When Inui arrived for training looking like he had been put through the wringer, it dragged some special data in its wake.
Five people who looked ready to kill - Kaidō, Momo, Taka, Fuji and Echizen.
Two people who looked overly concerned - Oishi and Kikumaru.
And one, just one, who guided Inui inside the clubroom without a word - closing the door right behind them for privacy - and proceeded to get the first aid kit.
While the wounds were being cleaned and dressed, there was no exchange between them. Voiced or otherwise. But then the focused look passed from the finished task to Inui's face and the data player could do naught but react with the truth.
''A small difference in opinion.''
When the look seemed to intensify, which was logically not possible, Inui caught himself squirming.
''Honestly Tezuka, really just a difference in opinion.''
It was then that the Seigaku captain took a deep breath and - as was his custom - crossed his arms before he spoke again.
''At least five people of this team are not going to let this go. And the two so far only concerned will easily be swayed to their side.''
''Really, I don't need any help. I will handle this on my own.''
''It happened on your usual way to school grounds. You are part of this team. And no one will let this go. You will have to adjust whatever plan you already started to come up with.''
''Tezuka-''
''Adjust your plan. They will not step down. And neither will I.''
''Because you do not condone violence.''
It was hypothetical but Tezuka surprised him by saying something in return.
''Because it was wrong. Though I'd prefer to settle this without further violence - on either side.''
''Maybe all of us can formulate a plan together after practice.''
''You are not practicing today. And I would be mad to assume that the rest of the team will be able to.''
''It would be the first time for you to cancel practice.''
''There's a first time for everything, even that.''
