Chapter Text
The Wind
The wind carries tunes forgotten by man
Tales unsung from distant lands
A bittersweet melody of lives long past
Brought within an instant and gone in a flash
A flame burning bright, smothered into ash
The flames that created us, bright and vast
The ashes that birthed us, welcome us back
Though here now, we may be, the chaos will always see.
The stars that watch over us, shining and swirling.
We return to the ashes, and ignite the flames.
Our souls as the tinder, our stories all told.
By the whirling zephyr, that holds our homes.
The wind carries on, gentle and sweet.
Weaving our stories in the endless breeze.
Through time, it connects us, interlacing our seams.
Across oceans, and rivers, storms and seas.
We've forgotten how to hear it, as the hours ticked by.
But they say, if you listen, you hear those before you, all recorded, and sung, in the wind's endless lullaby.
