Chapter Text
When the producers of the Total Drama show contacted Heather Kasuga about competing in yet another season of the reality show, she had been unsure. The first season had ended with her losing her hair all for nothing and the second season wasn’t any better. Who’s to say that the third time would be any different?
But, Heather was too headstrong to admit to being scared and agreed to return. She would just have to stay away from scissors this time.
Now, as she stood in front of the many cameras and loud and obnoxious, Chris Mcclean, she thought that she might have made a mistake.
The plane looked to be one wrong turn from breaking apart and she didn’t know how to feel about the “spontaneous musical” aspect of this season. She knew that her singing voice wasn’t awful, but hated the idea of having to come up with the songs on the spot.
And all the annoying cast mates were another thing all together. Seeing Lindsay again made her conflicted. She still blamed the girl for her dare that caused the loss of her beautiful long hair but she also has since come to regret some of the things she put the blonde through during the first season.
Thank God Beth hadn’t returned. Heather didn’t think she could handle dealing with that dork.
Heather wasn’t sure what the best game plan was for this season. They teammates that were on the first two seasons with her already knew her main tactics and her usual tricks wouldn’t really work as well.
Maybe the new people would be easier to manipulate.
The plane wasn’t in the best condition, and it honestly made Cody Anderson have a bad feeling. But after seeing what Chris did to Owen he knew better than to say anything.
The new girl had also given him an off feeling. The first thing she had done was hug him so hard that Cody thought he heard his back crack.
And the new guy felt super fake and was constantly flirting with the girls.
At least he also wasn’t as crazy as the girl.
Cody was already nervous enough with the start of this season as he had to hide something huge.
His family would be hearing about him and he hoped that he makes it further than he had the first time around. He didn’t know if he could take his fathers snide remarks if he did worse than the first season even though his elimination wasn’t even his fault.
How was Cody supposed to know that a bear would attack him?
The singing aspect didn’t bother him as much as some of the other contestants, his singing voice wasn’t the worst to listen to in his opinion.
Confessional
Heather
“New guy is so transparent and fake. I can see that from a mile away. With Beth gone and Lindsay being Lindsay, I think the best plan is to befriend that new girl.
Not that I want to be friends with crazy. She’s already getting on my nerves.”
This was so exciting! Sierra Obenauer was practically vibrating she was so excited. Seeing all these people in the flesh that she had been obsessing over for three years. It was totally amazing.
After watching the first two seasons about 20 times apiece, Sierra felt like she knew these people. And she was definitely going to use that to her advantage.
Before coming on to the show she had decided to use the fact that she was a “Uber fan” to her advantage. Everything she was saying had some fact to it but she was amping it up to a hundred.
Even the crush that she had on her Cody was over exaggerated, though not by that much.
Singing was a fun gimmick for this season, it was certainly different.
The desert was hot and dry, but she was ready.
Sierra would do what she had been dreaming of, and she would win every challenge she could.
Courtney Wagner was already frustrated. Duncan was already being difficult, not wanting to sing. He had to understand that this would be their season, they could win this together!
And then there was Gwen. Why was Duncan trying to include her in everything. She still hadn’t forgotten what had happened last season with those two becoming close.
God I wish she would shut up and put her back into it.
Climbing up this pyramid was hard enough without Gwen’s inexperience. She should just listen to her orders.
She was trying her best to not to lose it, trying to remember the exercises that her therapist had taught her. And to ignore Gwen’s grating voice and the fact that she wouldn’t listen to her.
She was trying to redeem herself from the last season. She had gotten a bit, a little tiny bit unhinged after being unfairly voted off season 1. But after getting help with her anger, and facing the fact that people didn’t like her as much after the whole thing last season, she was trying to be better.
Gwen just seemed to bring out the worse in her.
Confessional
Cody
“Girls on the rebound are the best!
They cry and then you get to buy them a pop and listen and well, they still won’t go out with you but you get to buy them a pop!”
Being dragged down that pyramid had hurt. Both physically and emotionally.
But Gwen Falenbock refused to let that show.
Duncan had lost it, and quit and she couldn’t help but feel partially responsible in his decision. Why was in that Courtney had a talent for getting under her skin like this.
She just wouldn’t stop nagging. No wonder Duncan seemed so stressed all the time if that was what he had to deal with.
It wasn’t like Gwen also didn’t want to sing! But that wouldn’t keep her from competing. She really didn’t know why Duncan felt the need to quit over it.
And not only was she stuck on a team with Courtney, but also Heather! God, she couldn’t catch a break.
At least Cody was also on the team, even though he was acting odd. The two of them had become pretty good friends since season ones whole crush nonsense but now he was acting flirty with her again. She would have to talk to him when she got the chance.
And then there was Izzy, god she wished she hadn’t been added to this team. With Courtney and Heathers bitchyness the last thing she needed was Izzy’s added crazy.
It was going to be a long season.
