Chapter Text
It’s been 7 years since they met.
Six years since they got together, and got the approval of each of their children to get married a year later.
Five since they moved in and happily opened a burger restaurant together naming it ‘ Geto’s Burgers ’, near an amusement park that was on a pier in New Jersey. It took a little while before they could agree on the restaurant name. It was an interesting process they would say…
[ ‘ 𝘚.𝘎.’𝘴 𝘉𝘶𝘳𝘨𝘦𝘳𝘴…𝘸𝘩𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵?’
’ 𝘚𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘢𝘭𝘴 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘢𝘮𝘦, 𝘪𝘵’𝘴 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘢 𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘵𝘭𝘦 𝘧𝘶𝘯 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘺 𝘰𝘯 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘥𝘴, 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵? 𝘜𝘯𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘴, 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘰𝘱𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯. W𝘩𝘪𝘤𝘩 𝘸𝘢𝘴 ‘𝘎𝘰-𝘎𝘦𝘵(𝘰)𝘢 𝘉𝘶𝘳𝘨𝘦𝘳…’
‘ 𝘖𝘩 𝘮𝘺 G𝘰𝘥… 𝘕𝘰.’ ]
Also five years since their restaurant's rat infestation that had their family spend three days at Suguru’s friend’s house, Haibara Yu. Suguru now thinks was a mistake because Satoru’s outlandish personality somehow works with Haibara’s positivity and supportiveness.
4 years since their kids started to do martial arts just like how their parents did. It wasn’t for every one of their kids of course. For Nanako, she only made it to the yellow belt before making it halfway to the orange belt and deciding taekwondo wasn’t for her.
In their basement, Satoru and Suguru made a section where the remaining kids would spar against each other, or where Megumi’s friends would come to spar with him since Yuji, Nobara, and Megumi did both kickboxing and martial arts together.
3 years since Suguru broke a hole in the roof trying to scare Satoru for a stupid Halloween bet he and Shoko made because they were both drinking at a party in their house while their kids were gone. Somehow, no one knew about the one unsupported part on their roof on top of their room, and going up there to whisper scary stuff through a vent for 15 bucks probably wasn’t a good idea.
No matter what the situation, good or bad, big or small, the Go-Geto family has been through a lot in the last seven years. In all honesty, it has made them all closer and made them love each other no matter what.
So why does the thought of Satoru being upset about Geto forgetting Valentine’s Day make him so nervous?
{ 7:30 a.m.}
{Friday Morning}
{Gojo-Geto Apartment - On top of the restaurant}
Geto could wake up to this everyday… emphasis on the ‘could’ part.
Look, it’s not like he doesn’t like his job, or the fact that he thinks that kids wake up way too early to go to school for like eight hours…It’s just that he thinks that kids wake up way too early and sometimes he wonders why he didn’t choose a job where he sleeps in on weekdays.
‘𝘞𝘦𝘭𝘭…𝘢𝘵 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘐 𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘦𝘦𝘬𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘴 𝘰𝘧𝘧 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦𝘴, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘰𝘥𝘢𝘺’𝘴 𝘧𝘳𝘪𝘥𝘢𝘺.’ He gave himself a small smirk. He sighs, feeling his body getting ready for the day. ‘𝘈𝘭𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵, 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘣𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘬𝘧𝘢𝘴𝘵.’
Geto flipped his arm over from where he was curled on his side of the bed, to try and wake Satoru. Unfortunately, what he felt was the empty bed where his husband would be. That made Geto wake up a bit.
“Whut the- “ His voice came out groggy and a bit slow, and it seemed to fit the confusion in his voice after seeing their bedroom door was slightly ajar.
It wasn’t like it was out of the ordinary for Satoru to wake up before Geto. It was just rare, and different than their unspoken morning routine. “Huh, I wonder what’s going on.”
Geto got up from his bed, and put on loose long sleeve shirt as well as black sweatpants. “I really need some new sweatpants, and return these ones.” he mumbled as he pulled the string on his sweats to make them tighter on his waist. “They’re a bit loose.”
He chuckled a quick thought that suddenly passed his mind. “If anything I get matching one’s for Satoru, and I. Though I think he might find it more endearing than I would.” That statement made him smile a bit, until he combed his fingers through his hair only to get caught halfway on a bunch of tangled pieces of hair.
Geto walked over to their bedroom vanity mirror, to look at his hair as he brushed it to at least get the tangles out. He sat down, brushed, thought about how the day was going to be planned out.
“ 𝘴𝘪𝘨𝘩 Alright, today I need to help Satoru with breakfast. Since he’s already up I’m assuming that’s what he’s doing.” As well as the fact he is practically drooling from the smell of bacon and ham coming from the kitchen.
“I need to go to the basement to grab the extra meat in the freezer for it to thaw out during the day, do meal prep, open the resturant…” Regular routine things that Geto going. “I can’t wait.” He said as he set the brush down, as wiped his face from any eye crust.
Geto left the bedroom which immediately entered the living room with their big T.V., the big dark blue couch with a mysterious stain that no one is able to figure out who it was left by.
A round living room table placed in the middle, and the kids backpacks with their done homework all ready for them to go, placed on top of the window seats on the front side of their apartment.
Geto made his around the left corner after leaving their room to make his way down the hallway past the kitchen to check up on his kids first. Gently knocking before entering Nanako and Mimiko’s shared room. Slowly opening the door he gently whispered, “Girls…are you up?”
He first noticed their room light was on before hearing a voice somewhere say, “Yup! Both of us, Dad.” Mimiko came to meet him at the door to give him a thumbs up. “Alright,” He answered as gave her a quick kiss on her forehead, “thanks hun.”
Next was the next pair of kids on the other side of the hallway, Megumi and Tsumiki. “How about you, Megumi? You pulling through on a Friday so far?”
He gently opened opened the door to see him turned away from him, looking down at something. He probably didn’t hear him, or was just lost in thought considering that he didn’t reply or react to Geto at all. Tsumiki was probably getting changed in her room, because the light was shining under the closed door.
The sight of Megumi made him a little uneasy, so he tried again. This time with a cough.
“ 𝘈𝘩𝘦𝘮 Uh, Megs…? Did you hear me?”
That made Megumi jump a bit quickly, shoving something in his pj pocket before facing Geto. Trying to remain calm, all the while sort of failing, because his wide eyes and not-so jittery hands aren’t hidden well enough for Suguru not to notice.
“Uh- um- I’m sorry. Wha- what’d you say papa?” Megumi smiles awkwardly before Suguru can try to question him. He just looks at him curiously, and chuckles, before shoving that curiosity away to repeat his question.
“ I said… um… I was just trying to make sure you and your sister were up. Your dad’s making breakfast, by the way. Something special could be happening today, 𝘩𝘢𝘩𝘢!” Geto laughed lightly.
It was Megumi’s turn to give Suguru a confusing look. He didn’t understand why, and it just made him give Suguru an amused smile that made seem like he was joking. His reply didn’t clear it up either, because it came out sarcastic.
“Har har. Maybe Papa, who knows.” Giving Suguru a playful shrug.
“Uh…”
“Yup, we’re up alright, now politely, would you mind letting us get changed for today. I know Dad is gonna overboard today again.”
“Uh- yeah…wait wha-“
“ See you out there, Pops!” He said before going around his bed to give Suguru a quick hug, before gently closing the door on him. Leaving him more confused than he should be this morning. “What?” He quietly said before heading back down the hallway, and entering the kitchen.
Despite all that, he was able to dismiss it with the pleasant sight placed upon him. His husband, His one and only, His Satoru. Standing in their somewhat medium sized kitchen, was Satoru flipping a pancake in one pan, while switching to another pan right next to it to flip pieces of bacon.
He does it effortlessly, all the while gently swaying his hips to the radio that was on low volume. ‘Elegant, classical music as Satoru would put it. Would bring him back to his orchestral roots.’ He wore a short sleeve oversized white shirt, and black leggings that fit his legs just right.
