her ears from the noise.

“When you have done both of those things, we will get you something for the headache. Now shoo.” Fraudrin grumbled, but did as Galand was telling him to do. Once the purple haired man had disappeared along the corridor, the two of them turned to her.

“Sorry about him. He's... normally not as bad as that.” Monspeet told her, scratching the back of his head sheepishly. It did mean the light caught the edge of the band on his finger. Diane had to grin at that. Apparently, he and Derieri both wore their rings even when they weren't going anywhere.

“We had company last night. And we played never have I ever. Fraudrin literally drank to everything but his own comments.”

“How many?” She asked.

“Us three, Meliodas, Zeldris, Drole, Gloxinia, Ban. And all of us purposefully kept saying things we knew would get Fraudrin.” Monspeet smirked.

“And his particular poison is vodka. So... 14 shots.” Diane winced; knowing that was a lot.

“We've only had him this bad once before; after my stag do. But... quite a few of us had headaches that morning.” Diane shook herself, before giving them a look.

“I came here because I wanted to talk to Galand.”

“Right... What can I do you for?” Her cheeks flushed; because she wasn't sure he'd like her answer.

“I... I want you teach me to pole dance.” She got a stunned silence in answer.

“Bet Harlequin would like that!” Galand remarked. He thought she was joking; she could tell.

“I'm serious!”

“I know. You do know it's not easy, right?”

“So I've been told.” She was surprised that he did; but maybe Melascula had asked him to show her.

“Can you do chin ups?”

“What? Where'd that...?”

“You need good upper body strength to hoist your weight up the pole. Dancing around the pole I'm sure you could do... probably better than I can. Getting up the pole for a routine... that I'm not sure about.”

“I've... never tried.” She answered honestly.

“Then why not come along to an exercise class with me? The gal who told me about it won't get jealous, don't worry.” Diane wondered what he was getting at.

“You're kidding right? Galla is totally the sort to get jealous!”

“Was... this the gal who regretted kissing you?” Diane wasn't sure where she'd heard that; but definitely recall it being said.

“The very same. Another friend of hers can't stand me. Though... I know Derocchio recorded the two of us skinny dipping together; and that kiss. So he will have seen it.”

“Not sure why she even stays friends with Bellion... he's a jerk!” Monspeet commented. Diane figured there was a story there too.

“Do tell.”

“Galand had told Galla to come and watch him work; since she'd encouraged him to apply for the job. Of course, her other friends came along too. Was it Dahaka who thought we were all hot or Atra?” Monspeet shook his head, deciding that it didn't matter that much.

“Anyway... Bellion did not look impressed. Saying how he could do it better than the rest of us.” Galand remarked.

“Particularly while you were performing, if I remember right?” Diane grinned; sensing where this conversation was going.

“Of course; he had to be better than the new guy at pole dancing. Galla waved money after my performance; so I went over in... well; you've saw what I perform in.” Diane had and she also knew Galand was muscly.

“You're better looking than him, aren't you?” She realised.

“I think it probably was jealousy. All of us are hot.” Diane hoped Monspeet realised he'd included himself in that statement.

“Possibly; don't want to see the guy naked. Anyway... I asked Galla how my performance was and she told me it was amazing. I also might have asked if any of them would be adverse to me doing what what she waved would get her.”

“What did... oh. She waved a twenty right?” Diane knew what that would get her and grinned.

“Yep. Dahaka was alright with it; possibly jealous Galla snogged me I think. My nephew didn't want me to but...”

“You have a nephew?”

“How do you think I met this lot? My brother is about... Dreyfus' age, I think? So my nephew isn't that much younger than me.” Galand told her, shrugging his shoulders.

“You know what we ask our patrons that wave twenties, don't you Diane?”

“If they'd like to help you out of your costume.”

“Bellion decided I couldn't do it myself... or maybe I wouldn't because I was shy.” Diane smirked. She had a feeling she knew where this was going.

