(A/N): This short arc takes place in between Drum Island and Alabasta.
The Going Merry was only a day away from Drum Island when of course something else bad happened.
A huge cyclone appeared in front of the ship from god knows where.
A boy with black hair and a long nose screamed.
Usopp: AAAAHHH!!! Where did that huge cyclone come from?? It was sunny a while ago!
Usopp: Age 17, Sniper of the Straw Hat Pirates
A girl with orange hair that fell to mid-neck groaned.
Nami: I hate Grand Line weather. This is no ordinary cyclone. We have to get out of its way!
Nami: Age 18, Navigator of the Straw Hat Pirates
A boy with green hair drew a sword.
Zoro: Can't we just cut it?
Roronoa Zoro: Age 19, Swordsman of the Straw Hat Pirates
Nami: <angry> That's not how cyclones work!
A boy with black hair and wearing a straw hat stepped up and looked at Nami.
Luffy: Could I punch it?
Monkey D. Luffy: Age 17, Captain of the Straw Hat Pirates
Nami: Shut up and help steer the ship out of its way!
Rain started pouring heavily onto the ship. A short, reindeer-like creature hid behind a tall, blonde boy with a cigarette.
Chopper: Save me, Sanji! I'm too important to die!
Tony Tony Chopper: Age 15, Doctor of the Straw Hat Pirates
The boy with the cigarette rolled his eyes.
Sanji: Why don't you just stay inside then? I have to protect the women.
Sanji: Age 19, Cook of the Straw Hat Pirates
He then yelled out two names.
Sanji: Nami-swaaan!! Vivi-chaaan!! Come to me and I'll protect you!
Hearts appeared on his eyes.
Nami: GO HELP LUFFY, YOU MORON!!
Sanji: Yes, ma'am!
He saluted her and hurried off.
Nami: Where is Vivi, actually?
A girl with blue hair in a ponytail ran over to Nami, followed by a big duck.
Vivi: Nami, what's happening? I was inside, thinking on what we were going to do once we got to Alabasta, when all of a sudden the ship starts shaking!
Nefertari Vivi: Age 16, Princess of Alabasta
Her duck, Karoo, quacked.
A flash of lightning appeared in the sky, followed by a loud boom of thunder. Karoo screamed and ran back inside the ship.
Nami: A random cyclone appeared! We have to get out of its path.
Vivi: We have to hurry. I want to get to Alabasta as soon as possible.
Nami: We will, don't worry. The boys should be steering the ship out of harm's way as we speak.
The two girls then heard cheering and yelling.
Usopp: Come on, Zoro! You can do it!
Chopper: I believe in you! Save us!
Sanji: Stop being a show-off!!
The girls turned and saw Luffy, Usopp, Chopper, and Sanji watching Zoro draw his sword and point it at the cyclone.
Zoro: I'm gonna cut this thing in half!
Vivi/Nami: AAAAHHHHHHH!!!!
Nami ran over to the boys and beat them up.
Nami: WHAT ARE YOU IDIOTS DOING??!! STEER THIS DAMN SHIP BEFORE WE ALL DIE!!!
Luffy rubbed his head.
Luffy: It'll be much faster if we cut it though.
Zoro: Yeah. Leave this to me.
Nami: <pissed> I've had enough of your stupidity! If we don't get out of the cyclone's way, our ship will be destroyed and we will all die! Do you want to die?
Luffy/Zoro: <nonchalantly> No.
Nami: Then get the ship out of the cyclone's way, damn it!
Usopp: <scared> U-Uh... Nami?
He pointed a shaky finger up.
Nami: What?
She gasped when she saw the cyclone right next to the ship and moving fast.
Nami: You have got to be kidding me. That's it. We're dead.
The cyclone hit the ship, causing it shake and making everyone on board scream. Wood flew everywhere.
Chopper: <sobbing> I was only on the ship for one day and we're already dying!! Waaaaahhhh!!

Luffy yawned and opened his eyes. He was greeted by a gray sky. He groaned and sat up.
Luffy: W-What time is it?
He rubbed his eyes and looked around. His crew were all sprawled out on the deck of the Going Merry. A side of the ship was almost completely wrecked.
Luffy: AAAAHHH!! What the—? Wake up, guys!!
He grabbed Usopp and shook him hard, causing his head to smack the deck.
Luffy: Why aren't you waking, Usopp!?
???: I'm afraid what you're doing to him will make him stay out longer.
Luffy turned his head and saw a woman with long, brown hair. She had a few white streaks in it and her hair was in a side ponytail.
Luffy: Who are you?
???: My name is Aimi. Your ship ended up near my house.
Luffy: Your house? Where are we?
Aimi: Gravebone Island.
Before Luffy could say anything else, they both heard a groan.
Vivi sat up and rubbed her head.
Vivi: Wait... where... where are we?
Luffy: Graveboner Island.
Aimi: Gravebone! 💢
Vivi: Wait, Gravebone Island? What are we doing here?
