To loose your purpose

Summary:

Beez and Gabriel fall in love ;3

Work Text:

Beelzebub fidgeted with their rings anxiously.
Usually Gabriel was never late to any of their meetings, even
if they were yet to find out the purpose of this days.
But they'd always him as quite a lousy, chaotic being, so at
this point, they just rolled with it, really.
"Hello there, Dear, I’m sorry for being late!"
Bee jumped. Gabriel appeared behind them, a smile on his face.
Beelzebub looked at him with furrowed brows, mainly to hide
the fact how much the term "dear" had startled them, but also
the excitement bottling up inside them, seeing him smile like
that.

"Oh sorry, did I startle you? That was never my intention.
It's nice to see you though, Beelzebub."
Beez face softened. They let out a small giggle. "Aren't I
supposed to be the scary one? I mean I'm a demon and all, aye?
But don't worry, I spend my day to day life in hell, I can
deal your late arrival. It's nice seeing you to though, you
job stealing angel. " their grin widened and Gabriel started
giggling as well. "So, where are we going today?" Bee then
asked.
"Oh right! So, there is this "Coffee Shop" just a few streets
from here, they supposedly sell the best "coffee" in all of
Edinburgh!"
"Ohh! Fancy me!! Ever had a coffee before?"
"No, not even once!"
"Then let me tempt you!"
"I'll allow it, just this once!" Gabriel made sudden dramatic
hand gestured.
Bee smiled. Gabriel's 'weird-ish' and chaotic take on being
human one of the things that made Gabriel so interesting, even
captivating in a way, as an individual.
#
They calmly walked down the busy streets of Edinburgh, side by
side while carefully observing the people around them. Some of
them seemed sad, some exited, some irritated, some anxious.
Beelzebub smiled. Human Emotions were fascinating. The Prince
had done a lot of research in recent times, regarding those
mentioned Human Emotions, they hadn't had any particular
reason, of course not, still this had easily become one of
their favourite topics. Though really, which topics had they
read up on in this six-thousand-year-old existence? Fly's,
Plants, and yes, Angels to, but to be fair, every demon had
to, was kind of part of the job requirements. But that had
been about it. Demons usually didn't learn anything about
humans, not a bloody lot about the world, and definitely not
about their emotions. Except maybe Misery. They arrived at the
shop and though, it took a tide of struggle they ordered their
human beverages. In front of the shops were a few tables, so
they were as free as to claim one for themselves and sit
down.
Beelzebub smiled as they were watching Gabriel, who curiously
skimmed his coffee from all sides before giving it a small
taste and rambling the next ten minutes about it’s
delightfulness.
“So.” Bee asked. “What is today’s meeting about then?” they
looked at Gabriel, curiously.

“Umm, honestly, not really anything.” he answered abruptly.
Beelzebub’s brows furrowed. “What do you mean?”
“I guess. I...just wanted to see your face?”
Bee froze. They felt their face heating up, and basically
jumped out of their chair, before sitting down and being
silent again a moment later.
“Sorry, I should not have said something that dumb. Don’t know
why I did that. But...I enjoy talking to you, Beelzebub, I
genuinely do! It’s amazing to just have someone
who...understands! You know?”
They nodded eagerly, trying to ignore it, but their stomach
started twirling, and their heart stopped for a second.
He...said that!
There was no reason for this meeting?
He...just wanted to see them?!
Could it be?
They brushed the thought of as quickly as it came to them.
#
For the rest of the evening, they had tried that feeling of...Joy?
They knew humans called this feeling love, but never had they thought that a demon could even feel such a feeling, that they were designed to feel emotions at all! But well, whatever this was, it was just another proof of mysterious god worked.
“How is it, down in hell?” Gabriel asked them.
The sun was already going down and they had spent most of
their time siting in silence. “Well, nothing’s changed,
really, we all are just...existing. It was all so clear before,
we were created for that one purpose...But now...Not a soul
telling you you're doing a good job, just, ugh...to be
appreciated, only a little bit...I don't know what the point
is...the meaning! An existence like this...Urgh...Fuck!" about
to tear up and shocked about their sudden emotional outburst,
they rested their head on the table, hiding their face from
Gabriel, who now seemed slightly worried, but mainly confused.
"I....I don't know if that helps, but, you're not alone. I
understand the meaning of what you're trying to say.
It's...lonely as an Archangel as well, I mean, there is some
people that make your day brighter, but, so little really.
And, its not any of those I'd see every day, you know what I
mean? But anyway, what I was trying to say, I see you, and I
do think that you're doing a great job!" Gabriel smiled and
took one of Beelzebub’s hands into his, squeezing it lightly.
Bee froze for a second, again. Then they looked up, eyes a bit
watery.
"Thank you, Gabriel!" they smiled. "You're doing a hell-...a
heavinish...? You're doing a good job as well." they added,
sincerely.
Gabriel grinned back at them.