“So I gave Galla a look and she told my nephew to cover his eyes after nodding at me. Once I saw he had... Well, you know what a twenty gets! Bellion squealed and covered his eyes; not wanting to see another man naked.”

“I remember you telling us that Galla and Dahaka both thought you were gorgeous and Atra and Derocchio looked rather jealous.” Monspeet added, smirking at the memory. Bellion had been rude to all of them, after all.

“I told one of them to record what was happening and send it to him. Galla handed her phone to one of them, didn't see who, and they did so.”

“Served him right after mocking us all night that he got an eyeful at the end. You know how our final routine goes, don't you?”

“Not one to speculate... but if I was... he's totally got one like Fraudrin does; short and...”

“Wuz dis bout me?” Diane jumped; seeing their room mate had returned. His hair looked wet though, so he'd obviously listened to the advice.

“Not talking about you. We're talking about Bellion. And how he's probably...”

“Got a short dick.” Fraudrin finished the sentence and got laughs from both of the others. Diane shrugged; thinking that men were all the same.

“I've had a sh-ow-ah n drank sum war-ta.”

“Right then. Now we'll find you some meds for that headache and you can go back to bed.” Galand told him.

“But...”

“No. You're going back to bed Fraudrin. You are not in a state for polite company at the moment.” Monspeet gave him a look. Diane kind of hoped Fraudrin resisted; just so she could record the other two forcing him to go back to bed. Sadly for her, he didn't. He took the offered meds.

“Wunno yous gonna kiss me gudnite?” He asked, sounding eager.

“In your dreams.”

“Fraudrin... we tried that once and... you're into it but I'm not.” Diane snorted; trying very hard not to laugh at their answers. The purple haired man turned around and headed back along the corridor.

“So... now we've finished with that little distraction... do you want to try out exercise class?” Diane pondered it and decided she would. She only hoped it didn't clash with dance or... Matrona would be very unimpressed. They were starting to practice for a competition in two months. And Diane had to be there.

“If it doesn't clash with dance.” Galand told her when said exercise class was and she breathed a sigh of relief. She... hadn't started job hunting yet; so had no interviews or anything. But Matrona would step up the practice schedule as it got closer to the performance. It was definitely the time to try it.

“Then yes I would.”

“Great! I'll get Mel to text you where and exactly when it is.” Both Galand and Diane then spotted Monspeet had his phone in his hand and he looked rather flustered. Galand smirked; going to see what had flustered his room mate. Diane decided that meant it was time for her to head home and so did so. She'd find out what it was from Derieri later.

XxX

Diane was more nervous coming here than she'd been going to the guys' flat. It was rather nondescript; which was funny considering what it housed. She figured perhaps it was an exercise studio for other types of exercise too. She punched through the nerves the way Derieri punched through some of her opponents and headed in. She was immediately greeted by two red haired men she knew.

“Oh! I wasn't expecting you to show up! Learning to perform for Harley? I'm sure he'd love that!” Diane gave Gloxinia a look.

“I'm just giving this a try. If I'm no good at it... at least I've tried it and know.”

“Need more people like that in the world. People like... this one!” Diane winced hearing the slap.

“Galla! I've told you before my arse is my girlfriend's and that isn't you!” She then turned to look at the woman who'd sneaked up on Galand. She had ginger hair, which looked rather long, tied up and a pink leotard with black leggings under it. Diane had been pleased she wore her dance leggings and her sports bra. She noted both red haired men had on tight shorts and dragged her eyes back up.

“Hope you're wearing sports gear under that top... because you don't want loose fitting things on when you're up the pole. They get in the way and get tangled so...” Diane looked around nervously for a changing room.

“Trust me, the guys don't complain if you take your top off right here. I won't either.” Galla's comment made Diane wonder about the other woman; if she was like Grayroad and liked both. She shuffled over to a nearby corner and turned around, before taking off her tee. It got put in her bag, bag left in the corner of the studio by some yoga mats; which answered Diane's earlier question. Galla looked a little envious.

“How come all the other gals who come here got such big tits?” Diane's cheeks flushed.

