Everyone has a soulmark. Soulmarks mean that somewhere out in the world there’s someone who is meant to love you. That person has a matching soulmark. However, there are some unfortunate people who do not have a soulmark. Not having a soulmark is very rare, and is looked down upon and scorned by people who have soulmarks. I am one of those unlucky one’s. I have been scorned, beaten, mocked, all because I do not have a soulmark. People usually know when someone has a soulmark and when they do not. Because people who have a soulmark barely wear any clothes, showing off their mark for the whole world to see. People who do not have the mark wear a lot of clothes, covering almost every bit of skin. Soulmarks usually appear when people reach the age of 15-18. By the age 20 if someone doesn’t have a mark by then, they usually give up hope of ever getting one.