He took one of his fingers to their face and wiped a few of
the tears of their cheek.
"Wow. Fascinating." he exclaimed.
"How come?" Beelzebub asked, a bit confused.
"Nothing, I just...I didn't know demons could cry!"
Bee had to giggle. "Of Course, they can, Dummy!" they said.
"To be fair though, Education in hell wasn't really a big
thing, probably wasn't in heaven either?"
"I....Yes, that's true. I mean it's still a rather unwise thing
of me to say, but still...All we really taught that you were
the bad guys, that you were in the right, and that we
shouldn't question, that everything she does, might it seem
so...bad...it's all right, and for the greater good...I....never
thought about this like that...But well...we don't wanna get
all depressing again, don't we?" he smiled, a sadness laying
in his eyes. "You being sad is already bad enough. It's what
that emotion is called, isn't it?"
"Yes." they answered. "And don't worry, Gabriel. You haven't
been the only one fooled by this cursed system."
"I....Can we not talk about that anymore? I....Don't like the way
it makes me feel."
Bee looked shocked. "Of Course!" they said.
Gabriel nodded at them thankfully. "Wait...Oh Goodness,
Beelzebub, I'm so terribly sorry, but I fear we'll have to
part ways for today, it's way to late!" he suddenly looked
stressed.
Beez heart sank. "No, of Course! But...before we part ways,
would you allow me to show you a human gesture I've learned
about...?"
"Oh! Yes, why not!" he said, while they were getting out of
their seats.
Bee rushed up to Gabriel and lovingly put their arms around
Gabriel's tall statue, their small hands resting on his back.
"It's called a hug." they whispered.
Gabriel smiled. "It's...quite pleasant actually!
Interesting...those Humans." he got lost in his thoughts.
Beelzebub could have stood like this for hours.
Their head was pressed against his chest, tighter, now that he
returned the hug, they could even hear his heartbeats.
But sadly, this wouldn't be an option, so they had to part
ways once again, only this time they promised each other to
meet again soon.
#
Beez heart still beat fast of the thought hours later, back in their dark office, in the cursed basement they called hell. The room held only their throne and a working desk, were books about human emotions started pilling up. They had all secretly miracled them here, when they decided to learn more about humans. They've read the book about Love around six times now and every time they did read it, it would get harder for them

