We’re not… or are we?

Summary:

Noah knew he and Mirage were close. How could they not be? They saved each other life. The Autobot literally died to protect him and human in return did all he could to rebuild him. They were obviously just really close friends. So why did everyone seem to believe they were something more?

Or

Five times Noah explains he’s not in a relationship with an alien robot and one time he realizes something.

Notes:

This is just simple 5+1 I thought of, because I truly believe it would happen, considering how they talk to each other even on screen.

Chapters will be short, or at least that's the plan, but I'm going to try update this daily. I will add more tags and characters as this goes on.

Chapter 1: Chapter 1

Chapter Text

Noah knew he and Mirage were close. How could they not be? They saved each other life. The Autobot literally died to protect him and human in return did all he could to rebuild him.

So maybe their friendship seemed too deep for the outsiders. But that’s what it was. Just plain friendship. And he couldn’t wrap his mind around why some people came to different conclusions about the nature of their companionship.

1.

First one to bring it up was no other but Reek. Which to Noah wasn’t really that surprising, ‘cause he had a habit of talking about everything, which included occasional nonsense.
They were at the garage, because Noah still helped with some repairs for whoever in the neighborhood asked. Also, he actually felt like he owed his friend for getting all the parts he needed in order to fix Mirage after Peru. He was just dropping down the TV he repaired for Reek’s grandma.

“Yo, man, you alone today?” Reek asked in place of greeting, obviously meaning lack of Mirage at Noah’s side.

“Yeah, apparently. ‘Rage’s busy” he replied omitting any details. “I brought the TV though, so you’re welcome.”

“That’s my man!” Reek lighted up at the mention of the device “But, man, sorry to see the honeymoon phase is over. I thought your husband wouldn’t let you out of his sight for life.” He rambled.

Noah just gave him a flat, unimpressed look at that “Man, you’re talking nonsense. All this smoking is finally making you crazy.”

But Reek seemed to be immune to his expression. And then he said the words Noah wouldn’t think of hearing even in his weirdest dreams “Well, say all you want, my man, but I’m not the one fucking robot from space.”

“Dude, WHAT?!” he was positive he didn’t hear that right. This, or his friend was officially out of his mind.

“Why you so surprised?! It was a secret or sumthin? Because I literally hear you dirty talking him when repairing, so you could be more discreet!” Reek seemed genuinely surprised at Noah’s flustered state.

Noah never thought, he would have to explain to anybody that he’s not fucking his alien robot best friend, but here he was. “Man, we are NOT…”