‘𝘖𝘩 𝘮𝘺 𝘨𝘰𝘥, 𝘪𝘵’𝘴 𝘵𝘰𝘰 𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘭𝘺 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵, 𝘏𝘢𝘩𝘢𝘩𝘢!’ Geto smirked before quickly wiping that thought away.
Satoru made his way to the fridge to pull out some strawberries and whipped cream, still not noticing Geto for some reason. ‘Strawberries and whipped cream? Now, what the hell is the special occasion?’ Geto, quietly, made his way behind Satoru who was gently setting the last pieces of bacon on different plates.
Wrapping his arms around his waist made Satoru tense a bit, before relaxing into the touch. “Suguru…, “ He gently whispered before Geto kissed his cheek, “I thought you would at least give me a warning to let me know you woke up.”
Suguru simply hummed in response. “Where’s the fun in that?”
As Satoru walked over to the sink to place the pans in there, Geto didn’t let go for a second. It’s not like he wanted to either. It made Satoru chuckle as he washed his hands.
“Are you going to hold me while I finish making breakfast for everyone, or are you going to help me out here, hun?” He asked. Suguru could just hear the smirk and snarkiness that soothed out of his tone.
“And?” Suguru gave him a quick tight squeeze as he placed gentle and slow neck kisses on him that made Satoru gasp lightly.
“What if I wanna spectate your breakfast making abilities? You’re not gonna stop me, are you?”
“No. Definitely not.”
Satoru’s hand just hovered over the heart shaped [‘heart shaped?’] pancakes with the whipped cream can in his hand, because his ability to focus was going haywire with his husband wrapped around him like this. Suguru continued. “What’s wrong, hun?” The next series of movements were all just simple teases that Suguru knew would get Satoru going.
He left one hand wrapped around his waist as his other hand came up to scratch to back of neck and hair. His shoulder kisses might’ve been the thing to have him physically sigh in relief. He was making his Satoru feel good on a Friday morning, and that made him feel good.
Before Satoru could lose himself again, he quickly opened the strawberry package, put the whipped cream on the family’s plates, and placed the strawberries on top, in lightning speed in seemed to Suguru. “Wow! You’re usually never that fast during rush hour.” Suguru quietly stated.
“Wonder why.” Satoru’s sarcastic tone didn’t fail to make him chuckle.
After that, he turned around to pull Suguru with him next to the counter next to the sink as Satoru sat on top of it. Suguru just watched him in awe, as he stood in between his legs still admiring his husband. Hands placed on each of his thighs, with Satoru’s arms gently placed around his neck.
Everything about Satoru made him admire him. The way he sat tall, the fact he could drag him anywhere and not question it, the way the kitchen light still shined on him perfectly no matter how early it was to even turn it on. His eyes being perfect, and his hair feeling super soft.
The same thing could be said about Suguru for Satoru.
Right now though, Suguru was more vocal about it.
“Wow. You are beautiful, eye candy…” He said sweetly.
That made him slightly blush, before meeting Suguru halfway in a passionate kiss. The type of kiss that made him gently comb through Suguru’s long dark hair. The type where they would break for a second to breathe until they connect once more.
They both love it when they’re like this. Passionate, and letting each other know that they love each other, and aren’t afraid to openly show the other person.
It gets to the point where Suguru’s hands slowly rub up and down his thighs. He feels him shiver a bit from underneath. Suguru trails his kisses from his lips to the outline of jaw, down to his neck and Addams apple. The vibrations from Suguru’s hum on his neck, make him have to bite his hand. It came with the fear of having the kids accidentally hear their morning shenanigans.
He stays on his neck, kissing gently and slow. His hands now pulling his waist towards him to close the small gap between them. Satoru gasps at the sudden movement, until he’s lightly laughing at their playfulness He’s about to keep going down to his collar bone until something Satoru says makes him stop completely, and make him go wide eyed instead.
”Mmm. Suguru…”
Kiss “Yes, Honey?” Kiss
“This is a wonderful Valentine’s Day morning… the best one… 𝘩𝘢𝘩𝘢!”
“….”
“Hmm? Sugu-“
“It’s what?” He asks, trying to make sure he wasn’t just silently freaking out on accident, as he stood up better to make eye contact with him.
“It’s Valentines Day…” Satoru replied slowly looking just as confused.
“…Ah…Right. Ha. Haha! Geto laughed nervously. ‘ 𝘞𝘏𝘈𝘛?!?’

{Valentines Day Morning!?!}
{Gojo-Geto Apartment - On top of the restaurant}
Notes:
For clarification here’s how the family dynamic works (and how I would, personally, perceive their personalities.) as well as the kids ages :
Tsumiki-14
Personality- A good role model, is kind of shy at first, but a very open friend later. She will tell you what you’re doing wrong, and would probably apologize about it later. Even after you realize she was right. Protective over family. Evenly Street/book smart. Developed the Geto’s smile.
Nanako-13
Personality- Very Flamboyant, somewhat like Gojo. Into trends, and loves sweets. Like Tsu’, she will tell you what you’re doing is wrong why, but she’ll watch you admit you’re wrong before she even thinks about apologizing. More street smart / book smart. Developed Gojo’s unhinged personality. Protective over family.
Mimiko-13
Pers- More resevered like Megumi. Her playful side is more quiet and you really got to get to know her before she shows it. She’s good at coming up with neat/scary comeback pranks. Protective over family. Kind of scary when ticked off. More book smart than street smart. Has the Geto Smile.
Megumi-12
Pers- Stubborn and reserved. Doesn’t necessarily push himself as much as Gojo wants him to. Protective over his family. He developed Gojo unhinged personality. Evenly Street/book smart. A little bit awkward and cold at first. Somewhat violent.I’m going to be changing certain things here and there since this is only the first chapter, and first fic. Please feel free to let me know, if there are mistakes, or if things don’t make sense! :D
Chapter 2: Just Try, Okay?
Notes:
This one is a bit longer than the first chapter. Thank you to the people who read this, left kudos, comments, and for helping me correct some things. Not proof read, so there might be some major grammar mistakes :’D. Light warning- Since this is the first fic, I might edit chapters to write a clear storyline. Ages might change, and so will years. But once this fic is completed, I am certain to have a clear foundation.
[ ‘𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘥’ ] - Flashback convo.
Please enjoy, and make sure to drink water. If you read this, I hope you have a good day/night!

{5 Weeks Ago}
{ Friday Lunch Rush}
{ Inside the Kitchen of Geto’s Burgers}
“Satoru, Here! Two more orders for the back left table, right?”
“Uh-huh,” Satoru replied before grabbing them and heading over there. He spots Megumi and Mimiko through the open window over the ‘toppings’ table. They were simply sitting on the counter table stools looking bored as they drew in their sketchbooks. ‘Oh, perfect. I mean they could be doing homework right now, but…’
“Megumi. Mimiko.” They looked up from their books and gave him their attention.
“Can you guys ask anyone if they need refills? Since you kids are off school for some reason, and are doing nothing, I’m going to need you to help out with the lunch rush, okay?” He flipped two patties over on top of the stove, and set one of the finished ones on a bun.
They quickly side-eyed each other, before looking a little displeased at the idea. “Oh,” Mimiko started as she slowly made eye contact with their dad, giving him a neutral expression. “Yeah about that, turns out Megumi and I have a severe case of ‘not now-itis’, and our wrists aren’t feeling too good right now.”
She gave him a sarcastic tone to end on, to which Megumi picked up on cue.“Yeah, pops, but if anything we can grab Tsu, and Nana from outside to do it. We’ll just be here, being productive by silently helping them side stools.”
Megumi pointed to the restaurants front window where they were out trying to pull customers with Nanako’s persuasive selling abilities with a plate of samples.
[ ‘ You persuade them by telling people that our restaurant is better than the one across from us!’
‘Is that really what you're telling people out there? ’
‘Yes and no. I also tell them if they don't eat here they'll die with the regret of never eating the best burger around.’
‘ ...Hm. Ok then. Whatever works.’ ]
While Tsumiki passed out menus and samples to those who were trying to avoid Nanako’s pestering, but ultimately ended up running into her.
