Work Text:
Dallon was staring straight ahead, unmoving, like if he tried hard enough he’d simply melt into the floor.
“Did you two really think you’d get away with it? That we’d just leave you be? You belong to us, love”
He could hear addy preparing her supplies, normally she wasn’t this hands on, but he supposed these weren’t normal circumstances
“Nothing to say for yourself?”
Dallon breathed, conjuring up his last remaining courage “I’m not afraid of you” he whispered
Addy laughed, lifting his chin so he would look at her “that’s cute, A. Did your boyfriend tell you to say that?” She let go of him, going to pick up a scalpel from the tray
Dallon shut his eyes, trying desperately to grip onto something other than his reality
“You think you're so tough now? Your own apartment, playing house wife for B? I have news for you” searing pain shot through him as she stabbed the blade into his thigh, dragging it further with each word “you. Are. Nothing.”
It was supposed to be a quick errand, sunshine was out of cat food so Dallon was just going to pick it up well Ryan was working. It was fine.
But it was now 9:30 and Dallon was nowhere to be found.
Ryan was pacing in the kitchen, calling and re-calling dallon’s phone to no avail. He tried his best not to assume the worst, but god..what else could he assume?
He collapsed onto the couch, sighing as sunshine pounced onto his lap. He pet the cats head, it purred and nuzzled his hand.
“I’ll find him, don’t you worry” he said to the cat. Why were his hands shaking?
And then Ryan’s phone buzzed.
A text from Dallon.
The relief that flooded Ryan was unmatched. He wasn’t dead, he hadn’t been kidnapped, he was probably just fine. Why was Ryan over reacting? People are late sometimes, that’s fine. Why was he-
Dallon had sent him a video.
He blinked. A video? What the fuck was that for? Just tell me where you are, Jesus Christ-
“Give me a smile”
Ryan closed the video In maybe a couple seconds, still a couple seconds too long. He felt the contents of his stomach creeping up his throat.
The video was of Dallon, heavy leather restraints holding him in place to a chair. He was crying and- and there was blood. Fuck, there was too much blood. Fuck. Fuck. He dry heaved, covering his mouth as tears formed in his eyes. Fuck. Sunshine jumped off his lap, meowing at him in confusion.
His phone buzzed again. And again. And again.
Video after video from dallon’s number.
Ryan had no other options. Either he found out or he didn’t.
He re opened the video.
“Give me a smile” addy says from off screen. The camera zooms in to dallon’s face. His hair is wet with sweat and stuck to his forehead, there is blood dribbling from his mouth.
“Come on” she says, turning his face so he’s forced to face the screen “smile for the camera”
Dallon clearly tries to smile but it is nearly indistinguishable from a pained grimace. It takes Ryan a moment to realize what has happened.
Dallon is missing three of his teeth.
Addy has pulled dallons teeth out.
Ryan threw up.
