Miwa stares down at the brunette while holding back a sigh. He's known Kai to take naps outside, especially during their youth. It seems to be a bad habit that carried over even now.
He finds Kai sleeping on a bench in his usual spot. In the park, hidden away from where most people would linger during the day. It has the perfect amount of shade from the tree growing behind it, protecting him from the sun. It's nice to see him so relaxed and at peace.
But how the hell can he stand sleeping in the cold and act as if it were a bright and sunny day?!
"You have an unnatural ability to sleep anywhere, don't you?" Miwa sighs out, not expecting an answer. He doesn't get one.
The weather was beginning to turn colder and colder as the days went by. Summer had come to pass, autumn had taken over and was beginning to turn to winter. Soon, snow would begin to fall and it would definitely be too cold for Kai to come out for these naps of his. Miwa thinks he would find a way to do so. Whether it be to annoy him or just a habit he couldn't break, the blonde couldn't tell.
Miwa puts his hands on his hips while staring down at Kai. He should wake him up, and get him to nap at their home rather than outside in the cold. The wind brushes past them and he shivers, yet Kai doesn't even react.
"Come on, Kaaaiiii," he whines. Miwa reaches down and pokes his cheek. That causes a reaction. Kai shifts and opens his eyes, only to glare at the blonde who dared to wake him. It's not unexpected as it's not the first time Miwa has woken him up from a nap or in general. "It's freezing out here! Can't you go home and take a nap there?"
Kai stares at him as if his eyes were adjusting to the world. He watches as Miwa shivers while standing beside him. After a moment that makes it seem like he's about to go back to sleep, he sits up. A relieved smile rests on Miwa's face. It falters when he notices that Kai only sits up to take off his jacket and holds it out for him to take.
"Huh?" Confusion settles onto the blonde's face as he takes the jacket. He can see the look in his eyes and understands what to do. Miwa slides the jacket on and a comforting warmth quickly overtakes him. He relaxes inside of his jacket. Their size isn't that different, but it always feels soothing to wear something of his. It has his warmth, his scent. It's almost like he can feel Kai around him at this very moment.
While he's distracted by the gift, Kai reaches out to take his hand and promptly pulls him to sit down on the bench. Without a word, Kai lies back down, now using Miwa's lap as a pillow.
"Kai!" Miwa hisses, but that does nothing to deter him from moving. In fact, he seems to get more comfortable and Miwa swears he sees some wicked grin on him before he drifts back off to sleep. Another sigh escapes the blonde. Staying here a little longer wouldn't hurt.
Maybe this is why he never got over his bad habit of sleeping outside.