‘Looks like they’re not letting anyone get away today, haha.’ Geto thought.
The pair looked back at Geto who just stared at them with an unamused smile. “Hm. Well if you don’t help us out, I’ll put you two in the burger costume your dad made, make you pass out flyers outside the restaurant while your sisters stay inside to do it.” He chuckled as he noticed their eyes widened in terror.
As they closed up their sketchbooks and placed them behind the counter, Satoru entered the kitchen to help plate the burger toppings with him. It was quiet between them, but Geto noticed now Satoru glancing at him like he waiting for him to give him his full attention.
“Are you okay, Satoru? You keep looking at me like you want me to notice you or something. Like I don’t already…” A slight tease in his tone.
“Oh! Uh…yeah, I just wanted to give you a quick reminder for something.” Satoru nervously laughed as he placed the finished burger and fries on the counter for one of the kids to grab. “Megs! Mimi! Can one of you give this to the man at table three?!”
Megumi looked around as he gently reached for the plate. “The sad, lonely one scrolling on his phone by himself?” The said man looked up, only to see the three of them staring back at him.
“Uh. Y-yes Megumi. Just go!” Satoru gave Megumi a stern look that made him hurry over there. Suguru quickly looked down at the stove as he silently stifled his laughter. “Oh, you shush. Anyways, I need to remind you about something real quick.”
“Hehe wha- what is it Satoru?” His light smile still on his face.
“Valentine's Day is five weeks.”
Suguru’s spatula stayed still on a patty as he looked at Satoru with slight confusion. The smile never left, just faltered a bit. They held eye contact for a minute, before going back to the flow of work.
“As well as Tsumiki’s dental cleaning, so she’s going to have to be picked up from school that day.” He continued while setting the meal on the window counter.
“Ok. W-why are you telling me so soon? It’s still January, ya know?”
“I know,” Satoru replied as he took off the apron and gloves he put on earlier, “ I just want you to remember for future reference. Okay, Sugu?” Satoru kissed him quickly on the cheek before heading towards the kitchen exit.
Suguru quickly stopped him by grabbing his hand. “Alright, but it’s not like I’m going to forget, okay?” That made Satoru look at their hands and simply brought them to his lips to kiss his partner’s wrist. He gave Suguru a smile in return.
“Hm…Ok. I’ll go check on the girls outside!” The last thing he said before he left the kitchen.
‘That was confusing…Why is he telling me so early? He must have something special he wants to do I guess… I’ll have to figure out what.’
{2 Weeks Ago}
{ Sunday Night }
{ The Basement Under Geto’s Burgers }
He heard his cheerful voice calling to him from the top of the stairs that came down to the basement. “Suguru!”
“Yes, Satoru. I’m down here.” Currently, Suguru is grinding the burger meat together. All of it went into a rectangular pan that he was going to put into the fridge to use for tomorrow.
Satoru came downstairs to check up on his process, and saw that he was almost finished. “Are you about to head up? It’s about to be ten. If anything, you can just just finish the rest in the morning.”
“𝘚𝘪𝘨𝘩, Alright then. Just let me clean up and put it away for now. Do you mind grabbing the plastic wrap, so I can cover it?” He used his glove to the rest of the meat before flattening it down enough to where it did go over the edge. He felt Satoru come up from behind him to place the plastic cover on top.
“Don’t forget that Valentine’s Day is in two weeks. As well as the dental cleaning for Tsu.” Satoru randomly blurted. It made both of them look at each other quickly. ‘Oh right, that.’ Satoru looked at him, waiting for a reply, and realizing it later, Suguru lightly laughing might’ve been something he shouldn’t have done.
“ Heh heh, oh right! I know Satoru you told me last time. Why do you keep reminding me so early? I mean this is only the second time you did, but still.” He ended up mumbling the last part, even though what he said was all playfulness.
Satoru looked unenthusiastic about his husband’s attempt at jokes though. He leaned across the small table while keeping in mind not to push the meat too far into Suguru, or off the edge.
“ Well hun,” the fact that he was dragging out his words carefully with some subtle aggression meant he was about to be deadly serious, “you’re not particularly the best at remembering dates. Last year you forgot it.”
Satoru’s raised his eyebrows as he looked to Suguru for an answer. To which he gave him a neutral facial expression in return. “Oh, well, sorry about-“
“You also forgot Yuji’s birthday party that same year, and since you were supposed to drop Megumi off that day he missed it. Remember how Nanami gave ME an earful….?” Satoru cut him off completely. He was not going to give Suguru a chance to speak.
Suguru started feeling guilty and displeased with himself. “Oh c’mon that-“
“As well as the twins parent to teacher conference, Tsumiki’s choir performance, MY birthday, which was a first, and even YOUR birthday. Seriously Suguru, how do you FORGET your OWN birthday?!” Satoru had his arms crossed now, and tried keeping his composure by looking down.
He was getting a bit irritated and Suguru hadn’t realized how bad remembering dates. He didn’t have an answer or an excuse. He contemplated on answering because he was getting old despite only being 28, but he dropped it since he didn’t know if it was the right time for that.
He didn’t know what to say. He loves his family, but he gets busy, and things slip from his mind. Though, there’s probably no excuse if he’s constantly being about it. Plus it’s not fair for him. He realized he wasn’t looking at him anymore, and hasn’t said
Satoru looked a little displeased. “Call me petty, or whatever, but you know how I am with holidays, and events. I just want both of us to have a good time, and I want the kids to be happy too. I already thought about buying decorations for the restaurant and everything, but unless you don’t want to-”
It was Suguru’s turn to cut him off. Not with words, but quick kiss on his lips. He slowly looked up at him, as he leaned over table to reach him, even though he was trying to avoid eye contact. He started choosing his words carefully.
“I’m sorry I’m terrible at remembering dates, Satoru.”
Satoru gave him an unenthusiastic hum. “You should be. I’m getting worried you’re getting old too early, geezer.”
Suguru mumbled a quick “oh my god” before continuing his point. “ Like I said I’m sorry I can never remember dates, baby, I am. I guess it’s just something I just grew up being bad at. I promise to try to at least remember, and I’ll make it one you never forget it.”
He placed his hands on satoru’s cheek. “So you don’t need to remind me anymore. I’ll make to write it down somewhere. Go ahead and buy the decorations. I bet the restaurant will look great.”
Suguru’s confident tone brought a small hopeful smile to him. He quickly made his around the table one last time to kissed his cheek as he wrapped arms around his neck.
“Oh Sugu, listen to me. I know you’re terrible at remembering things like that, and honestly I don’t how you’re surviving.” He said adding a sly smile at the end.
“Mm. Wow.”
“Oh, you know I’m right.”
“Yup, j-just continue.”
“Okay, but that’s why you married me right? We remind each other of things, and take care of each other no matter how many things we forget, and how many times we do. Even if it’s kind of concerning. How come I never noticed you were always so forgetful?”
Suguru scoffed at that. Despite that teasing little ending, he couldn’t help to he was right. “Okay, let me go hun. I need to put this meat in the walk-in.” He gave him one final kiss before grabbing the meat to put away.
Behind him, he heard their kids calling for them to come up, and stop acting gross. To which Satoru replied back and laughed. He quickly shut the walk-in after setting the meat in, quickly threw his gloves away, and started heading up behind his husband.
Satoru stopped halfway up to face him. To Suguru’s surprise he quickly stopped before bumping up into him. He noticed how Satoru gently went down a step to place a hand on his shoulder. The height difference made Suguru have to look up at Satoru’s cute thinking face.
“All I’m asking is for you to at least try to remember, okay? Help put a little effort. You don’t have to go too overboard like me.” Satoru’s face still looking unsure about the unseeable future. Suguru simply hugged him. He was able to hear his heart beating gently against him.
“I swear…I will.”
Satoru’s arms laid slightly limp against his neck before gently squeezing a back. “Ok. Thanks, hun.”
“What are y’all doing, damn it?! I need one of y’all to check my essay, and Megumi needs papa to check the costume for Yuji’s play he promised to help make.”
