It has been a few months since the 28th World Martial Arts Tournament and the Son house has been lively ever since. Goku promised to train Uub after their fight which lead to the young boy living with the Son family for a bit. Although he struggled at first, as most people learning about Ki for the first time, Uub was coming along nicely.
“Okay, let’s have a sparring match to see how far you’ve come.” Goku announced. Uub has sparred with Goku before but recently it was always against Goten. “Goten,” Goku grinned to his youngest son, “You can use Ki blasts this match!”
Uub felt a nervous aura shroud him as both Goku and Goten had this spark in their eye. “G-Goku, are you sure I can handle this?” Uub pitched to his mentor.
“Of course! Now,” Goku jumped back, “BEGIN!”
Uub quickly threw his arms up in a defensive cross formation. Goten chuckled as dashed towards his opponent with a blue orb of ki in his right hand. Uub braced himself as Goten became an Afterimage rushing through him. “Ah!” The young boy cried out as Goten was above him now.
Goten tossed the Ki blast at Uub, but Uub had thrown his hands up to stop the blast from hitting him. Goku smiled as his student was doing beyond what his son was expecting. “This is why we get up early every morning for training!” Goku laughed as Uub went in the offensive against Goten. The teen Saiyan was blocking every punch and kick, but he knew his father was right about the slacking off.
“I-its not that I don’t want to,” Goten was beginning to lose balance against Uub’s frenzy of attacks, “I was doing raids with Marron last night!”
“Huh? So that’s what you guys call it…” Goku scratched his chin, “Well okay, but don’t tell your mother about it.”
“THAT’S NOT WHAT I MEANT!” Goten yelled at Goku giving Uub his opening.
Uub threw everything he had into his punch right into Goten’s stomach. He followed up with a low sweeping kick but Goten was able to pogo over it on one foot. Uub let out a yell and a forceful Kiai Wave all around. Goku called the point as Goten landed on his butt grumbling.
“I-I won?” Uub looked both happy and confused as this was the first round he ever won against Goten.
“No!” Goten protested, “You cheated!” He pointed his finger on Goku’s nose accusatory. “We are going again!”
“Is that what you tell Marron?”
Goten’s face burned bright red as Goku burst into a fit of laughter. Uub chuckled nervously as this was not the first time…
Goten got into a sparring stance against Goku, which almost mirrored Goten’s exactly. Uub began to take a step back before stepping on a twig starting the match.
Goten and Goku both vanished towards each other just slightly above the ground. When they came back in view for Uub they were both in their Super Saiyan forms. Their aura lashed around each other and began to kick up the wind around the area.
“Y-You said those things on purpose so I would fight you, didn’t you?” Goten snarled at his father who just chuckled in response. Ever since the two of them started training for the 28th World Tournament Goku has started poking his opponents in irritating ways. Goten was so easy when he started to stare and crush on girls. Uub was a little harder during their match, but Goku got exactly what he wanted.
Goten kicked off of Goku before he dropped an axe kick down onto Goku’s shoulder. Goku flared his aura to absorb the blow preparing an attack of his own. “Kame…” Goten flew back as fast as he could as a blue orb was forming in Goku’s right hand.
On the sideline Uub sat in bewilderment as Goku wasn’t holding back against his own son. Goten didn’t need Goku to hold back though. He can handle his own, “DIE DIE MISSILE BARRAGE!” Goten shouted to the skies as Goku dispersed his Kamehameha, ready to dodge Goten’s rain of Ki blasts. Before the older Super Saiyan knew it, Goten was charging towards him at a blinding speed. Instead of the barrage of Ki blasts, Goten used Goku’s knowledge of his moves against the older Super Saiyan.
“Oh, trying to catch me off guard are we?” Goku dipped in and out of Goten’s punches as he swatted away the kicks. The teen Super Saiyan smirked at Goku as he backflipped into the air putting his hands in position for a Kamehameha. Goku formed the same stance but still a little unsure as the last time Goten threw him for a loop.
“Kamehameha!” Goten shouted and fired a quick beam of blue ki at his father. Goku retaliated with his own Kamehameha but went Super Saiyan 2 for an extra kick, completely blasting Goten away.
“Point for Grandpa!” A high pitched voiced echoed. Pan came flying down from the direction of the Son House. She was dressed up pretty fancy for just a visit Goten though to himself as he brushed the dirt off of his clothes. “Grandpa! Grandma said you and Uncle have get ready. We’re already going to be late.”
“Late? For what-“ Goten questioned before Goku cut him off.
“BULMA’S GONNA KILL ME!”
“Oh right, Bulma’s party.” Both father and son began to run towards the house as Pan laughed in utter delight. Uub tried to follow behind them, but he was still too slow to keep up.
Chi-Chi was at the front door with an annoyed scowl on her face as Gohan and Videl were behind her chuckling to themselves. “What’s so funny, honey?” Videl stiffened, still, at Chi-Chi’s words as Gohan fumbled on his like a student getting caught talking.
“U-Uh… just wondering why you trusted Goten to speed things along with Dad and Uub, is all.” Gohan shifted the blame to his younger brother as fast as he could. Like a good older brother should. Or at least that’s what he told himself.
“I know, I know.” Chi-Chi sighed to herself. Goten was just like his father in so many ways. He was the care freest teen she’s ever seen since Goku.
Just as soon as Gohan mentioned him, Goten was running towards the house. “I got him!” The smile along the younger Son brother was both innocent with a devious twist. Goten was covered in dirt and rips littered his clothes as he swiftly squeezed by everyone. Not far behind was Goku and Uub trying to catch a flying Pan as if she were a butterfly.
“Goku! Stop playing around or we’ll be late!”
“Aw, c’mon Chi-Chi. How could you tell a grandfather not to play with his innocent granddaughter!” Goku clenched his heart, “the horror…”
Chi-Chi rolled her eyes and caught Pan, “We’re leaving now! No lollygagging!” Gohan and Videl followed Chi-Chi and Pan as they entered the hover car. Goku nodded and ushered Uub towards the bathroom.
“Goku...?”
“Don’t worry,” Goku saw Uub was worried that they were left behind, “We’ll use Instant Transmission!”
“O-Okay…”
“I’ll use Instant Transmission. Goten still getting the basics down.”
“Okay!”

