Oh yeah for starters, this is going by a set timeline that I’m just going quickly grab right here!

Sedition of IL -> Pen’s death (Yi Nuo)-> (roughly 2-3 years) Sei’s death (Yi Ling)-> (2 years) Lunae was born -> (4 years later) Joined the Artisanship Commission and found Sei’s notes -> (3 years after joining) Found out he was an High Elder and had to conceal his identity -> (3 years before leaving) Sumi was adopted by Cocolia alongside Bronya + developed inferiority complex -> (1 year later) Left Belobog to study medicine aboard the Luofu via the Alchemy Commission + found Pei’s notes -> (2 years later) Sumi got blessed by Yaoshi, Aeon of Abundance and became an eminator alongwith being marastruck + forced to write a letter to home saying they can’t return and left the Alchemy Commission -> (1 month later) Joined the Divination Commission via Fu Xuan’s request and meets Julian -> (1 year later) Sumi and Lunae met -> (1 month later) Sumi meets Bailu -> (1 week later) Lunae meets Waterin -> (2 days later) Sumi finds out that Seele is their sister-in-law -> present day

4 years later, Lunae was a very sharp young Vidyahara, always into tinkering with things he could get his hands on, whether that’s a cycrane or a jade abacus. When the time came for the succession of choosing a commission to commit to, the young one chose the Artisanship Commission.

“Now then Ling, you shall understand the importance of safety within the forge.” Master Gongzhu instructed.
“Yes sir! I will do my utmost best to make you proud!” Lunae replied.

And so Lunae worked day and night, his master to make sure to check up on him to not end up like Yingxing when he first started.

One day, Master Gongzhu brought over a box for Lunae to see, and what he found out changed his life.
“Good day Ling, I have brought something over that you would be gladly intrigued by.” Master Gongzhu said to Lunae who was very excited about what he was going to see.

“Oh what is it Master? What’s inside the box?” Lunae asked.
“Open and you’ll see.”
Enthusiastically he opened the box and found some interesting trinkets, but more importantly was a leather bound diary.. that instantly caught Lunae’s attention.
As he opened the book, he was shocked by the contents that were in it.
“Master.. is that what I think it is? There’s no way… that’s Yi Ling’s notes.. She was the apprentice to the Legendary Furnace Master Yingxing..” Lunae asked his master with awe in his eyes.
“That’s right Ling. I came across this box while cleaning up the storage closet in this very forge when I first came here. Seems that Master Yingxing and Yi Ling were here at the time.. shame both of them died when the sedition happened…” Master Gongzhu responded back as if he felt the love, joy and happiness the duo shared through their lives.
“Then I promise that I’ll become the best craftsman that I can ever possibly be! I’ll forge a path and create anew, so that everyone that died during the sedition will have their legacy for all eternity.” Lunae enthusiastically tells his master.