Without letting go of each other, they noticed Nanako at the top of the stairs in the yellow and pink button up pj’s that still are able fit her. In her hand was, what they could assume was her mentioned essay. “Can y’all let go of each other already? We need Papa Sato to help us already so we can head to bed.” Her sentence ended with a loud yawn, she didn’t care too much to cover.
“Alright missy, I’m heading up.” This time, he gave Suguru a final long kiss, before smiling at him and heading up. “Jeez, can’t we five minutes to ourselves? Watch your tongue, by the way. ” He said giving her a slight stern look.
“Okay, I will. Y’all already get free time whenever you have the restaurant to yourselves, while we’re at school.” Nanako giving him a tired displeased look, as he laughed and placed a kiss on her forehead. The sight made Suguru feel warm. He liked it when his kids and husband bonded together.
“I have to make a mental note or write it down. I have to learn how to remember things better.” He walked up into kitchen to see a pad of sticky note on top of the kitchen window where the bell was. “Oh! Perfect!”
He quickly grabbed a pen right next to it, and wrote down something quick for him to remember. “Valentines Day…in…2…weeks!” He said aloud as he wrote it done. “From there, I’ll just cross out the weeks that pass by, and add days. During that time, I’ll have to buy everyone a gift as well. Gotta make everyone feel included.”
He carefully placed it on the side of the kitchen window where he could see it. ‘Oh crap, Tsumiki’s dental appointment. Let me make another one of that too.’ After that, he quickly made sure the essential stuff was off, before walking out the front to lock the door.
“Ok, Suguru… whatever you do, don’t mess this up for your family. Especially Satoru. I’m going to keep it simple, and try to remember Valentines Day…as well as Tsumiki’s dental appointment. I’m sorry honey.”
From above he noticed the living room light turning on, and some shadows moving around. “Alright time to head to bed. Here we go.” He was going to do it. He was going to make this special for them. Make it one of the best Valentine’s Day for them.
{ 4 Days Later }
{ Major Thursday Lunch Rush }
{ Inside the Kitchen of Geto’s Burgers }
Suguru heavily sighed as he just noticed the amount of people who just flowed in. One booth table and maybe three counter seats were open. “ Oh my god…” He quietly mumbled. He placed his hands the sides of the topping station, and as he tried to focus himself.
‘Ok, just regain focus, and try not to focus on the piling orders, and loud chatter. It’s just a bigger lunch rush than normal. Nothing we haven’t dealt with before.’ He thought that last thought looking at Satoru, who was laughing and making small talk with the customers as he refilled their drinks.
He smiled at the sight as sun light hit him just right. It made him look like he was glowing, like his laughter. He took a quick look at the sticky notes that Satoru helped taped. The dentist appointment was put correctly while the Valentine’s Day one was on the edge of falling down. He was just about to fix it until voice cut through his thoughts. A friendly one, thankfully.
“Hey Geto,” Haibara called out over the chatter, “do you mind if I can get another refill real quick? As well as another side of fries, please.” He awkwardly chuckled before signaling with his cup. A questioning look on his face.
“ 𝘚𝘪𝘨𝘩, Yup. Of course, Haibara!” He grabbed the towel in front of him on top of the kitchen window to wipe his hands before placing back down. “Not like I’m gonna refuse food for a friend/customer…” He laughed as he headed over there, hearing Haibara’s response.
Unfortunately, when he placed the towel back down it had knocked down the Valentine’s Day sticky note to fall between the wall and the stove. Suguru never realized it, because of how big the Thursday and Friday lunch rush became. Satoru never reminded him after their conversation, either. So it became somewhat lost in Suguru’s mind.
Which brings us to his Valentines Day dilemma.
Notes:
The third chapter might take a little longer, because I have school, and club practice! Thank you to those who are being patient! :D. (Here’s a quick character dynamic thing, I pictured them as.)
Geto- Bob Belcher (Imagine him talking to his food as he cooks)
Gojo- Linda Belcher ( I know Gojo cares as much for Geto, just like how Linda cares for Bob. I also he’s as much a tease as she is sometimes.)
Haibara- Teddy (Just thought him as that one friend who likes to be around his friends w/o having an actual reason too. Not as weird as him though.)
Shoko- Mort (Cause they both work with dead people, are close to their friends, but don’t really show up for majority of episodes.)
Ijichi- Mr.Frond (I don’t know if I should’ve put him with Mr.Frond, but at I thought of it as funny)
Yuji- I like to think yuji would be very interactive towards other kids, and would have the same dynamic with Megumi as Louise and Rudy’s friendship. Yet I feel like would have interact with Todo, the way Jimmy Jr. acts with Zeke if that makes sense.
Let know if there are any concerns, mistakes, or in case things don’t make sense!
Chapter 3: What are we going to do?
Notes:
‼️WHOO! This one took forever! Sorry about that :p. Here’s where the story gets a little complicated with multiple story lines following Suguru, Megumi, and even Haibara.
If this one has any grammar mistakes, I’m going to go back an edit anyways. I’m in class taking a test and I hope the teacher doesn’t steal my phone!

Chapter Text
{ 7:38 a.m.}
{ Valentine’s Day Morning! }
{ Inside the Kitchen of the Go-Geto Apartment }
Suguru tried to keep his composure as natural as his body could.
‘Crap! Are you kidding me?! I had all these warnings. I thought I wrote down. I DID WRITE IT DOWN! WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED?! OH MY GOD, HE’S GOING TO FEEL SO LET DOWN!’
Satoru must have said something that Suguru didn’t hear while he was thinking because he suddenly looked down at his lap sort of avoiding his eyes.
He hummed as he got off the counter to set the plates on the table. Leaving him alone next to the sink.
Suguru just watched carefully. His face wincing and tried to think of saying something fast. Satoru wasn’t saying anything as he made his way around the kitchen. Everything about this made him feel uneasy.
That fact that Satoru was smirking as if he had figured it all out. Suguru, who thought he looked vain for being quiet, tried to say something as Satoru started to head towards him to wash his hands a final time.
Finally, Satoru broke the silence in a gravelly voice despite them being the only two in the kitchen. Saying the one thing he wished he hadn’t started with.
“So you forgot, didn’t you?”
Suguru took notice of the way he did a small gulp as his widened eyes slightly. “Hun, I…I.” He knew whatever he was going to say, wouldn’t make a difference.
Satoru hadn’t known what to say either. It wasn’t like he was furious, or too distraught. He guesses he just felt sullen to try and hear him out. He had expected this anyway.
‘I mean I had let him know weeks ahead.’ Satoru thought. ‘Maybe because we both got busy and… Oh, forget it! There should be no excuse.’
“What?” His head made a sharp turn as he looked at him directly. “What are you going to say this time?”
Suguru’s breath hitched. The hands that were together close to his chest had moved to the comb through the ends of his hair.
He thought, and thought, and thought.
Then it hit him.
“ I…didn’t forget!”
That made Satoru’s head jerk back a bit in surprise, and honestly, it would’ve made him too. “What?” His face made an expression that he would’ve laughed at, had the situation been any different.
“Yup,” Suguru nervously laughed. “I- I was just messing with you, ya’ know? Pretend that I forget, make you fall for it, and then laugh at your… gullibility.” He hoped the last part didn’t sound too much like a question, because he was just as confused with his wording.
Satoru’s cheeks got slightly red with embarrassment.
‘He was faking it? He seemed so scared when I asked him though. GULLIBLE?! WHAT THE HELL DOES HE MEAN GULLIBLE?’ His thoughts started to get jumbled together until Suguru laughed out again.
“You should’ve seen your face.” Suguru’s sudden high-pitched voice was quickly covered by his mouth as he toppled over. Trying to make it seem believable he was just laughing.
Satoru couldn't believe his eyes.
Even so, his doubt slowly withered away. Soon enough laughs erupted from both of them. "Are you serious? You’re cruel for that, ya know?”
“Cruel for what?” They both looked to find both Megumi and Nanako coming into the kitchen.