“You know my friend Harley, Galla?” Gloxinia asked.

“Not personally. Is she cute?” That got giggles from all three of them.

He actually. And this is his girlfriend; Diane. She's a friend of ours.”

“Ah... so she's saw both of you naked, right? She does know where you both work?”

“She also knows that you snogged him after you'd been filmed skinny dipping by a friend of yours.”

“Keep that quiet! I don't need Bellion on my back tonight. He thinks I keep... ugh... flirting with Galand. And that ship sailed; because I regretted snogging him while drunk.”

“I regretted being drunk when it happened; but I don't regret the act.” Galand told her with a cheeky grin.

“Quit flirting with him, you keep saying he's taken Galla!” Diane heard a rather rude voice interrupt. The source was a pale skinned man in dark blue leggings. He had long blue hair too... almost as long as Gloxinia's. She presumed this man to be the Bellion she'd heard about. The jerk.

“Just cos you don't understand a gal can chat to a guy without flirting with him Bellion...” Galla grumbled under her breath.

“Another waif who got lost? You do know this is hard right?” Not as hard as trying not to punch you in your smug face... Diane thought.

“Lay off her. She's not here to show you up; even though that is what you think is going to happen, Bellion.” Galla told him and he glared at Diane. He shook his head; deciding she wasn't worth the effort and went off to warm up.

“He might have applied for a job the same time I did and I got the job and he didn't.” Gloxinia whispered.

“So he hates us because we work where he was turned down from.” Galand told her.

“He hated you before that Galand. You were better than him the first night you showed up. And he's never forgave you for that.”

“Then he really needs to get over himself!” Galla laughed; clearly agreeing with him.

“Why are you even friends with him then?”

“You two only see this toxic thing he turns into. He's actually a nice guy... just really competitive.”

“And you've had him between your legs, haven't you?” Diane thought she'd figured out and saw Galla's cheeks flush at the mention.

“Excuse you! He's not my type actually. Derocchio is more my type... but I'm not sure I'd date him.” She answered.

“Sorry! I sometimes speak without thinking.” Diane hoped the other woman didn't get annoyed with her. Galla waved a hand dismissively; so she knew it was going to be forgotten about.

“Honestly... he wishes. Thinks he's all that... so you know he's got a short one.” Diane giggled; realising the other woman was right.

“And the quiet ones are the blessed ones. Was Drole working the night this lot came in, Glox?” Galand asked him. Diane noticed the red haired man had stepped back and started stretching; so she started copying him. A quick glance showed her the others had started stretching too; the instructor had just shown up. It was a relatively small woman with very strong looking arms.

“You were the only pole dancer in that night... and Drole tended to work nights I was in.”

“And we both know why that is, don't we Diane?” Galand winked and Diane had to laugh.

“Shame... Because Drole is literally the embodiment of 'the quiet ones are the blessed ones'.” Gloxinia only smirked; knowing that said man was his.

“Two more minutes while I get set up... then we get started!” The instructor had quite a thick accent; but Diane wasn't sure where the accent came from. She saw the instructor also in form-fitting clothes so guessed that was the norm here. She was a little self-conscious.

“Don't get shy, alright? You do... is raunchy the right word? numbers in ballroom dancing, right?” Gloxinia looked at her curiously.

“I have done. Tangoes get pretty raunchy in places.”

“Think of this like that then... only your partner is the pole you're gripping.” That... wasn't bad advice; considering Gloxinia hadn't done ballroom dancing. What he did in the club with Drole didn't count.

“Right, everyone warmed up?” The instructor got yeses from everyone and so she gestured to the poles now set up. Diane made her way over to one, saw a flash of blue and turned to go to a different one. She noticed Galand standing beside Bellion though, possibly ordained by the blue haired man.

“You nervous? I was a little nervous before my first time. Then I saw we weren't stripping clothes off and relaxed a lot. It's quite fun actually... even if you can't lift yourself off the ground.” Galla remarked. Diane gave it a ponder; before realising she'd get in trouble if she took this up as well.