to lie and make themselves believe the feeling that they've
been feeling around Gabriel weren't the thing humans referred
to as "Love".
They sighed.
A Demon, in Love with an Angel.
Hallelujah.
Their mind wandered to Crowley, the traitor.
They remembered hearing a rumour about him and his angel
friend, you know, being in love. But rumours after all were
just rumours right?
They were sure these feelings couldn't be felt by any demons.
But then again.
"Fuck! Ugh..." they groaned.
Annoyed they threw the book at the wall.
"That Stupid Angel, who does he think he is?!How dare he
confuse me like that!!! I....- “, they muttered to themselves,
more desperate then actually pissed.
#
Hell was never a busy place, so there were countless of
occasions were Beelzebub’s absence could go completely
unnoticed.
From semy regular monthly meetings, they had gone to the point
where they saw each other almost every week, just for the hell
of it all.
Edinburgh still was one of their favourite places to meet,
though they changed it up from time to time, the city just had
a lot of charm to them.
Today was one of the days they'd went to Edinburgh.
#
"Wow, it actually looks like you!" Bee giggled.
"Right? Sometimes I just come to look at it, for hours on
end!" Gabriel had a loving expression on his face.
Beelzebub felt a sudden wave of sadness build up in their
stomach.
Oh, how they wished he would look at them like that, with his
beautiful eyes and his perfect, loving smile.
Gabriel had changed a bunch since they started meeting up,
much to Beelzebub’s delight.
He seemed to finally learned what this system they were forced
to follow did to them, and that stepping out of the border
here and there was actually quite "pleasant" as he would
probably say.
His grins widened with every time they saw each other, but
still Beelzebub couldn't help themself.
They wished his grin was only theirs.
But...no. He wasn't even looking at them now! He was looking
at a stone statue.
Of Himself!

But could they really blame him?
After all, this was never supposed to be actually full-time
love, right?
I mean...they were in love...factual.
But it still made no sense to them.
They shouldn't feel those feelings.
They couldn't ever be returned.
Okay.
The prince of hell, in love with an Angel?
But...The Supreme Archangel Gabriel...in love with them?
No was simply the only answer.
They took a deep breath. „You pretenigoius fuck. “, they
whispered, jokingly.
Gabriel giggled. „How dare you? Hehe. “, he grinned, as he he
jokingly gave Beelzebub a little nudge on their shoulder.
They smiled. "Should we go to the pub then?” they asked.
"Yeah. Was it yours or mine turn to order?"
"Yours." Bee bluntly responded, obviously a bit jokingly
teasing. "Could you order me a pack of crisps tho...? Please."
they added.
"Of Course!" Gabriel answered.
#
Bee grinned. It was always a pleasure to watch Gabriel try his
hardest to order food or really any kind of beverages, as he
was so adorably terrible at it.
They looked for a seat and sat down, waiting for Gabriel.
Suddenly they stopped their train of thoughts to look at the
old, colourful jukebox that stood in the middle of the tiny
pub.
That was their favourite song! What in the world?
Then they spotted Gabriel, walking towards them, a satisfied
smug on his face, while shaking his head side to side to the
familiar melody.
Their eyes widened. “That is...DID YOU?! Gabriel...!”
Gabriel’s smile grew even wider. “Just a tiny little
miracle.”, he sat down beside them and put two pints of beer
and a bag of crisps on the table infront of them.
Beelz smiled. “Oh! A bag of crisps! Thank you, Gabriel!”
It was a snack Beelzebub grew quite fond of in the past plus
minus three years.
“No Problem!”
“It’s really nice of you...I mean...using your miracle and all
that. Thank you really!” they blushed.
“No Problem! You...just looked so sad today, I thought you might
appreciate it!” Beelzebub’s stomach turned in joy. They
smiled. “Thank...Thank you so much! I...I should give you
something to!” they thought a second, but then they summoned
one of their trusty container flies, and even though parting
for it wasn’t easy, they got it into a small matchbox they’d
found in their pocket.