Aimi: By the looks of things, you're shipwrecked.
Vivi: <shocked> What? No, no, no! We have to get to Alabasta!
Aimi: Alabasta? That's not far from here. But I don't think you can sail to it with your ship's condition.
Vivi: <worried> Oh, no. Oh, no. This can't be the end...
Luffy: It's not! <to Aimi> Lady, can you fix our ship?
Aimi: No.
Luffy: WHAAAT??
Aimi: Do I look like someone who does that? I'm a bartender. But I do know someone who can. It'll cost a lot of money though.
Luffy: Who cares? Bring him to us! We're not done yet, Vivi.
Vivi wiped a tear from her eye and smiled.
Aimi: Why don't you wake your friends up and have a drink at the bar I own? I'll go get my friend who'll help you.
Luffy: Thanks, lady!

The Straw Hat crew sat in a bar full of people.
Nami rubbed her head and looked around.
Nami: So we're on Gravebone Island? Wow, we sure are lucky we didn't just sink in the ocean. Even more lucky that our ship didn't get completely destroyed.
Usopp: How did that even happen? We aren't that lucky.
Zoro: It's because I cut the cyclone.
Everyone Else: <shocked> WHAAAAAT??
Chopper: You mean, you actually did it? You saved us?
Zoro nodded and gulped down a cup of booze.
Usopp and Chopper started hugging him and sobbing. They thanked him over and over again and getting snot all over him.
Zoro: Get off me!
The people in bar looked over at the crew.
Sanji: You're drawing way too much attention to yourselves. Pathetic.
He then saw a pretty woman and immediately ran over to her.
Sanji: Why, helloooo there, madam. My name is Sanji. Are you available sometime today?
The woman slapped him and walked out of the bar.
Zoro and Nami both laughed, while Sanji sat back down in his seat, dejected.
Aimi walked over to them, cleaning a cup.
Aimi: Well, my friend is out analyzing your ship.
Luffy: Really? Thank you!
Aimi: It'll cost you 1,000,000 Berries at least for it to be fixed though.
There was silence for a while.
Nami: <outraged> ARE YOU SERIOUS!!??
Usopp was holding Nami back from leaping at Aimi.
Usopp: Calm down, Nami. Calm down.
Nami: How the hell am I supposed to stay calm at that outrageous price??
Aimi: <giggling> You sure are an interesting bunch.
She then looked and saw Karoo drinking from a cup with booze in it.
Aimi: Uh, is your pet supposed to be drinking alcohol?
Vivi: What?
She looked and saw Karoo gulping down the booze.
Vivi: <shocked> Karoo! No!
She pulled the drink away from him and set it down at the other end of the table.
Karoo looked at the cup, longingly.
Zoro saw the cup and started drinking it.
Chopper: Zoro!! What are you doing?
Zoro: Don't want to waste good booze.
Aimi giggled again.
Suddenly, the door to the bar opened and everyone was silent. The crew looked around confused.
They saw that everyone was staring at the door. They looked and saw someone standing there.
It was a tall man with (S/C) skin, (H/S) (H/C) hair, and (E/C) eyes. He had two (F/C) markings on both of his cheeks. They looked like tattoos.
He didn't say a word as he sat down at the bar counter. Everyone stared at him. The room was so quiet.
There were then whispers between the people. The crew could make out "We should leave" and "Why is he here?" among other things.
Aimi walked over to the man.
Aimi: Hello, (Y/N). What would you like?
The man pointed to a drink on display. Aimi nodded and went to get him that drink.
The crew stared at the man, confused.
Luffy: <whispering> Why's it so quiet?
Nami: <whispering> It has to do with that man. They seem scared of him.
Chopper: <whispering> He does look scary.
Usopp: <whispering> They probably have a good reason to be scared of him.
Aimi gave the man his drink. He sipped it quietly. Not a word left his mouth.
Nami beckoned Aimi over to her.
Nami: <whispering> Who is that man?
Aimi: <whispering> Oh, that's (Y/N) (L/N). I know he seems scary, but he's not. You have to get to know him first. Well, I'm the only one who actually knows him. The rest of the island fears him.
Sanji: <whispering> Why is that?
Aimi: <whispering> It's a combination of things. He's eaten a Devil Fruit, never smiles, hardly ever talks to anyone but me, and he has... something else...
Usopp: <whispering> What?
Aimi: <hesitant; whispering> Do you know what Devil Fruits are?
Luffy: Of course. I have one!
Nami: <whispering> Quiet down!
Aimi: <whispering> You do? Okay, then. Well, you know how some people say that there are devils I side those fruits?
Vivi: <whispering> Isn't that just a rumor?
Aimi: <whispering> Yes, but (Y/N)... well...
She stopped and looked at (Y/N), who was still sipping his drink in silence.
Zoro: What is it?
Aimi: <whispering> ...He has a real one inside him.