“A little. I'm... not sure if I can do it.” She told Galla, before hearing a snap of fingers. Everyone else had turned to look at their instructor, so she did so too.

“Now... for those of us who can... we'll start with the work up the pole... before we all get too sweaty. My insurance doesn't cover sweaty students slipping off the pole!” Based on the laughs this got from the class; they knew the instructor was joking.

“If you can't, just copy what I'm doing on the ground. It's just spinning around the pole... which height you are at to do this doesn't matter much.” Bet it's a better work out up the pole though... wonder if I can? Diane gripped the pole, eyes now watching how the instructor pulled herself up the pole. She copied; surprising herself when she didn't immediately slide back down. It didn't surprise her that there were others up the pole too; Galla being one of them.

“Not bad, Di. Not many can get up the pole on their first lesson.” Diane wasn't sure she liked the nickname Galla had given her but she was concentrating on keeping up the pole. The instructor started lowering back down again and Diane copied. A few more of these ups then downs meant she could feel her arm muscles tingling a little from the work. She got the same feeling after practising a lift for a while, so it was fine. She glanced and saw a certain blue haired man glaring at her. Possibly annoyed at her success; who even knew?

“Now for the slow spins. Just slowly; I'm not fetching the sick bucket for students who don't pay attention and get sick. And they can clean up their own mess!” Again; this earned laughs. This instructor was a lot more laid back than Matrona; that was for certain. Those who could; including the instructor, scrambled up the pole. Diane was a little nervous, but copied the instructor. She noted they weren't as high this time.

“When you're ready, spin yourself around the pole slowly.” Diane was curious how to do that, so watched how the instructor was doing it. She copied it, slowly starting to turn. She could feel the pole start to slip a little but kept up with the slow turn. It was working her body differently to how dance normally did but she liked it. She might just have to find ways to do this exercise after the competition.

XxX

“Any good Diane?” Galand had come over after the session. She'd been surprised by how much hard work it was but...

“It was fun.” She answered him.

“You're kidding right? You're a natural Di!”

“Diane.” She corrected Galla.

“Oh... I'll keep that in mind... you are coming back, right? You're great at this.”

“I might... This isn't the only kind of dance I do and the other kind is likely to get busy soon.”

“What kind of dance do you do? Burlesque?” Galla looked rather hopefully over Diane with her comment. Definitely bi. Diane added in her head.

“The ten ballroom dances in the ten dance actually.” She answered; surprising Galla.

“Wow, really? You know these two and do formal stuff?”

“I met these two through someone on my course... her husband works with these two.” She gave Galand a look.

“What?”

“You're being watched.” Glared at more like. Diane thought, noticing a certain blue haired man giving Galand a dirty look.

“May I help you?” Galand turned to Bellion.

“Yeah, quit bringing your friends from that fucking club here! They show the rest of us up!”

“They show you up you mean.” Gloxinia muttered, only just loudly enough for Diane to hear him.

“Jealous? Thought we weren't worth your time, Bellion.” Galand chose to remark; keeping his voice even.

“You're right. You aren't.” Bellion walked off, leaving Diane to shake her head.

“Galand told me to come here after graduation; since graduates have to leave societies. It unfortunately only gave him more reasons to hate Galand.” Diane recalled Gloxinia would have done this sort of thing in his society and so this was a good fit.

“And then he brought you and... you were amazing; seriously. You sure you haven't done this before?”

“Never. I've just... had lots of practice with lifts; being the strongest gal at the class. Sometimes... we enter unofficial performances with me or one of the other gals performing the male role in the routine.” Jericho and Guila doing a tango together was... interesting. Diane added in her head.

“Ooh, I'll bet! Must be hard lifting gals right? Don't want to touch anything you shouldn't...”

“It's usually laughed off if a gal... or guy touches somewhere she or he shouldn't.” Gustaf is particularly fun to fluster if his hands catch your tits. Diane added again.