Megumi in dark blue cargo shorts and a white shirt with a black and white dog design on it. Weird looking like white sneakers with blue sharks on the side, that went along with his athletic ankle socks.
His signature ‘sea urchin’ hair, as Satoru teased him about, was still spiky despite the lack of hair gel. Hair poking out at different angles to the point where it almost looked like a wig.
‘It honestly should be just considered bed-head but who cares?’ Geto thought. Next to him stood his sister, Nanako.
She was wearing a black overall and a thin red and white striped shirt. Her hair was up in her usual bun. Two thick, long strands down the sides of her face both twirled near the end and ended around shoulder length.
To top it off, she wore some kind of Valentine's Day headband with two bright pink hearts that were glued to the top of red fuzz-covered springs, and red heart-shaped glasses on the edge of her nose.
Geto looked back at Megumi to see if he was Valentine's Day dressed, or had a single ounce of red on him. Nothing.
He was holding a headband just like hers, though. She kind of gave him a quick up-and-down look like she was expecting him to put it on already. He quickly rolled his eyes as he tried to ignore her.
"What are you two laughing about so early in the morning?” They both sat down at their round dinner table, getting ready to eat their breakfast.
"Your father started to trick me into thinking he forgot Valentine's Day again!” He hollered, still laughing.
“𝘏𝘦𝘩... Yup, got 'chu real good didn't I?” Suguru tried to keep the nerves in his voice to a minimum. Thought it’d be best to cover it up with laughter. When he looked at his kids, his laughter was quickly shut down. They both looked like they were analyzing him. Then, as if simultaneously, their eyes widened they figured it out.
Megumi quietly chuckled. "So you remembered Valentine's Day this year? Can't wait to see what you've got planned today, pops.” He slowly cut the pancake and kept an intense eye contact with him.
‘This kid… Megumi, you are too smart sometimes. You will not get me caught.’ Geto thought as he made a small grunt.
“Hm. Well, good. ‘Cause I have something special that took all week long. If you couldn’t tell, then I did my job correctly because it’s a surprise! Only the best surprise for my one, and only, husband!” He bragged as he physically felt a single eye twitch.
“Oh,” Satoru spoke out, “speaking of gifts, I made all of you guys cards. Nothing big, or anything!” Satoru gave Suguru a quick on the cheek as he headed towards their room, before stopping to look at the kids.
“Oh! If your sisters come out… never mind. I’ll talk to them.” With that, he was gone.
There was a sudden tense feeling. Nanako spoke first after swallowing her food, “ So…Dad…what’s this ‘special’ surprise you planned for him, huh?” Megumi laughed silently, making sure Satoru didn’t hear him on the other side.
Geto walked over to his chair to lean over and whisper to them. “Alright, you two, so what if you’ve figured it out? You cannot say anything to your father, or else-“
“ ‘Or else’ what pops?” Megumi sharply snapped at him. “I’m pretty sure this situation is just going to blow up in your face. Just like how Mimiko’s project did last week in the back alley.”
Their eyes went nervously wide as Nanako jumped in, “There was…so much graham cracker dust, and soda, everywhere. I think there might be some in my hair still.” They all shivered at the memory of it.
“No, it won’t. I need to get the chance to leave the restaurant…” Geto started thinking as the kids continued to eat their breakfast.
Then he remembered something, and suddenly he was feeling hopeful.
“Wait a minute. Tsumiki’s dentist appointment!” He murmured.
“Yeah…what of it?” Nanako asked.
“Since I need to go pick up Tsumiki for her teeth cleaning appointment, that gives me time to go out and buy something for your dad!”
“What about Tsumiki? Are you going to just drag her along, letting her miss a day of school?”
‘𝘏𝘮𝘮…’ He thought. Looking down at his chair as he pieced together a plan.
“Well, if anything, I can get her to come along and pick out things that I didn’t see, that he might like! Of course, that way I have an excuse to get out of the house, and she’ll have a doctor’s note excusing her for the day. Plus since I said it was a surprise, so he won’t get as suspicious if I take too long!”
Once he looked back up at them, he noticed how impressed they were. Which made him feel proud of himself a little bit. They looked at each other and nodded.
Before Megumi could get a word in, Satoru came in looking like he was about to burst into a million happy pieces.
He walked around as he handed them their cards. “I made each, and every one of your cards. I stayed up late trying to make yours, Suguru!” He gave him his, as he kept his voice soft-spoken. “Since I couldn’t find enough time to do it in private, I simply waited till you fell asleep to do it…I hope you love it.”
Geto felt his lip slightly quiver after seeing the card. It was a nice gesture, and though the card looked a little wonky, he knew tried his best. He honestly didn’t know how to take that.
At first, he thought karma was already hitting him. Another thought was mostly how he was disappointed with himself. ‘Damn it, I couldn’t even think to do that… Goodness, there’s no use crying over spilled milk. I just gotta-.’
“Uh, Dad?” Megumi broke the sad train of thought and caught both of their attention.
“Yes, Megumi?” Gojo swiftly walked over behind him as he continued reading the light blue card with pink hearts, and so much glitter it could choke a kid just by simply breathing. “Why does this even mean? When are you going to have time to do it?” Megumi looked up at him as Satoru smirked.
“Well, what does it say, Megs? All the cards say the same thing, except for your dad’s…𝘏𝘦𝘩𝘦𝘦.” He simply said.
“It says 100 hundred free kisses to my favorite son… Happy Valentine's Day, Megumi.” Satoru rushed over as he hugged him and quickly kissed his forehead a bunch of times. Placing kisses all over his face.
Geto and Nanako started laughing as they saw how much Megumi was struggling to let go. His arms weren’t able to push him off because of how tight Satoru was hugging him. “𝘈𝘩! Dad! Let go, you’re not letting me breathe.”
Megumi practically begged as Satoru gave him one final kiss on the top of his head. “Happy Valentine’s Day, ‘gumi! I love you, so much.” He happily said, dragging the ‘o’ sound in the word ‘so’.
“I know, but don’t gotta suffocate me to show me! I think I might get a bruise because of it.” He said rubbing a spot on his face that he thought his dad kissed too hard.
“Why are you going to get a bruise?”
Tsumiki and Mimiko finally came walking in, seemingly to be on a theme just like Nanako by wearing headbands and glasses. Though Mimiko wore an outfit that was opposite to Nanako’s. A pink overall shorts, a dark pink belt, and a black band t-shirt with white knit leg warmers that she and Tsumiki made.
Speaking of Tsumiki, she wore a white lantern sleeve blouse that hung off her shoulders, with pink flowers along the edge of the top part. Geto noticed how she was wearing similar waist-high pants to what he wore in high school. Except the color was a sort of light green, with tied string in front of it.
They all looked cute, being on a theme for the holiday. The only person who wasn’t dressed was just Megumi. To which everyone simultaneously noticed. Mimiko was the first one to ask. “Megumi, why are you wearing blue clothes? And why aren’t you wearing your headband?”
Megumi’s eyes shifted from the headband on the table, back to his sister, and quietly sighed. “I’m sorry, ‘Miki. I can’t not allow me to go outside and-“
“Megumi,” everyone’s head snapped to hear her tone change slightly,” if you don’t put on that headband, so help me you are repaying me by doing my garbage shifts at the restaurant AND home for at least two weeks. I did not spend $15 on six headbands that we are probably never going to use again.”
“ Well, I might find a way to use-“ Satoru started before immediately being cut off by Mimiko’s serious look towards him. The tense stare between the two lasted maybe a minute until Megumi’s shoulders slowly dropped as he grabbed it and placed it on his head.
“There you go guys…happy?” Megumi mumbled, looking at everyone to see who was going to break out laughing first. It took everything in Satoru’s soul not to laugh. “Yes, 𝘱𝘧𝘧𝘵..very much so,” Tsumiki said.
Megumi rolled his eyes as he started to cut his pancakes again. “Alright, now if you don’t mind I need to finish my breakfast, and get away from all of you as soon as possible.”
