Work Text:
Stanley opened his eyes, he viewed his monitor ontop of his table inside of office 427, his office 427. He stood up, curious about the lack of voice.
"Oh Stanley! You're quicker booted up than I thought, well but that doesn't matter" the narrator spoke throu his microphone while it also picked up the sound of papers getting moved around. Oh well speaking of the devil.
"Stanley, you wouldn't mind if I were to leave for maybe 5 minutes to make myself a tea, would you?" It was interesting about how much trust the narrator has in him, for even considering leaving him unsupervised in the parabl-.
"Oh and I'd take my tablet with me to keep an eye on you, but I couldn't communicate with you cuz my mic is in my office" he quickly added. Stanley took back what he thought about, the narrator treats him like a toddler who needs constant supervision.
But Stanley agreed, due to past incidents, that narrator should go and get his tea. "Are you sure Stanley? Are you sure that you can be a few minutes without my voice to tell you to not burn the parable down?" Their voice held a small smile as he spoke.
Yes yes Stanley was sure,(due to safety measurements), that narrator should most defently get his tea. "Alright, I'll be right back, don't make me loose my trust in you dear boy" and with that the microphone got turned of with a little click.
The Narrator stood up while opening the cameras on their tablet before going off into the little kitchen. Stanley kept his gaze at the ceiling for a few minutes, did they really called him-? Anyway he decided to wander around, let's see what he can do before the entity returns.
Now about 10 minutes after narrator left, Stanley was laying on the carpet floor of the employee lounge. And the narrator still hasn't returned to his office. He probably was waiting besides the kettle, cursing at the water to boil faster. Yes Stanley could metaphorically see it infront of his eyes that the older would do that.
Stanley was bored, yet knew the narrator could see him. His grin grew sharp as he starred at a spot on the ceiling he thought the camera was.
"Narrator I'd advise you to start talking again soon, I shouldn't be left alone with my thoughts for that long and you know how fast i spiral" he signed at the spot.
After about 15 seconds the microphone came back to life with a soft click. The narrators breathing was heavy as if he just sprinted to his office, did he do that? "Yess Stanley, I did, and I'm back, I wouldn't let that happen" they spoke between huffs.
Well Stanley is defenetly glad that they're back, shown by the smile on his face. "Mhm, now shall we continue the sto-"narrator stopped for a moment as if his microphone just died on him.".... I forgot my tea in the kitchen" he said to himself.