“Unless they do it on purpose, right?” Diane nodded; knowing it would make the other woman laugh. It didn't disappoint.

“You're coming back though, right?” Galla looked hopeful. Possibly because...

“All the others in your group of friends are guys, right?”

“How'd you...?” She looked shocked, but didn't dispute the fact.

“I get on better with guys than gals... but I get on with you. You'll come back here when your stuff at ballroom dancing settles down, right?” Diane nodded and got a cheer from the ginger woman.

XxX

Diane was nervously warming up. She'd gone along to practice her performance at the club a few times when Harlequin wasn't in; in her sports gear. And she hadn't started this to perform for Harlequin; thank you Derieri! It had been suggested that she did perform after a couple of sessions by Galla. Galand, Gloxinia and Ban had seconded that; because she was a natural, apparently. She smirked at that; Ban had been invited along to wind up Bellion even more; at Galla's suggestion. Though... Ban had told them he was only going the once; ever fond of a prank.

This was the real deal today. She'd gone along with Escanor, like she normally did. The others at the club thought the man didn't do pranks; even though she knew for a fact he did! Hence; he was in on this one. As were Galand, Gloxinia and Ban. Ban couldn't tell Elaine about it until afterwards; which would keep Harlequin from finding out that way. Galand and Gloxinia had been sworn to secrecy as well; no telling anyone about it until afterwards.

She'd asked the three of them what to wear when performing the routine. Galand had told her to perform in something form fitting that she was comfortable with other guys seeing. Ban had said something about not performing naked; the jiggly bits get in the way. Her cheeks had gone pink at that; but figured the blue haired man would know, he'd performed a routine or two in the nude. Gloxinia had told her that the guys would approve of her in lingerie; but she didn't have to wear it if the stares would make her uncomfortable. She'd elected to wear her bikini; which showed off her body nicely without flashing too much of her arse or tits. Not that... some of the performers hadn't seen her tits before. They'd been at the beach after the last biology test, or that sleepover with the couples daring each other.

“You'll drive him wild like that.” She jumped; trying to work out where the voice had come from. She turned around and found the source of the voice.

“Harlequin, I mean. I know Mel doing this for me would. Especially if she was in something like that.”

“You're braver than me! I wouldn't be trying this!” That was the only other person in the club. Helbram; who had to witness the look on Harlequin's face when he saw this routine. Gloxinia had been told off for letting slip to him; but Diane wasn't too angry. Helbram wouldn't tell. He was too fond of pranking his best friend to do that!

“You know everyone is going to come in, right? And anyone who comes out here will see your performance?”

“I am used to performing in front of a crowd Galand. I do it at competitions.” Diane snapped; her nerves making her irritable.

“You're still nervous though, aren't you?” Galand realised.

“Huh, how'd you...?”

“It's okay to be nervous. I still get nervous whenever I perform a routine for the first time. You'll do great; I know you will.” Galand reassured her. Diane took a deep breath and continued warming up.

“Besides... you don't need to start performing until Harlequin gets here. Everyone who is in always comes to watch the performances of their colleagues. Including Escanor, who is on Harlequin watching duty.” Helbram told her. He had his phone in his hand; Escanor going to text him when Harlequin got here so they could get set up. They could dim the lights and cue the music and her performance would begin. She practised a few of the moves she would be doing; getting a little few pointers from Galand on how to improve them. She grinned at how quick he was to tell her that the move she did was good; but she could make it even better.

“Harley is here. As are a few more of our colleagues; Gloxinia and Ban being a couple of them.” Helbram told her. Diane got into position; her heart rate picking up just a little. This was the scary part. She repeated her mantra to herself. You've got this. You're gonna nail it. They're gonna love it. She closed her eyes and the first strains of the song picked up.

First, when there's nothing... She started the first slow movements, reaching her arms up in a slow arch over her head.

But a slow glowing dream... Her arms had finished the arch movement now; she started to move them forward.

That your fear seems to hide... Her arms now moved from in front of her to the sides, out-stretched to form a cross.

