Work Text:
Julius hadn't been sure what to think when Arikado had called him two weeks after going radio silent for "work" to tell him that the previous Belmonts had been, well, not resurrected, but brought to the current time. It hadn't been as overwhelming as he thought. It felt like meeting cousins for the first time at a family reunion. Although having two Somas running around was going to give him an aneurysm. He loves the kid, but two of him running off to fight dark cults at the slightest hint of conflict? Maybe he could retire early.
But even they weren't the ones he was having the most trouble with.
"Have me or Jonathan done something to make you uncomfortable, Mr. Julius?"
Aunt Charlotte shouldn't be calling him Mr anything. But Aunt Charlotte and Uncle Jonathan were gone. They had both died while he had amnesia, and these were teenagers. Younger than Soma.
"No Au- Miss Aulin. You've done nothing wrong. And just call me Julius. Please."
He couldn't tell her how he was expecting to see a dead woman in her place. She was just a child. The burden of his memories with their other selves would be his alone.
"If you say so."
She turned around and walked away.
