Work Text:
It is not an uncommon occurrence for the Chief Floral Officer of Eyedol Games to receive mail.
Angry letters, mostly. Follow-ups from auditors seconds away from falling to the Ur-Labyrinth of their minds. Bills and other necessities, dutifully paid by the company, as money is ever meaningless numbers for a company under their CEO. Families asking about The Incident. Letters from The Incident. Campaign flyers for candidates in the local district. All the meaningless and ordinary things one could expect from corporate life.
The CFO laid back in her plushy office chair, twice the size of her small frame, languidly shuffling through mailbox clutter.
Whoever had sent this letter was quite privy to their actions at Eyedol Games, looked like.
Well, then. A smile blossomed on her lips.
She, too, knew how to play hardball.
Good day to you Iris,
Before anything, it’s great to hear from such a big fan of Eyedol Games! As you know, we’ve been serving the entertainment industry for countless years already, so it’s always a joy to meet people who’ve been inspired by the works we create.
Of particular interest to us is how you have become aware of what lies beneath. You appear, to all intents and purposes, to be a native of this Universe. Are you in the Loop? If so, it would be of interest to us to know what level of interactions you maintain with your non-Looping alternate. Or perhaps I am mistaken on your Universe of origin? After reading your letter with great attention and taking in what you’ve written, it shows that you have some very interesting ideas! I cannot comment on any of these over written text without signing some legal papers first, of which I’d have to write up an Non Disclosure Agreement for you to sign (company trades and secrets, you understand) as well as an All Disclosure Agreement (our CEO insists on it), but I see how our good companies could collaborate further if that is of your interest.
There are several burger places nearby that are positively decadent. I would be open to meeting at one of them. As for various preferences, Poppy, Canterbury Bell and Hyacinth are all equally good for flowers. As for scents, the first time I was in an overpopulated movie theater is something I will always treasure. I like the cereal and the milk before the bowl, I like orange juice, and I always make sure to traverse mazes Southward.Should you be interested in signing the legal papers, please have your legal team, or equivalent, reach out to ours.
Yours,
CFO, Eyedol Games
p.s. Given being in possession of a name, it appears you have not yet encountered JR. If you are particularly fond of yours, I'd recommend keeping it this way.