They had emptied it out, just for that use.
They handed it to Gabriel with a smile. “It’s a container,
it’s bigger inside! You can store things inside! I...I have a
feeling you need it. Please take good care of it.”
“Thank...Thank you! No one has ever given me anything before! I
promise I’ll take good care of this little one.”
Bee looked into Gabriel’s deep, purple eyes, and for a moment,
a small, tiny moment, this brutal world that they had to spend
their existence in, seemed a little less brutal.
“I enjoy our meetings so much...I wish we didn’t have to part
ways again! It’s so...cruel.” “Oh, Gabriel, we can meet up
anytime! Don’t you worry, but of yes, I feel the same. I-”
#
Bee smiled again.
They were already back in their dark, cold office in hell.
Cold not meant in a physical sense of way, but an emotional
kind of way.
They couldn’t care less about the heat in hell, ‘cuz without
their angel they’d be cold either way.
#
The next few months they met up more, often three times a
week, and with their trust growing, their physical barrier was
shrinking.
Nowadays both seemed to enjoy leaning on each other’s
shoulders, sitting on park benches, watching the humans all
day. For both it became a normal thing to do. No deeper
feelings ever mentioned.
Beelzebub had done a great job at convincing themselves it was
just a "friend thing".
They never saw Gabriel, constantly staring at their lips.
They didn't feel his heart beat like crazy when they hugged,
nor did they know about the butterfly's in his stomach, that
were always there when the two of them would spend time
together.
Beelzebub just spend their life conforming to a system that
hadn't planned any good for them. They had been made belief
that they weren’t wort anything, and that they could never be
truly loved. They someway never stopped meeting their beloved
angel though.
#
"Gabriel!" Bee waved frantically over to him.
They sat on a blanket in a park, waiting, when they had
finally spotted the angel. Most time though, they already knew
when he was around. When ever the Lord of the flies’ heart

started racing, it could only be thanks to Gabriel, the
supreme archangel.
"Hello Beelzebub." he smiled at them lovingly and sat down
next to them.
Today they wanted to try something that humans called a
picnic. Bee had gotten snacks and a blanket, and Gabriel
choose the park. Now they were leaning against an old, fallen
down tree. "How's the work, Angel?" they asked, smiling.
"Repetitive...Can't be long anymore."
"Uhhh...What exactly?"
"The second run of Armageddon...I think they'll soon be ready
to set the plan into motion." Beez heart sank.
Gabriel smiled. "But don't worry, I got this." he said, so
sure of himself, that Beelzebub couldn't help but believe
every word he said.
#
They started trying all the different kinds of snacks they had
brought, until only some crumbs of crisps were left.
"You know, Beelz, those humans really are an interesting
bunch." Gabriel said, leaning against the fallen tree.
Bee, also leaning against the tree, smiled.
"I've been researching them a lot, you know? And, oh goodness,
I wanted to ask you this for a really long time, but there is
a certain human gestured i would love for us to try..."
"What?"
"I... Would you close your eyes, please?"
"Huh....What?"
"Please just trust me, ok?"
"Of Course, I trust you!"
Confused, and a tidy bit nervous, the demon closed their eyes.
Seconds later they felt Gabriel's lips on theirs.
Their heart stopped. The world stood still. It was a kiss! A
real kiss?! And suddenly they understood.
Suddenly they saw.
They understood.
He pulled away moments later, though Bee could have very much
done this a bit longer. "I....I'm sorry..." Gabriel whispered,
upon seeing Beelzebub’s confused face.
He looked guilty, like he had done something he shouldn't do.
Bullshit.
"Stupid, Stupid Angel. I was supposed to be the "master
tempter"!” Between their chaos of feelings, they smiled and
grabbed Gabriel by his tie to pull him in for a longer, even
more intense kiss.
It all felt so scarily natural, for something they had never
done before.
Bee could feel all those bottled up emotions release, making
them a lot less tense.
And finally, under all that terrible self hatred they finally
found those three words that had been buried there for a long,
long time.
"I love you." they pressed out.

