The water hit the flat metal roof again with a clank
"Again!?" Gabriel said sinking down into his chair
This was the third time this week he's gotten trapped at work because of these heavy storms and the weird thing is everytime he complains about them everyone says there was no storm
Thankfully his coworker,James, was with him this time
"Jeez I thought you were lying, how'd we not notice this?" James asked
"I don't know but I wanna get out of here"
"Same"
"How bad is it??" He asked James hopefully
James looked out the window and came back with a look "pretty bad"
He sunk more in his chair
"Ughhhh I'm just gonna go I'll be fine"
"Come on Gabe don't do that you don't have a car you'll get sick"
"I'll call an Uber"
"An Uber in this weather? I don't think so"
"Just whatever I'm not staying in this place forever I have a cat to feed"
Gabriel got up from his chair and walked to the door opening it but when he was about to step out there was a strike of lightning right infront of him
"GABRIEL" James yelled and Gabe stepped back in fear
"Shit dude I almost died"
He was staring at the place the lightning struck before he slammed the door closed
"Nevermind I guess" he sighed running his hands through his curly hair
"Told you to just stay inside"
"Ya whatever" Gabriel said back in a mocking tone
"The sooner we get out of here the better this sucks" James moaned
"Try having this happen to you almost everyday" Gabriel said with spite
"Ya ya" James replied with an eyeroll
Gabriel sat in his chair again hoping the storm would stop soon
All of a sudden the door swung up with a slam
“What the fuck??” James yelled falling out his seat in fear
Gabriel stood up walking to the door
“Hello??” He yelled thinking ‘someone must’ve opened the door there's just no way it opened like that’
He stepped outside and then heard a loud clap of thunder
And then everything went dark…