Suguru glanced at the clock on the wall and saw that it was now 7:54 a.m. “Megumi’s right guys. Go ahead and finish your breakfast so you can be on your way to school.” He finally sat down in his normal seat, getting ready to eat.
“ I hope you kids love it,” Satoru said after calming down from holding back laughter. “ Especially you, Sugu…” He whispered as he bent down to kiss him slowly.
Suguru was slightly caught off guard, tensing in surprise. He quickly leaned forward to kiss back. He felt Satoru smile against his lips, and he even laughed when noticed how his hand had moved to his shoulder to keep him from falling. Suguru’s hand had moved to his hair to gently pull at his undercut while nipping his bottom lip. In return, made him gasp.
Satoru gently pushed off, as he playfully smacked his shoulder. “Suguru…” Satoru bashfully smiled in surprise, while his husband simply smirked. “What, I can’t kiss my husband?” He teased which made Satoru stutter.
“You guys are disgusting! Can y’all do that when we’re away from you guys or… just not here?” They looked to see Megumi staring horrifically at them while everyone else was stifling their laughter while looking away from them. Suguru’s face went warm when realized they had a much unneeded audience.
“Alright…just finish your breakfast, guys.”

{ The Kid’s Leave for School! }
{ 3 Minutes Away from the Restaurant and 8 Minutes Away from the School }
“Ya’ know, ‘gumi…If you didn’t want to wear the headband, you should’ve just said so. You didn’t have to make ‘Miki go through all the trouble to buy one for you.” Nanako tried to lightly flick the back of his head, but Megumi saw it coming and dodged it by walking off.
“I tried, ok?! I said I was not wearing anything Valentine’s Day-related before Yu- Itadori, and Kugisaki made fun of me. I am trying to prevent that.” He reached into his pocket and felt the envelope he was looking at earlier in the morning.
‘ 𝘖𝘩 𝘮𝘺 𝘨𝘰𝘥…,’ he thought as he sighed, ‘ 𝘐 𝘸𝘪𝘴𝘩𝘦𝘥 𝘐 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘨𝘰𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘩𝘰𝘸. 𝘐 𝘥𝘰𝘯’𝘵 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘪𝘧 𝘐 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘥𝘰 𝘪𝘵…’
“Yeah,” Tsumiki said, “well looks like you’re stuck with it now.” She tried to flatten his hair, even though it immediately popped back up. “ I’m sure Yuji won’t make fun of you throughout the whole day…don’t know about Nobara though.” She silently sighed once she realized that nothing in his life was going to keep his hair down.
Nanako lazily placed an arm around him despite being 1, maybe 2, inches shorter. It made him stumble a bit because of how she had to slightly pull down.
“But those are your friends, and friends treat each other like family. We’re family, and we would like you to-“
“If I put this on, Todo’s going to run his mouth all day and tell everyone, including Itadori, that I’m a loser or something. I legit cannot deal with that today!”
He quickly turned around to stop them from walking as he snapped.
They all knew how Todo was, and how he treated Megumi. They tried to keep him away from Megumi whenever they got the chance. Even if he was with Yuji, he became the biggest jerk known to man once he looked at Megumi. All because he couldn’t answer that dumb question “correctly”, which led them to physically fight during recess.
The mere thought of it almost made him crumple up the envelope, still pocket, as he slightly squeezed it. He quickly took his hand out of his pockets as Tsumiki lightly rubbed his hair. He walked slightly faster, before reaching a crosswalk with them. Nanako let out a big sigh when she turned behind her to talk to Mimiko. “Oh, yeah…What do you think, Mimi?”
She was simply following them and listening to their morning conversations. While she played with her backpack sting on the side, she looked up and took in what was happening.
Her eyes landed on Megumi, and what he could assume, was that she was doing that siblings do sometimes…they analyze what their siblings are feeling without pestering too much.
When they stopped, Mimiko looked like she made a decision. “Look Megumi, we aren’t going to make you wear the headband if you think you’re going to be bullied.” They start walking again once the light is green.
“We all just wanted to do something fun for everyone to do. If anything, you could’ve just worn red, and not the headband itself. I don’t care too much… I do know everyone else does though. Up to you…”
Once they reached the other side, he realized there was no snap in her voice. He looked at them to see what their reactions were, and to no luck, he felt guilt bubble up in his stomach. He threw his head back as he harshly sighed.
“Damn, you, and your… sister guilt tactics. Ok, I’ll leave it on for at least 1st period. I don’t see Todo ‘til a while anyways…”
The girls lightly laughed, as Tsumiki hugged him from behind. “Thanks, Megumi. I- we all appreciate it.” He rolled his eyes as he went to hug back. He tried to hide his smile as he let go.
As they turned the corner, now 4 minutes away from the school, He reached back into his pocket and felt….nothing?
‘What the- ‘
“Oh Megumi, you dropped…is this for Yuji?” Megumi’s head snapped behind to see Tsumiki pick up the envelope. On the back of it was the name ‘Yuji’ written in Sharpie, as well as flower and heart stickers all over it. ‘Oh. NO!’
“H-hey! Give it back, Tsu’!” He yelled out before he felt four pairs of arms hold him back. “Nana- Mimiko! What are y’all doing?!” He squeezed his fist tight, Using as much force as he could, while trying to pull away from them.
“Whoa, you’re not going anywhere! Hurry ‘Miki, what does it say?!” Nanak o struggled to keep him in place as he tried to shove them off. He started to get more anxious once she opened the letter, and started to read as quickly as she could.
Megumi never hit family, especially his sisters. It was wrong and immoral. Though, his morals are about change if they don’t let go in the next five seconds. He’s genuinely considering having them yell at him, and telling Dad, than let them read what he wrote in that letter.
“Tsumiki! Don’t you dar-“
“Aw, Megumi! This is so cute, when did you have time to write this? Are you going to give it to him during class?!” She was beaming as if she hadn’t just committed a sibling crime every sibling has at least experienced it once.
An invasion of privacy.
He dramatically fell to the ground in defeat and heard the twins run over to try to read it too.
“I hate Valentine's Day.”
{ 8:17 a.m. }
{ Valentine’s Day Morning at School }
{ Outside Wagstaff School }
Soon enough, they all reached the crosswalk with other kids right across the school. The kids gave the group weird stares when they saw Megumi surrounded by his sisters trying to ask him questions with no regard to how loud they were whispering.
“When did you-?“
“I didn’t.” He responded. His sweaty hands slightly tightened on the straps of his backpack. His eyes wandered quickly from person to person, trying to see who might be listening. If looks could kill, all three of them would be dead.
“What do you like about-?”
“Nothing!”
“Is it because-“
“No, and stop talking! I see Kugisaki near the gate.”
Nobara was talking to Maki Zenin. Someone the whole family was acquainted with. More specifically, Megumi and Tsumiki had a better relationship than the rest of the Zenin family. Nobara caught sight of them and waved as they made their way towards them.
“Hey guys! Happy Valentine's Day.” Megumi finally took notice of how her outfit seemed to match the girls. She wore a white shirt two cherry’s sewn on the front and an oversized pink sweater. The black ripped jeans made everything else pop out.
“Whoa! I like the matching headbands!” She looked at Megumi and started to laugh. “ 𝘗𝘧𝘧𝘵, 𝘏𝘈𝘏𝘈𝘏𝘈! How’d you get Megumi to wear something like this?” Tears practically forming out of the corner of her eyes. She flicked her heart on top hard enough for it to sway back and forth. He swatted her hand away before she could even think about grabbing it, as well.
“Hey, hands off. I’m only wearing it for the first period since I don’t have to deal with Todo till then.” He said.
They all said their goodbyes as they headed toward their lockers in different hallways. Maki and the twins were all in the same grade as the other kids, while Tsumiki was over at the high school next door. Megumi and Nobara walked together since their lockers were next to each other.
She scoffed once she opened the top locker. “Who cares what Todo thinks today? There’s going to be both girls, and boys, wearing stuff like that. Mostly couples, but you get my point.”
