Some facts about Edward:
He went skiing with is wife (then girlfriend) in 2019. He had a hole in one of his socks, and his left small toe fell off from hypothermia. He never went to a doctor about it, and not many people know about him only having 9 toes.
The child that he wants to adopt is the kid of his wife's late sister. The reason the legal fees cost so much is because back in 2017, Charlotte's sister moved to Canada. The child, Ash, is 9, and has a great relationship with the couple. He is currently being housed in a children's home, along with 10 other kids.
His favourite Pokémon is Noivern, and his wife's favourite is Jolteon. When he goes to the island, he is wearing a Jolteon shirt.
He has some survival skills, being a pretty good tree climber and knowing CPR. The CPR will probably not come into any use on the island, but we will just have to wait and see...
Edward means wealthy or rich. Ironically, he is entering this competition for more money because he is not wealthy or rich. Charlotte means 'Free man', Edward will soon not be a free man.
Edward and Charlotte have nicknames for each other: Ed and Char
The reasoning behind Edward's last name, Castsneis (Chestnut in Latin) , is as an homage to a childhood cat of mine, Oscar. His original name was Chester, that sounds similar to chestnut :)
Edward's name was not picked for it's meaning, instead being from a nickname of mine, King Edward the 69th.
Edward would not normally be this overworked. The reason for the recent increase in work is due to 3 teachers being fired from an 'incident', two of witch were maths teachers. Edward was one of the only maths teachers left at the school, and now has to mark most of the work. He is also head of maths + deputy head. On top of this, his pay hasn't increased enough to get him therapy and/or a vacation for all this stress.
Physical description:
Edward is rather short for a man, at 5'4. He has a small frame and a tired, yet hopeful look in his eyes. He has short, dirty blond hair, that is longer at the back, and green eyes.
Before going to the island, he is wearing a black hoodie, dark grey sweatpants and grey trainers. On arrival to the island, he wears a dark grey shirt, with a Jolteon on the front. He also has dark green zip-off trousers and a brown waterproof winter jacket.
He is also wearing black Velcro hiking boots. He doesn't want to be running away from some sort of forest beast, only to trip on his laces. Also, he sucks at tying them, but mostly the forest beast thing.
At all times, he is wearing a silver wedding ring.
Backstory:
Edward's backstory is not fully know, only that his family disowned him after an argument. He later took Charlotte's last name, because of that. He now lives in Bristol with his wife.
