Work Text:
I'll be very quiet about this. I'll be very calm. I don't think you understand why this is important, but they can hear us. They can really hear us.
You see, these walls are not soundproof. Then again, neither is concrete. You might think that they are, but they aren't. Yes, sure, they would reflect the waves, but with the intensity of our scream? Even they have their own limits.
So here's what we gonna do:
1. We will muffle our mouths with a washcloth. It will be a little wet, and we will probably feel disgusted, but it's better than anything. We need to be very quiet. We need to be very calm.
2. We will use our fingers to count. From three to one, not the other way around, okay? Three, two, one. And when we count to one, we will turn our heads away because if we aren't in sync and one of us sees the result of our own grand plan, then there's a huge chance that the one who saw will back away. Or they will scream. And we can't afford that. We need to be very quiet. We need to be very calm.
3. We will not back away. No, we won't. If one of us is not on board with this plan, we are allowed to back away in a maximum of one hour before we do it. 'Cause I don't want to be the only one jumping and have a panic-stricken face as the last thing I saw before I fall. Because then I will scream. And we can't afford that. We need to be very quiet. We need to be very calm.
4. I guess no plan is perfect. Yeah, maybe this one is bound to fail, and that's why we're using these washcloths. I don't know, this probably won't mute any sound, and neither will these walls. They're not soundproof. Then again, neither is concrete. So, this plan isn't fail-proof. They will hear us. They will really hear us. One of us, actually. Someone will die at the end of this. Not two, just one. Yeah. Only one of us will die at the end of this. And it's going to be the surviving person's responsibility to not scream. Bite that cloth until you can feel your tongue bleed, I'll do the same. Just don't scream. Don't scream. Don't scream when you see someone's brain and their blood on these walls and floors. Don't scream when the body goes limp and falls to the ground. Don't scream when you finally realize that they're dead and this is a bad idea and that you're going to be the person to tell their parents about what happened. 'What's with the gun? Why are you crying? Where's my son? Is that his blood on your shirt? What do you mean he's dead? What do you mean he kills himself?'
[Don't scream. Please don't. These walls are not soundproof. And they can hear us. They can {really} hear us.]
Remember, we will be very quiet about this. We will be very calm. I hope you understand why this is important, because they can hear us. They can hear the gunshot and probably one of our scream. They can hear us.
They can really hear us.