“𝘔𝘮.” He acknowledged as he put his stuff away.
“Any besides,” she started, “I think he’s going to be too busy thinking about one idol he’s going to be seeing today at a fan meet. Plus, Itadori always finds a way to keep him away from you, when you guys get heated anyways.”
“How’d know about the thing with the fan meet?”
“Itadori told us, remember? Or were too starstruck staring at him…again?”
“I was not-!“ He quickly looked around to see if heard him yell. He felt his face heat up in embarrassment. “I do not stare at him ‘starstruck’…” He finished grabbing his notebook, as he closed his bottom locker.
As he got up, he contemplated putting the letter in Itadori’s locker now just to get it over with. ‘If I did, I’d have to go through the day all awkward and would want to avoid him till the end of the day… though if I get it over with now I’ll know if he…’
He must looked weird with his hand in his pocket and staring at the other top next to his because Nobara lightly pushed his shoulder. “ What’s on your mind, Megumi? Are you thinking about putting something in his locker as a prank?”
“Can y’all not, please?” Speak of the devil with the angelic voice.
“ I don’t need my inhaler to be filled with gum again. I mean, I don’t think I’m going to need it anymore ‘cause I feel like I’m this close to outgrowing it!”
Megumi could’ve been talking to the sun, because of how bright Itadori’s smile was. His heart started beating faster. The hand in his pocket, slightly sweating again due to how nervous he was. Once Itadori took off his baseball cap, he noticed how ruffled his pink hair was.
“Wh- Why are you wearing your jersey?” The jersey he was talking about was the red jersey with white stripes that had one side tucked into his black jeans and brown belt. A plain white t-shirt was tucked all the way, and Megumi couldn’t help but think how nice he looked.
‘𝘛𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘬𝘴 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘥𝘢𝘺…𝘑𝘦𝘴𝘶𝘴, 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵’𝘴 𝘸𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘮𝘦?! 𝘐’𝘮 𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘺 𝘋𝘢𝘥 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘩𝘦 𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘬𝘴 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘗𝘰𝘱𝘴.’ He thought.
“Why can’t I? It’s red, and if anything, I should be asking you about that headband you’re wearing. 𝘏𝘦𝘩𝘦.” He chuckled as Megumi frowned. He didn’t want someone like Itadori laughing his get-up.
“Save it. I know you’d pull something like this, too.”
Just the thought of it made him laugh. “Ok, ok. Why are y’all talking about my locker anyway? I saw you just staring at it as I walked in.” Itadori placed his arm around Megumi’s shoulder, and his eyes widened at the sudden closeness.
His hair smelled like honey, and he saw the tiny freckles across his face again. His light brown eyes gently staring at him. To Itadori, he probably looked crazy with his face all red. He knew this was going to be awkward if he didn’t answer.
“Um. No reason, man. Does everything need a reason? Why do you need to know anyways 𝘩𝘦𝘩𝘦 𝘩𝘦𝘦...” He dragged out the last chuckle while trying to breathe normally.
“Uh, because it’s my locker. The last time I saw a group of people standing here, two of my inhalers were broken. My Dad and Choso were like, super pissed.” He lamented as he recalled the memory.
“Oh right…Say Itadori, I wanted to tell you something.” He noticed how small his voice had suddenly become quiet.
“Yeah…What’s up, Megs?” Whenever he used that nickname, it always made his stomach flutter for some odd reason.
‘ 𝘐𝘵’𝘴 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘢 𝘴𝘵𝘶𝘱𝘪𝘥 𝘯𝘪𝘤𝘬𝘯𝘢𝘮𝘦, 𝘥𝘢𝘮𝘯 𝘪𝘵! 𝘚𝘵𝘰𝘱 𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘵!’ He quickly sighed. “Uh I wanted to-“
“Oh, Itadori! Maki said she wanted to talk to you for some reason. Said she wanted to give you something. Also, can you get me an apple juice from the cafeteria? I don’t think I’m going to be able to make it in time for class from there, y’know?” Nobara said leaning on her locker just waiting to walk to class already.
“𝘶𝘨𝘩…fine. Is it I’m a fast runner?” He asked.
“That, and because I know you’re a ladies man, who won’t disrespect me.” She was practically bragging as she gave them a smug smile.
“Who ever said that? You don’t know what Megumi and I say about you when you’re not here. 𝘏𝘢𝘩𝘢𝘩𝘢!” Megumi chuckled as well, as he tried thinking about it.
“Well, as long as I’m there to hear it I won’t care as much. Just remember how I’m the oldest out of the three of us in our grade. Can’t believe y’all aren’t thirteen yet.” Her snorting laughter was greatly despised by both of them.
‘𝘙𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵, 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘸𝘩𝘰’𝘴 𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘳 𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘪𝘯?’ Itadori then sighed.
“Guess I gotta go do ‘The Queen’s’ orders. You gonna head to the first period?” He smiled at him as he gave one last squeeze on his shoulders.
He thought this would be a good moment to give him the note and run away forever. As he doubled-back on that idea, he gave him a reassuring smile instead.
“Yup, go ahead. I’ll see you later.” He said.
“Alright see you later, Megumi! Happy Valentine’s Day ” He yelled at him as he left. Megumi gave him a tiny wave back as he felt his heart flutter. ‘If anything, I’ll put it in his locker during lunch when he’s eating… I wonder how Pop is dealing with the dad.”
{ 9:50 a.m. }
{ Ten minutes till Open time }
{ Inside the Restaurant }
Suguru could barely get a breath in before Satoru was shoving his tongue down his throat. He was standing in between his legs, as Suguru was seated on top of the topping section. Their hands practically tugging on each other’s hair.
Satoru copied the action Suguru did this morning and moved his hands to his thighs to gently rub them. They slowly moved up to hold his waist, as he gently massaged it with his thumbs. It made him moan against his mouth as he pulled Satoru closer with his legs.
“You feel so nice when I hold you, 𝘚𝘶𝘨𝘶~. Squirming as if you’re not used to this. It feels like we haven’t done this in years.”
His mouth moved against his throat, as he began to gently suck against the crook of his neck. Suguru chuckled at the action. He lightly tugged the back of his hair, to gently pull him off, causing him to quietly moan.
“𝘈𝘩~... 𝘚𝘶𝘨𝘶𝘳𝘶.” Suguru’s face went red as he heard Satoru let out a soft whine. They were both breathing slightly heavily, and their eyes were probably full of lust.
“Satoru,” He finally lets out, “we shouldn’t do this in the kitchen when customers are about to come in.”
He let go of his hair as Satoru gave him a slight pout. Suguru simply leaned in to kiss it off. “Especially in the kitchen. Kind of unsanitary.”
“Well, The best stuff is made in the kitchen, 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵~? Besides, ten minutes is ten minutes. A lot can happen in that period.” He said as he waggled his eyebrows at his lovers unamused face. They closed the distance again for a final kiss, before Suguru got off the the counter, not breaking away yet.
Satoru shivered when his lover's arms had moved to gently hug around his waist. He had his hands trapped on his chest, since they were so close together, and didn’t plan on letting go yet.
They don’t know who broke away first, but suddenly they were both able to breathe normally.
Suguru noticed his half-lidded eyes once he looked up at him. Even at the age, they were now, it felt like Satoru was at least two centimeters taller than him. Despite how much they argued about the slight height difference.
Satoru’s plush lips.
His face flushed.
Messy hair, and blown-out eyes.
All these things were just tempting him to keep going.
To pull back in. His button-up white shirt that he wore for the restaurant, even though Suguru told him he could just wear regular clothes, had the top two buttons popped off from earlier.
Both necks were slightly wet from the kisses they had given each other earlier. Luckily, they knew better than to leave dark marks on either of their necks in case any customer were to see it. That was an experience that they both learned a lesson from Haibara.
“Satoru… even though I want to continue this, very badly, I know you still need to decorate the rest of the place. Can you do that for me please, 𝘚𝘢𝘵𝘰~?” Suguru placed his head on his shoulder as he whispered that last part against his neck.
