Work Text:
If someone ever told Sakura that she would get up early on a Sunday because of someone, she would absolutely laugh and maybe even flip them off. That was ridiculous, three years ago, she would have thought it was the worst joke ever.
Right now, though, it became real.
It was 5 a.m. and she was awake, getting ready to start the day. But it wasn’t a normal day, it was Yunjin’s birthday.
And that’s why Sakura decided to get up early on a Sunday.
After finishing her make-up, she took the cake she had bought for Yunjin from the fridge and she set it on the table. The cake was simple, yet it was beautiful. A “Happy Birthday Yunjin!” was on the top, written in green icing because she knew it was the American’s favorite color. The rest of the icing was white and along with the message, there were a couple of flowers and hearts adorning the top of the cake and a single candle was placed right upon the message.
At exactly 6 a.m. Sakura left her dorm, going upstairs where Chaewon and Kazuha opened the door for her to enter. They were smiling at the sight of a very much in love Sakura with a cake for Yunjin in her hands.
“No funny business, Eunchae will be here in a few minutes” Chaewon told her mischievously.
“Shut up” Sakura set the cake on the table, and after that, she walked to Yunjin’s room.
The now redhead was sound asleep and she kind of felt bad for waking her up, so she approached Yunjin's ear and started whispering sweet nothings to her.
“Yunjin, baby, time to wake up” She said. “I know it’s your birthday, but it’s time to get up”
Yunjin opened her eyes a little bit, she smiled at the sight of Sakura next to her and closed her eyes again before grabbing the Japanese’s hand and pulling her into her bed.
“Five more minutes” Yunjin whispered, hiding her face in Sakura’s hair and kissing it.
Sakura took Yunjin’s hand, intertwining their fingers while feeling the warmth of her body next to her. It would be a lie that after five minutes, Yunjin opened her eyes, because it was more like fifteen minutes. And it was because Sakura started to pepper some soft kisses on her face.
“Happy birthday, my love” The Japanese said as she saw Yunjin’s big brown eyes, kissing her lips softly.
“I wish I could wake up like this every birthday. And every day” Yunjin said, kissing Sakura one more time before the door of the room opened and in a flash, another body was placed on the bed right between them, breaking their kiss.
“Happy birthday, Yunjin-unnie!” Eunchae said, snuggling into the older woman and completely ignoring Sakura’s body.
“Thank you, Manchae” Yunjin smiled, hugging back the maknae.
“HotCoolz and their child” Another voice echoed the room, and Yunjin, Eunchae and Sakura turned their heads just to see Chaewon and Kazuha standing at the opened door.
“I thought she was our child” Kazuha complained.
“I’m everyone’s child, it seems” Eunchae said while smiling widely. “Sorry for pushing you apart from Yunjin-unnie, Kkura-unnie”
“It’s okay, Manchae” Sakura got up from the bed. “Yunjin needs to get ready, so we must go out”
“You can stay, though” Yunjin said in a suggestive tone, thing that made Sakura blush.
“Not in front of the kid!” Chaewon expelled. “That’s it, we’re taking her. Let’s go, Eunchae, you’re a Summerz child now”
Kazuha just laughed while Eunchae got up from Yunjin’s bed, sending her a disgusted look and walked to Chaewon’s arms.
“I’ll wait for you in the living room” Sakura told Yunjin, who was still smirking.
When Yunjin walked out of her room, she found the other four members surrounding the table while a nice and beautiful cake was placed in the center of it. A huge smile adorned her face when she heard a loud “Happy birthday!” from all of them.
A pair of sunglasses, a beautiful silver necklace and earrings that matched it were just a few of her birthday gifts, along with a big and beautiful bouquet with more flowers than she could ever name.
She couldn’t stop smiling all day, her cellphone was almost exploding because of the great amount of notifications from her fans who wished her a happy birthday.
But most importantly, it was the third birthday with Sakura by her side, and that was her biggest gift. When she blew the candle, she wished she could spend more birthdays grabbing Sakura’s hand, being pampered by her and just being loved by her.
At the end of the day, when it was just Yunjin and Sakura, the redhead hugged her girlfriend, trying to focus on everything that happened that day but getting distracted at the thought of how Sakura’s body accommodated hers. It was like placing the right piece on a puzzle, it was just perfect.
“Thank you for this day” Yunjin said, her face inches apart from Sakura’s.
“It was because of the girls and the fans, too” The Japanese told her, smiling softly.
“Yeah, but it felt more perfect with you by my side” As Yunjin finished her sentence, she kissed Sakura’s lips.
It was soft, sweet and full of love. Sakura tangled her fingers in Yunjin’s orange-red locks, pushing her softly closer to her.
“I love you” Yunjin suddenly said when they pulled apart. Sakura’s heart pounded hard against her chest at Yunjin’s words.
“I love you too” Sakura whispered, placing another kiss on Yunjin’s lips. “And happy birthday again, baby”
Yunjin smiled, hugging Sakura and feeling like she was the luckiest woman on earth.
It was definitely a great birthday.