Gabriel smiled and wrapped his arms around them."I love you
to, my prince. I don't know how we ended up here, but I
wouldn't like it any other way. Feelings are so confusing. I'm
sorry if this is a lot so suddenly."
"Oh, they are. And don't worry. I'm glad it went the way it
did, really." Beelzebub pressed a kiss on his forehead.
"Love ya, Princess" they said, jokingly, which really tickled
him.
Bee didn't really understand, they didn't really understand anything.
In the span of four years they went from a ruthless demon, ready to do anything to fulfill their purpose, to cooperation with the enemy, leading to friendship and now to...this.
All those unknown feelings that never bothered them now did. And ultimately, they found a new purpose, or no, they found their real purpose.
Him, and the love they had for him, and the one he had for them.
🎶Love like yours will surely come my way🎶
"And a bag of crisps and a beer for my partner please."
Bee smiled. Hearing this word out of Gabriel's mouth felt like
a dream to them.
He was talking about them!!!
It was a word they had really grew to appreciate.
He took their hand and they vibed to the music together while
walking.
They sat down in a quiet corner of the pub.
"You look as beautiful as ever, Bug." Gabriel loved
complimenting them all the time, and, unlike Beelzebub, he was
actually quite good at it.
"Thanks." they grinned. "I suppose you don't want to hear my
comments about your feet and similar anymore?" they giggled,
Gabriel smiled.
"Why wouldn't I? It's your unique way of complimenting, and I
appreciate that a lot. It is most beautiful."
Bee looked surprised. "You really think so?"
"Yes, of course!"
"Good. If you say so." they made a dramatic face. "You look
incredibly sweaty today, my love." Bee smiled, a bit awkward.
"Okay. Thanks! Honestly, I'll really have to get used to this.
You demons really have a strange way of viewing those kinds of
things."
"Sorry...I'll stop!"
"No! Bug! I mean that in the most positive manner!"
Beelz couldn't help but smile.

Bug was a pet name he had just recently start using, after his
attempts to call Beelzebub "Sunflower" were met with, well,
demonic "disagreement" that vaguely translated to "Don’t you
even dare think about it, Angel."
Gabriel had always responded with a grin and a quick "Sorry,
my dear." and now he didn't say it anymore, much to
Beelzebub’s delight.
Bug was a newer nickname, but by far the prince's favourite.
"Any news?" they asked Gabriel, before taking a large sip of
alcohol.
"No, nothing direct. I have a feeling though, it can only be a
few days now."
"You really think so?" their expression shifted into a worried
state.
"Yes." he answered, after taking a sip of his own drink.
"Will you tell me as soon as possible? I mean when you know
more?"
"Of Course, my love! I will, as soon as I can! Don't even
worry about it." Beelz smiled.
For Gabriel, it was easier.
He had a hang for thinking positive, Beelzebub meanwhile
mainly thought about all the things that could go wrong.
Every possibility they had played out in their head, most far
to horrible to think about a second time.
But when they heard Gabriel talked about it, it all sounded so
easy. They couldn't help but blindly believe him. Because they
wanted to believe him. They wanted to believe that it was all
gonna turn out just fine in the end.
"You look so worried, Bug! I know...it's scary, but don't
worry, I know it will be fine, it will all turn out just fine
in the end!"
"I know my sweet, I trust you, fully." they smiled.
"Oh fuck! It's so late! Bug, I'm sorry, I have to go, or else
they might realise my absence!" Gabriel exclaimed suddenly,
later.
They couldn't say how much later, they had basically just
stared at each other, for what very much could have been
hours.
"Of Course, my love. I'll see you soon." they said, a smile on
their lips.
"I love you." He kissed them quickly.
"I love you to, my dear." they smiled as Gabriel vanished.
#
The kisses were something they would never get used to.
Every single one left them desperate for more, it became their
compass.
They...In the past six thousand years they never thought that
this was actually what they had needed all along.

They had always believed that their purpose was to lead hell
to war, then to win, and enjoy eternity with...whatever it had
to offer.
They realised they never really knew what that even included.
But now, it was clear.
The purpose they had been missing all those millennials.
It had always been him, and his undying love...the love that
bonded them together like a rope, had it only been for such a
short time.
Beelzebub smiled again. The inhabitants of hell mostly seemed
confused, as their prince so have made it a habit.
Beelzebub just had to giggle every time.
Poor, stupid creatures.
They knew nothing about this world.
#
The next day, in the earlier morning hours, they received a
message from Gabriel. That was never strange thing, but
usually he did not send those this early, so it still worried
them. It also was rather short.
Bug, meet me at our spot, ASAP, it's really important! -G
They checked twice that they wouldn't be missed if they
disappeared for a few hours so suddenly, after gladly
realising that they were free to go, they teleported
themselves to Edinburgh.
The familiar graveyard was lit lightly by the early morning
sun, and normally Beelzebub would take a second to admire its
great beauty, but something told them that that was absolutely
not the right Time for that.
The clock on the second coming had just begun ticking.
They anxiously strut over the dirt, skimming the area, looking
for their angel.
"Bug, I'm over here!" they turned around, looking in Gabriel's
smiling face, and they wrapped their arms around him
immediately, full of relief.
At least for now, he was safe.
"Bee, we don't have to much time, but I needed to tell you
this now. I tried talking them out of Armageddon, but now they
are trying to put me out of office! They are going to hold a
trial against me!”
Beez heart sank, and confusion struck them, as they saw
Gabriel’s happy and exited face. “Dear! I’ll be made to fall!
That means...that means we can spend eternity together! I know
it’s different that what you would have wished for, but we’ll
make it work! I promise!”
“I...”
“Why do you look so scared?”
“I...That does not seem like the move heaven would pull!
They...they have a great reputation, but when another high-