He felt his heartbeat slowly pick up, as Sugurus remained steady. “𝘜𝘨𝘩, O-Kay.” He groaned as he dragged out each syllable, not wanting to break away from the contact. Satoru’s mouth curved into a smile, which made him give him a questioning look.
“What?” He asked as he fixed his hair back into a bun.
“ I’m lucky I married you, specifically. I don’t think I would’ve been as compliant, if someone else ordered me around.” He laughed as he walked out to the front. Suguru even chuckled a that. “Yeah, I can’t think of anyone else who would be able to handle your childish tendencies. Shoko and Haibara could… maybe Nanami.”
“What about Utahime? She would love to hang out with me, right?” Even if the statement was sarcastic, realistically there would be no way in hell that she would.
“No way in hell.”
They started setting up the restaurant for their morning flow. Cleaning tables again, re-filling toppings, make sure there was enough ice cream and just regular, routine stuff they did during their light conversations. It didn’t take long for Satoru started to bring up Valentines Day plans, much to Suguru’s hidden displeasure. “Suguru, can you tell me what the surprise is, please? I promise to still act surprised when I see it, hun!” Satoru teased.
“𝘈𝘩- 𝘩𝘦𝘩. Can’t be considered a surprise if I tell you, will it? Why don’t, uh, you show me the decorations you bought? I bet you bought good ones this year.” Trying his best to move the conversation along, he went ahead to removing the remaining grime off the flat grill top with the grill brush.
“Well, I’m only asking because you’ve been planning this out, right?” He asked.
“Yup.”
“I mean, that whole act this morning had me a little nervous, I’m gonna lie.”
“I know, Sato.”
“It was an act, right? I won’t be furious, or anything if you tell me the truth.”
That made Suguru finally look up at him. He noticed how Satoru was trying to read his next actions, waiting patiently waiting to hear his next words.
Suguru thought about it quickly. ‘ 𝘐𝘧 𝘐 𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘩𝘪𝘮 𝘯𝘰𝘸, 𝘐 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘨𝘦𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 10-𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘶𝘵𝘦 𝘭𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘢𝘸𝘬𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘥𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴…𝘕𝘰, 𝘐 𝘨𝘰𝘵𝘵𝘢 𝘬𝘦𝘦𝘱 𝘶𝘱 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘢𝘤𝘵 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘯𝘰𝘸.’
“Of course not. Trust me, you’re going to love your surprise.” He gently swore.
“…Okay. I do trust you.”

“…and..Tada! Thanks sugar, that’s the last one I need to hang! You can- oh! Why, thank you.” Satoru grabbed the hand being offered to him as he went down the ladder.
Looking around, there were streamers all over the walls, hearts on strings that were tapped from the ceiling, and big paper hearts all over the counter where the customers would be seated. On the kitchen window, we’re cupids with arrows that were taped along the side surrounding it.
The ‘Burger of the Day’ board was littered with chalk-drawn hearts of different colors, that Satoru used when he found them in the basement. They were surrounding the burger of the day which read ‘The Thyme For Love Burger!’
[ “𝘊𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘷𝘦𝘳, 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵?” 𝘚𝘶𝘨𝘶𝘳𝘶 𝘴𝘢𝘪𝘥. 𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬.

“Everything looks good, Satoru. Well done.” He was honestly quite impressed with how fast he was able to set this up. ‘Then again he was usually like this during holidays. Always worked 10x faster, too.’
“Thank you, Sugar. Now help me put the ladder back in the base-“
“GUYS!”
Suddenly their front door was blown open wide, and they quickly turned to see a heavy-breathing, and red-faced Haibara leaning against the door frame like he was running from the cops. He was panting so hard he couldn’t get his words out, and suddenly the two of them were wondering what the hell was wrong.
“Haibara?!” Suguru rushed up to him trying to maneuver him around the ladder and onto the counter seats. Satoru had left to grab a cup of water for the sweaty Haibara.
“ What the hell happened to you, Haibara?! Was someone chasing you or something? You look like you just came from a marathon.” Suguru couldn’t figure out what happening, and Haibara’s cut-off words weren’t helping him understand the situation any better.
“Here. Jesus, Haibara you gave everyone a heart attack.” Satoru scolded as he gave him water.” Why are running in your work jeans? Did another dog try attacking you?”
As he practically chugged that thing, he looked around and answered. “Sorry guys, 𝘶𝘨𝘩, I just ran three blocks 𝘱𝘢𝘯𝘵 nonstop 𝘱𝘢𝘯𝘵 from my sister’s apartment. I’m pretty sure I left my keys there too.”
“ Oh my God. 𝘚𝘪𝘨𝘩 Was she trying to set you up with someone again?” Satoru asked.
“ YES! It was worse this time, because our Mom was there! My sister was going on and on about how ‘I do nothing, but fix everyone else’s problems, instead of my own.’ ” Haibara had used his hands for the quotation marks as he mimicked an old female voice.
“Well I mean, you kind of do. You’re a handyman who spends his time at the restaurant, Haibara.” Suguru said. “You practically live here when you’re not working out, or fixing something.”
“Okay…yeah…but that doesn’t mean I 𝘤𝘢𝘯’𝘵 go out and find myself someone to go on a date with.” Haibara placed his head on the counter as groaned.
Suguru tried to look at Satoru for some advice to give, but he was just as stumped. His funny expression wasn’t helping him think of anything.
“Who’d they try to set you up with, this time?” He asked.
“Oh, a lady named Nicole. She sounded nice, but she didn’t seem like someone I would like to spend time with. I don’t think she would’ve liked me as much either.”
Satoru finally jumped in. “ What are you talking about, Haibara? I know for a fact that anyone you meet will instantly fall for you!”
“Even you?” Haibara teased.
“What?”
“Nothing... continue.” Trying to move any awkwardness away.
“Right…anyways, I guess it just depends on what you like.”
He thought about it for a while as they went to put the ladder down stairs. Once they got back, Haibara put his phone away after he texted someone.
“ Well, I guess my preference right now is leaning towards guys. A guy who respects people, cares about little things, slightly taller, nice eyes, and blonde.” That last bit surprised the both of them.
“Blonde?” They asked.
“Yeah, I guess I’ve had a thing for blondes, even in high school.“ Haibara snorted at his youthful memories.
“Huh..okay then. Well, there you go! Now that you really know what type of person you’re looking for, you can just tell your family not to worry.” Suguru said enthusiastically, patting him on the back.
“ How am I going to find someone like that in, like…24 hours, Geto? I’m joking, but do you know how pestering my sister is?!”
“And you’ll find them, but you can’t just spawn a boyfriend that’s going please you and your family. That just takes time.”
Haibara looked at him with a small smile. Despite his concerns, he felt grateful for the pair. “Yeah, I guess. Thanks guys, and sorry for barging in. I assumed you guys would be open by the time I got here.”
“No problem.” Suguru said. “ Do you want a burger while you’re here? Did you let her know you’re okay, by the way?” He said as he made his way towards the kitchen noticing people starting to come in.
“Yup, thanks Geto! Also Gojo, can I get a soda please? The usual.”
“Anything for you, Haibara.” He teased, playfully sticking out his tongue. Haibara laughed out loud, causing customers to stare at him.
Suguru simply assured them they were just having fun. ‘Oh god, now I gotta deal a Haibara situation too. Last thing I need is his sister coming in to make a scene. On top of that I gotta go pick up Tsumiki, and convince Satoru I’m going to be out finishing his surprise…’
Geto openly sighed. It was a lot to deal with, and he’s still gotta think of something to plan out for later. Maybe head over to the mall, buy some sort of romantic things.

Notes:
The next chapter might be even longer, OML. I have never written sm-t or smexual content before, please bare with me. Next chapter will follow them all and I gotta get better at writing scene shorter. If you keep seeing updates, it’s more than likely me editing chapters.
Side note - I don’t know what year this should be taking place. Like in Bob’s Burgers, it said to be set in like the early 2000’s, while in JJK the main trio isnt born till 2002. I’ll figure it out!
Nanami is showing up next chapter as well!
