“I don’t know…”
Liandrin dips her head then sighs, looking up at Lanfear, pushing the seat out opposite her. It’s the last table in the café and even when she wants so badly to bolt, run from this beautiful woman staring at her she can’t say no.
“Thank you.”
Lanfear’s voice is crisp as she sits, then shifts the seat closer to Liandrin, allowing a hand to cover Liandrin’s.
“Why are you so afraid of me?”
“I…”
Liandrin shakes her head.
“It’s stupid…”
“I’d like to know Love… please?”
“I just….”
Liandrin pauses, biting her lower lip then.
“People tend to think I’m… weird.”
“Well, and what if you are?”
Lanfear asks with a smile.
“You’re not the only… weird… woman.”
A spark seems to slide over their joined hands and Liandrin’s eyes widen.
“Yeah, Honey, I’m like you…”
Lanfear murmurs.
“Now… can we please go find somewhere less… boring?”
Liandrin smiles, drains her drink and stands with Lanfear, finally following her out to the open air. Once they are safely away from the crowd Lanfear kisses her softly, leading her to their own little world, a place where magic didn’t have to hide.