ranking angel will be forced to fall...my sweet, that would
damage it! They wouldn’t risk that! What if they come up with
a different punishment?! What if they decide to destroy you?!
What if they...Uhhh...” Beelzebub chocked back their tears.
“No. I don’t think so. But i’m prepared for everything. I
planned it all trough, just trust me!”
“I...I...when...when’s the trial?” they asked, unable to stop the
tears from running down their cheeks.
“One and a half hours. At the end of this day we’ll be
together, no matter what happens.”
Bee stumbled across their words.
They didn’t want him to go, but they were smart enough to know
that there was no stopping him.
Stubborn angel.
“P...P...Promise that you will be safe okay? Swear, or else I
won’t be able to let you leave now.”
“I swear. I, Gabriel swear that I will be coming to you. I’ll
come back to you, my prince, my only, true love. And them we
shall start our own eternity.” he brushed aside some tears
from the demon’s cheeks.
“And we won’t have to part way ever again.”
Bee smiled, as they pulled Gabriel in for a long kiss. Full of
desperation, a promise. A claim even.
After Gabriel left, Bee took a long way over the graveyard.
They dried their tears, lost in thoughts, scared of what the
future had to offer for them, before they returned to hell
themselves.
#
Hours they sat in their dark office, waiting, nervously
playing with some strands of their oil black hair.
Suddenly, they heard the telephone go off.
They jumped.
Heaven only called on very rear occasions.
In most important ones, really.
They took up the phone, masking their excitement with a
disinterested tone of voice.
“Hello. What’s up?” Now they stopped breathing for a second.
Were they going to tell them about hell’s newest inhabitant?
“Hello, Lord Beelzebub.” Archangel Micheal’s voice sounded a
lot higher then usual, but still, clearly, it was him.
Even his voice screamed “Ohhhhh, i’m the archangel Michael,
and i’m just better then everyone!”
Bee rolled their eyes, they had always despised Micheal the
most. “Bloody hell, Micheal, what do you want?! they blurted
out.
“We called to inform hell that our supreme archangel has
vanished.” Beelzebub’s heart stopped.

“What?” they said, a bit shaky, which Micheal gladly failed to
pick up on.
“Yes. He has disappeared, we’re only calling to let your
people know anyone involved in this matter will be faced with
extreme sanctions.”
Extreme Sanctions? That was removal from the book of life!
What in the world were they planning? “Noted.” they said.
“Good. Bye then.” Micheal ended the call.
“FUCK!” Beelzebub screamed, tears streaming down their face,
wetting their clothes.
They knew.
They knew something would go wrong!
They knew...and still...they let him go...THEY LET HIM GO...It was...their...it was their fault......
They brushed away that thought, quickly.
At least, if heaven was looking for him, that meant that he was still somewhere out there, and with that, somewhat safe. Now they only had to find him before they did.
Hiding their panic and tears, Beelzebub quickly locked their office.
The next few hours they only laid around anxiously in their office, trying not to go crazy in worry, thinking about how they could safe him. Almost manic they went trough every possibility, deciding looking for him by themselves would raise to much suspicion.
As much as it hurt them, they had to entrust that job to the demons of hell.
They wouldn’t think so far, and if they offered them payment, they wouldn’t even remotely think about asking any kind of questions.
Heaven would also take some time assembling a task force. Without their respective leader, the system will crumble down right in front of them, and it surely would take its time to rebuild.
They smiled, oh how they awaited their downfall. They wrote posters, asking for the angel, they even drew him! They were fairly proud of their drawing skills. As the payment of the job, they wrote down The title of Duke of Hell, or, thanks to their poor spelling, and their bad grammar, it said something more on the lines of Titl Ov Dook of Hel. Bee smiled as they put them up all around hell.
Right now, Hastur was Duke of Hell, a stupid and incompetent demon, in their eyes, but when they ran of with Gabriel, he would, due to Hell’s understaffing, automatically be promoted to Prince of Hell, leaving the Title of Duke to be be claimed once again.
One Idea they had was left.
It involved the demon Crowley, who had been cast out as a traitor, and spend the past four years enjoying his life on earth with his partner-not-partner, the Retired Angel Aziraphale.