Deep inside your mind... She got up to her knees after she finished the motion.

All alone, I have cried... She reached up as though to drag herself up a rope or... she knew she'd knelt down in front of the pole and in silhouette like this it would look like she was dragging herself up the pole.

Silent tears full of pride She now started to get to her feet, ready for the next bit.

In a world made of steel She stood ready now; waiting for the hit of the beat.

Made of stone She heard shocked gasps and cheers from the few who were in when the lights on the stage flashed on with the first beat of the drum. She started shaking her hips in time with the beat.

Well, I hear the music Diane started sashaying over towards the pole, prompting more cheers. She only hoped Harlequin's was one of them.

Close my eyes, feel the rhythm She closed her eyes, resting both hands on the edge of the pole.

Wrap around, take a hold of my heart She wrapped her hands around the pole, as though she intended to climb it. Just to tempt the watchers. Not yet. She thought.

What a feeling

Being's believin'

I can have it all, now I'm dancing for my life She spun around the pole, on the ground like those who weren't strong enough yet at the class had done.

Take your passion She blew a kiss and winked at the watchers... Harlequin. Who looked as shocked as everyone else.

And make it happen She was sure her cheeks went pink; but she gripped the pole over her head and rubbed her body down it. It got louder cheers from the guys watching and she saw her boyfriend's cheeks go red.

Pictures come alive

You can dance right through your life She started copying the spins around the pole from earlier, waiting for the next verse. This was the scary part; but she knew she could do it. She pushed the thought of the watchers out of her head and got ready.

Now I hear the music

Close my eyes, I am rhythm She'd gripped the pole here, getting ready to climb it and spin.

In a flash, it takes hold of my heart She pulled and felt relief flood through her that she didn't slip. That was her biggest fear.

What a feeling

Being's believin'

I can have it all, now I'm dancing for my life She was spinning around the pole while off the ground now; just like she knew the other pole dancers did, to loud cheers from the majority of those watching. She knew Galand was cheering her on; because she was nailing it, but wasn't sure if Gloxinia and Ban were too.

Take your passion

And make it happen She was embracing the pole like it was her partner now, rolling her hips against it. A quick glance confirmed Harlequin had bright red cheeks; because he'd felt what she was doing.

Pictures come alive

You can dance right through your life

What a feeling... The music went softer and she slid down the pole, dancing her way away from it again. She knew what was next and it would look brilliant if she nailed it.

What a feeling (I am music now) She ran towards the pole and reached out. Her grip was strong and she twirled around it.

Being's believin' (I am rhythm now) The motion got louder cheers from the group watching and she felt relief shoot through her. This was hers now; she'd nailed it. The only slightly nervy bit now was where she had to let go and lift her arms up at the end; but she knew she could do it.

Pictures come alive

You can dance right through your life She started the spinning around from earlier; knowing she could do it and the guys watching liked her doing it too.

What a feeling (I can really have it all) Diane carefully unwrapped her legs and stretched them out to resemble the splits.

What a feeling (pictures come alive when I call) She used the momentum to spin her a little faster and felt a slight slide downward when she wrapped her legs back up.

I can have it all (I can really have it all) She shimmied up the pole a little, to loud cheers. She wasn't sure why they were cheering at that though.

Have it all (pictures come alive when I call) She reached out with one arm, switching to the other after she'd grasped the pole again.

(Call, call, call, call)

(What a feeling) More spinning around the pole, slowly; just like the instructor had said. Slow, sensual turns were just as impressive as quick ones when performed well; she recalled all three of the pole dancing guys saying. And she could recall it did from her own observations too.

I can have it all (being's believin')

Being's believin' (take your passion, make it happen) Diane slowed her spins to a stop, facing forward, looking right at Harlequin.

Make it happen (what a feeling) She blew him a kiss, much to the amusement of everyone else.

What a feeling! Her other hand got raised above her head, only her legs holding her up the pole. The song now faded out and all of them started applauding; just like tended to happen in the club.

