As I sat with the squad, in the common room, I lazily scrolled through my phone. After all that happened, I’m still in shock that I’m alive. In fact, I’m still trying to process the fact I almost died on the battlefield. Let alone how it was the second time in a row. Two wars in one year is a lot to deal with.
But just as I was getting ready to call it a night, I felt my hand being touched. “We’re getting married after we graduate.” I heard the words but have no idea what was happening. That was until I looked at my hand.
And there it was. A silver band with green gems surrounding a pretty diamond. It looked lovely on my ring finger.
“Midoriya!” I finally looked up in time to see a certain green hair getting yelled at by pinky. “You two haven’t even been dating for a month. What gives?”
The freckled idiot just sat down next to me, before bringing me onto his lap. Which I didn’t resist. I was just too happy about the new addition to my hand. Especially when it looked perfect against my skin.
“When did you even get that?” I paid no mind to the conversation between my nerd and shitty hair. Well, my now fiancé. Hehe. Saying that word just sent a pleasant sensation throughout my body. I have a fiancé now. So exciting.
He was no longer the person I struggled so hard to bury my feelings for. A boy that I wanted so badly to keep safe. And when I had acknowledged my feelings for him, he became the man I couldn’t live without.
I snuggled into my idiot’s hold, before wrapping an arm around his shoulders. “No take backs.”
The way he smiled at me was like a breath of fresh air. “Of course, Kacchan.”
But now I was curious on his answer to shitty hair’s question. “But when did you get this?”
The way his face turned red as he buried his face in my chest was cute. “I may have gotten the same night that we went to rescue you.”
“Uh?” Now that was unexpected. “You’re telling me you had this since last year?” He nodded his head.
“I was kind of planning to… um…” He then held me tighter. Which I couldn’t help snicker. “It was originally supposed to be how I confessed to you.”
