'Now, Makoto. I want you to tell me if this hurts,' Byakuya said to him.
'R-right... I'll try to...' Makoto reached over to a counter to grab disinfectant and squirted it onto a cloth.
Just how did I get myself into this situation? Makoto blushed at the thought and pushed it to the depths of his brain - far enough to the point where he'd hopefully never think about it again. Well, it'd be okay because as this was going on inside his head, Byakuya interrupted it when he applied the cloth to the wound on Makoto's leg - causing him to wince.
'Ow!-' Makoto blurted out before he realized what he had said, 'S-sorry, you can continue,' he quietly apologized.
The blonde man sighed and did just as he said, not noticing that he was applying it more carefully, and paid more attention to Makoto's leg. He eventually grunted and stood up, 'I will be right back - don't think about moving from here,' to which he only got a simple nod.
Byakuya then turned around and walked away, leaving Makoto in an awkward silence, only him and his thoughts to be left there.
Does Byakuya really care for me?
Does he like me?
Do I like him?
No.
He shouldn't think about that stuff right now, but he couldn't stop himself from doing it anyway.
Hope really was lost in there.
But still...
'Ahem.'
Only one word snapped Makoto back to reality.
He blinked and looked around as if he was unfamiliar with his surroundings.
'I'm back, with a plaster.'
'Oh yeah,- sorry..'
'Sorry for, what exactly?' Byakuya sternly asked, crossing his arms clearly expecting an answer from him.
'Sorry for..- spacing out,' Makoto said, ashamed. Byakuya scoffed, 'Why are you always apologizing, even when it isn't your fault?'
...
That was a question he couldn't answer- he hadn't even thought of it. Would there even be an answer to it?
'Hm, spaced out again? Never mind the question, just focus on getting better.' Byakuya quickly spat out, turning his head away after re-adjusting his glasses.
Makoto stood up straight as he was once again reminded of Byakuya's existence, he was stood up, looking down at him - causing Makoto to blush a light tint of pink on his cheeks. This only caused Byakuya to fixate on Makoto even further.
To his surprise, Byakuya smiled at that and drew closer to him. It was unusual for him to smile, he seemed emotionless most of the time.
Oh my god. Is this really happening? Makoto was panicking, and there was nothing to help him calm down. At this point, Byakuya was barely inches away from Makoto - he felt his arms around him.
'I apologize for this, but there is simply no other way to calm you down, Naegi.'
...Naegi?... What happened to calling me Makoto? Perhaps he doesn't like me after all.
Byakuya then leaned in and grabbed the side of Makoto's hood and swiftly kissed him - except that it lasted longer than it should.
After a while, Byakuya pulled away, giving Makoto a chance to breathe a gasp of air, and he turned away.
'Makoto. Look at me.' he reached his hand out towards his chin and forced him to face him - and that was when he realized his face was redder than before.
He continued, 'Now, I just want to say that I love you, doesn't matter if you don't think the same back. You just need to know that.'
'But I can clearly tell you liked it by the expression on your face. I'll be going now.'
J'ai fini - jk i just lost motivation :)
