Chapter Text
Chiyo Hirota
A 16-year-old who spends a lot of her free time creating YTPs of her favourite animes and editing a crossover anime between two of her favourite series. Her edits looked believable and have been spread around because people thought it was real multiple times.
Because of that, she earned the title of The Ultimate Editor. And so, she was invited to Hope's Peak Academy.
She stood in front of the school's doors. As a child, her parents both had job that needed them to move queite often. Constant moving and lack of social interaction with her peers made her be pretty socially awkward and anxious. So you can only guess how excited she was to meet all of her new classmates.
After five minutes, she realised she was literally just standing in front of the closed doors and doing absolutely nothing. She sighs and opens the doors and walks inside.
Her vision became dizzy and she fell unconscious.
Later, she woke up in an empty classroom. Still trying to get completely awake, she looked around. She noticed giant surveillance cameras in the classroom. She didn't care for them, I mean, there being a camera in the classroom is not that strange. However, the fact that windows were shouted by thick iron plates was.
Chiyo slowly leaves the room. Where now? She was supposed to go to the main hall before she lost consciousness. Mabey there?
Chiyo walked around for a bit before finding and entering the main hall.
And there there were.
Other students.
All of their eyes pointed at her.
"Hey, another new kid!"
"So counting her, there's 15 of us. Seems like a good cut-off point, but I wonder if that is everyone."
Chiyo quickly walked into the middle of the group of other students, hoping they would stop looking at her. She looked down to the floor. Good, she's not in center of attention right now.
She looked around a bit.
She decided to talk to the closest person to her. It was a tall guy with blonde hair and glasses.
"H-Hey, I'm Chiyo Hirota. I'm happy t-to meet you."
She said, trying her best to not look nervous.
Guy looked at her, almost like he's judging her.
"Name's Byakuya Togami."
Two stared at each other for a minute before Byakuya angrily said: "Stop staring at me!"
Chiyo takes few steps back, apologising to him, until he turned his head away. She looked down at the floor. That was horrible. Does he hate her? Chiyo felt her eyes tear up. No, not now. She whiped tears with her sleeve. She can't cry now. Not in front of all of these people. That would be a horrible first impression.
"Are you ok miss?" Someone asked.
Chiyo looks up. In front of her was a guy. He had an overweight figure. He was wearing glasses, an orange tie with a blue arrow and an orange backpack. He seed gunenly worried for her.
"Y-Yeah. M-My name i-is Chiyo Hirota."
Boy smirked and adjusted his glasses. "I...am Hifumi Yamada. But if you wanna call me by my nickname: 'The Alpha and The Omega' I don't mind."
'Well, I know what he reads in his free time.' Chiyo though. "It's nice to meet you Miss Hirota" Hifumi said. "By the way, you wouldn't happen to know anything about the world of 2D, would you?"
"I do know a thing or two about it actually." Chiyo answered. "In fact, am the Ultimate Editor, famous for editing anime scenes and making.them look realistic." She tried.not to come off as to flattery of herself.
Hifumi's eyes spark with joy. "Y-You do?! Wow. I found another person of culture here!" He smiled. Chiyo couldn't help to not smile back.
Right at that moment, another person entered the main hall. Soon after the screen on the wall turned on. It showed a glitchy silhouette of someone or something. It said that they all needed to go to the gym. And so Chiyo, along with the rest of them, went there.
In the gym, it looked like it was all set up for an entrance ceremony.
"Hey there, howdy, hello! Is everyone there? Good! Now let's get this thing rolling!" An unknown voice said.
Suddenly on the stage apeard a teddy bear. One half of him was white while the other side was back with some weird...red eye thing...
"Huh?...a Teddy bear?"
"I'm not a Teddy bear. I...am Monokuma. I am this school's Headmaster! Nice to meet ya." Monokuma spoke.
"WHA-WHAAAAAT?! THAT TEDDY BEAR SPOKE!" Hifumi yelled.
"Young sir, some respect form You please. Mo-no-kuma." Bear said. "I dont wanna waste any of your time and the person writing this should go to sleep, so I'll just say it: I hope you like This school, because you will live here for the rest of your life. Dont even try to escape, it's useless."
Everyone in the room gasped. Was he serious?
"You can't do that! We have families and life outside!" People yelled.
"Well, there is one way to escape if you want freedom so much"
"And what would that be?" Byakuya questioned.
"It's easy actually." Monokuma said. Chiyo could swear that his face changed to menacing expression (if it can even change expressions) "If any of you kills another student, and gets away with it, can graduate and leave this dump forever!"
Time seemed to froze for a second. At least for Chiyo. For others not so much. The outrage happened. Everyone was saying that they won't kill anyone. One guy even took Monokuma iand lifted him into the air.
"Gotcha, you little piece of shit! I dunno if you're a toy or a stuffed or whatever the hell! Either way, I'm gonna rip you to fuckin' shreds!"
Monokuma starts flapping his arms around
"Wah! Violence against the Headmaster is in violation of school regulations!
"Shut the fuck up! Let me out of there or I swear to Christ..."
Monokuma starts beeping.
"Uh...guys? What's happening?"
"Toss him!" The purple haired girl yelled, "Just do it!"
Mondo threw Monokuma into the air, and as soon as he did...
Boom!
Monokuma exploded. Everyone was in shock.
"T-That could have blown my face off!"
"...But it didn't." Chiyo tried to be positive. "And the bear is gone now."
"Not a bear!"
Monokuma appeared on the stage again.
"Yeah, mesa with school regulations and you'll deeply regret it. Now, I wish you a great, but not exactly long, life in this institution!"
Monokuma, almost as fast as he came, he disapered.
The gym corrupted into chaos. Chiyo just looked down at the floor. She felt like crying, and was completely OK with that.
She remembered the last time when she saw her mom. It was right before she was suposed to go to school. She told her: "Calm down honey. I know, it's hard and stressful, but it will be OK! What is the worst thing that can happen? Just calm down and enjoy!"
Well, this is the worst that can happen.
