A brief dive into Cuil Theory: Maddock edition

Summary:

Work Text:

Cuil theory is a concept rooted in surreal humor and was initially proposed as a parody of search engine relevance ranking. It measures the "strangeness" or "bizarreness" of different search engine queries or concepts. Each level of cuil represents a degree of separation from conventional reality. However, it's important to note that cuil theory isn't a formal or widely accepted concept in mainstream mathematics or philosophy.

In the context of an evil teenager named Maddock getting beat up with examples, cuil theory might be used humorously to describe increasingly absurd and disconnected scenarios. For instance:

First Cuil: Maddock gets in a fight at school.
This is a straightforward and realistic scenario.

Second Cuil: Maddock, while attempting to bully someone, gets hit by a banana peel and falls into a pile of pudding.

Here, we introduce a surreal element with the banana peel and the pudding.

Third Cuil: Maddock is transported to a parallel dimension where sentient balloons are the dominant life form, and they challenge him to a balloon animal duel.

This takes the absurdity to another level with a parallel dimension and sentient balloons.

Fourth Cuil: Maddock's evil actions summon a group of time-traveling penguins who challenge him to a dance-off to save the space-time continuum.

Now, we involve time travel and penguins in an even more bizarre scenario.

Fifth Cuil: Maddock's malevolent deeds lead to a rift in the space-time continuum, causing him to encounter alternate versions of himself from different dimensions, all of whom are also evil teenagers trying to beat him up.

Sixth Cuil: Maddock's evil intentions trigger a cosmic intervention where he is confronted by a council of intergalactic clowns who challenge him to a knock-knock joke showdown. The fate of the universe depends on his punchlines.

Seventh Cuil: Maddock's malevolence results in his transformation into a sentient marshmallow. He is then pursued by a team of vengeful marshmallow-roasting extraterrestrial chefs from a distant galaxy.

Eighth Cuil: Maddock's actions somehow lead to a surreal courtroom drama where he is put on trial by anthropomorphic concepts like Justice, Truth, and Reality, who seek to beat him up with arguments and paradoxes.

Ninth Cuil: Maddock's evil deeds take him to a realm of sentient equations, where mathematical formulas manifest as living beings. They collectively decide to square him, cube him, and integrate him into a complex equation, resulting in a mathematical beatdown.

Remember, cuil theory is purely a whimsical and humorous concept, so these scenarios become increasingly bizarre and disconnected from reality as we move up the cuil levels. It's all about stretching the boundaries of imagination and creativity.