“Knew you could do it Diane!” That was Galand, from where he was handling the music. He'd got a different view to everyone else; but obviously he'd saw she'd nailed it. She scrambled down and made her way to the front of the stage.

“Wow! You're amazing! Fancy a job?” Diane laughed; knowing Meliodas was joking with that job offer. She was getting similar comments of how good she was from the other guys who worked in the club; but there was only one she was particularly bothered about.

“D-Diane? When did you learn to do that? That was... you were... you looked...” She giggled, sitting on the edge of the stage in front of Harlequin. Him stumbling over his words was adorable.

“I've had a few lessons... and a few pointers. Did you enjoy my performance?” She asked, a tiny bit nervous now.

“Y-yeah. You were amazing!” He gushed, Diane smiling softly. She had a feeling he wanted to show her his appreciation with a kiss, so climbed down. That he scurried over and brushed his lips to hers didn't surprise her. That he did it in front of the others did. She smirked, before leaning back in for a proper kiss.

“One, two, three...” She heard Meliodas say after a couple of seconds.

“No kissing the patrons on the lips!” All of them said at the same time; making Harlequin jump back as though burned.

“Even if they're your partner; it's not allowed.” He grinned cheekily at them both. He was fully aware more than one of the group assembled by the stage had broken that rule.

“Did you enjoy doing that Diane? Was it hard? It looked hard, especially with all of us watching you.” Diane smiled softly.

“Why, you thinking about doing something like this for Gustaf?” Helbram only laughed.

“As if I could do that!” He answered.

“So... apart from Harley, since we can tell he liked it; who'd like to see their partner pole dance?” Helbram had shook himself, before throwing that out there.

“Wouldn't mind it, particularly if he's naked. Failing that, wouldn't mind couple dancing with him... in the nude.” Helbram grinned wickedly; obviously working out how to ask his boyfriend to do such a thing.

“Not sure Elaine has the strength in her arms to support her... but if she could do it I'd like to see it.” Ban answered.

“I'd love to see Mel wrapped around that pole... or to perform a routine with her.” Galand's cheeks were a little flushed; so Diane figured he was picturing something salacious.

“Well Drole? Can you pole dance?” Gloxinia asked him with a cheeky grin.

“No! My body is too heavy for me to support myself like you can. Besides... I get a second hand thrill when you tell me about your performances; so I don't need to.” Drole answered.

“Hendy used to; back before we got too old to perform every night, didn't you?” Diane's jaw dropped. She'd never have picked him as a pole dancer!

“Dreyfus... I've told you before not to call me Hendy at work!” Hendrickson's cheeks were flushed, but Diane noticed that the blue haired man didn't dispute that he used to perform though.

“And yeah, I would like to see my honey working the pole. In skin tight white briefs with bunny ears and tail.” It was Dreyfus' turn to blush; both at what was said and the younger performers laughing.

“Not sure if Ellie can dance... but I'd like to see her holding that pole while she's naked. Or with it between her butt cheeks or titties.” Meliodas' comment got a couple of head shakes and some snorts of laughter. Diane knew that only left one man to answer.

“If Merlin could do it... she'd have done it already to tease me. Lord knows that woman likes to tease me!” Diane laughed; she knew that one! She'd helped the black haired woman prank Escanor in the past. And had been told by Harlequin that the red head had been offered a show that night and turned it down.

“Would you like to watch us practice Diane?” Harlequin asked her. She thought about it for a moment and decided she would intruding.

“I'll leave you boys to it. See you later!” She got cheers and wolf whistles as she headed towards the door and wondered why. She then remembered she was only wearing her bikini and scurried off to the changing rooms to change her clothes. She knew she'd screamed, but didn't care about that right now. She was more worried about quickly getting changed before someone saw her naked.

Notes:

Diane is wearing the Bikini costume you get for making the SR Diane a UR in Grand Cross (without the white cloth bits) when she's doing the routine. Said routine is danced to 'Flashdance... What a Feeling' by Irene Cara.