On a far off planet, beyond any mortal star, something was about to awaken. A tall, slender man in purple robes began to walk into a cave on this weirdly shaped planet. He had pale blue skin and the purest of white hair and a blue halo around his neck. “Ah, it is about time for-“
Off in the distance a glowing hourglass in a light purple sphere explodes. A groggy groan can be heard, “Five more minutes…”
The white haired man chuckled, “You always say that, My Lord.” Then another hourglass explodes leading to another bigger explosion. “Maybe a serenade will help you wake up?” The white haired man began to warm up his vocal chords before a bipedal, purple cat man jump up. He was wearing a cotton nightgown and a matching nightcap.
“I’m up, I’m up.”
“So you are Lord Beerus .”

In the Land of the Kais there was a pressure that covered Kabito Kai and Old Kai. “Oh no…”
“Mhmm,” Old Kai confirmed as he flipped through his magazine, “We cannot let them find out about one another. Or about our previous situation.” He was referring to being freed from the Z Sword during the Majin Buu incident.
“I-Is that a problem?!?!” Kabito Kai went into a full panic.
“Well it doesn’t seem like it, He did wake up after all.”
“R-Right, I’ll contact the North Kai right away.” Kabito Kai took a seat a few yards away from Old Kai’s flipping. He was trying to keep calm but there was a chance that Goku was training on King Kai’s planet. A moment or two passed before Kabito Kai was able to connect to King Kai.
A nasally voice echoed in Kabito Kai’s head, “ Uh, Hello? ”
“Hello, North Kai, it is the Supreme Kai. I think we have a problem…”

The Party at Capsule Corp was in full swing. There was the biggest bounce house, and the pool was a glittery pink. Pan was off playing with Bulma and Vegeta’s daughter, Bulla, while Chi-Chi, Gohan, and Videl were catching up with the adults. “So, Goku’s got Goten pulling the same tricks now, huh?” Bulma laughed as Chi-Chi rolled her eyes.
“Yeah, I had a little hope once the same hair faded so would the similarities, but Goten’s just as-“
“Flow-y,” Krillin chimed in.
“Boneheaded,” 18 corrected.
“They’re just a little goofy, plus it sends Pan over the moon when they play with her.” Videl corrected.
“T-They didn’t actually take her to the moon right? You can tell- You have to tell me if she went to the moon.” Gohan was starting to get flustered.
“And Gohan’s cut off.” Goten replied with a devilish grin on his face. Everyone froze like statues. “What? Its not smart to bag on someone when they aren’t there. Oh is that a hot dog stand?”
Chi-Chi rubbed her forehead with a sigh, “He’s doing it on purpose. He always does this.” Goten’s laugh could be heard from a few feet away.
Goku joined everyone as Goten walked off ready to party. Goten showed up in a somewhat nice outfit, while Goku was in his iconic orange gi. “So who’s ready to party? Bulma which birthday is this?”
“Five, Kakarot.” Vegeta’s bite aimed right at Goku.
“Yikes, using the Dragon Balls a little too much if you ask me…”
“ITS BULLA’S BIRTHDAY!” Bulma snapped while Krillin and Yamcha laughed alongside Goku. This was the most fun the Z Fighters have had in a long time. So that means…
“ G-Goku, are you there? ”
“Huh? King Kai?” Everyone stopped laughing as they listened for King Kai.
“ U-Uh, Yes. Right away. Goku, I think there is someone you should meet. Even though it is a huge mistake… ” the last part King Kai tried to whisper, “ Oh u-uh because he’s at a family function is all. He would love to. Goku, please hurry and get here!”
Goku agreed and getting ready to use his Instant Transmission when Pan landed in front of him, “Grandpa where are you going?”
“Oh, no where fun sweetie. Just gotta run a errand and I’ll be back in a few!”
“Okay! You promise to play in the bouncy house?”
“Of course!” And with that Goku Instant Transmission’d his way to King Kai.
