Chapter Text
Annabeth was on her knees, her body covered in wounds, her armor showing marks of intense battle. She was panting as she was trying to get up, to get on her feet to confront the guy in front of her. Golden eyes, as if made of gold alone, of the purest one. That face hurt horrible to see, it was a constant reminder of that broken promise of many years ago. But what hurt Annabeth the most…was failing to lead the Greek demigods into battle, that she, as her leader was unable to continue fighting.
Or at least that’s what she thought hurt the most until Annabeth heard the water of the bridge bellow them go into a fury, and without believing her eyes she saw that boy she didn’t get to know that well but always knew was powerful just from his parentage alone. He stood taller than the last time she saw him some years ago now…his stance was powerful like the sea itself; he bore on his body scars of many battles as well as a musculature worthy of a seasoned warrior; in his hand was wielded a sword. He was right besides Lu-, Kronos, and looked at the army of Camp Half-Blood almost with a smirk if you saw him as close as Annabeth did, from her disadvantageous position…but to the other demigods under her command and behind her, that guy stood beside Kronos. Annabeth gulped, she didn’t need to be told that this battle went from almost impossible to impossible, she didn’t show it too much, though…someone still needs to lead the charge to defend Olympus…but this…this was another level of threat.
Perceus Jackson…Son of Poseidon, almighty god of the Sea.
Son of one of The Big Three…
This can’t end well…