If someone knew the earth better then them, it was Crowley,
after all, he spends most of his existence on the ground of
the earth.
They quickly send their flies to him, and heard his annoyed
voice, as he appeared sitting beside them.
They looked down at him.
In the last few years, his ginger hair had not grown a bit.
They remember that human thing, scissors, for cutting.
He probably cut his hair.
He was wearing tartan collar, not usually his style.
They smiled inside.
Her angel must have bought it for her.
Though he was still wearing his black sunglasses, and if you
concentrated really hard, you could see their snake eyes
shining out underneath.
“Oh! Lord Beelzebub! How are we?”
“Shut up, Crowley.”
“Oh...That’s not nice! Why the sudden
contact though? Anything interesting?”
Beelzebub liked Crowley’s sarcasm.
They had always preferred him to other demons.
“I have a proposal to make.” they said.
“Oh, do you? What happened to the whole “Crowley the traitor”
blah blah blah, all that neat stuff. What happened to that?”
“You are still considered a traitor in hell’s eyes. But what
if I would be to tell you that we’ll be willing to accept you
back into our mids?”
Crowley’s brows furrowed. “Really?”
“Yes!”
“And... how? What’s the catch?”
“The Archangel Gabriel vanished. Heaven is very determined to
get him back, they said if anyone is found out to have
anything to do with it, they'll be erased from the book of
life. Do you know what that means, Crowley? They won't just
dissappear, they won't have existed in the first place! But
well, I thought we should steal him away from them infront of
their noses. A little fun, you know? And you, you know earth
better then everyone else! Bring me the angel and you can have
whatever you desire! You cold even be Duke of Hell!"
"Hmh...Dunno...I tell you if I hear anything though." he
grinned, mischievously.
Bee rolled their eyes as he vanished back to his beloved
Bentley.
Now they had to wait.
It would be heard, but they believed in fate.
Gabriel and them would reunite.
And then they could finally live their life, like they wandet to.
Together.

Not a soul will be able to tell them ever again.
How they were supposed to live.
And they would be happy.
Forever.
Every day, its getting closer.
They grinned.
"I can't wait."
Epilogue
"Bug?"
"Yes, my princess?"
"Was it right, leaving?"
"Of Course, Azirafell and Crowley will be just fine on their
own! They wouldn’t have wanted us to stay anyways. And we both
know it would have been way to dangerous for us."
"Yes, I guess you're right."
Beelzebub smiled. Oh, how beautiful everything looked from way
up here.
"Does it feel like that, looking down on earth from heaven?"
they asked.
"No. Heaven was cold, sterile. You thought it be a place
filled with love, but no, there was none of that."
"Hmmm.Okay. Still more I could ever imagine in that cold,
foggy, old, hellish basement."
"Haven't you ever seen this?"
"No? My sweet, when should that have happened?" They looked at
him with a confused smile.
"Before the beginning! Before the fall. You know?"
"I....I don't think I remember it. And I don't think I want to
either."
Gabriel sighed, but it wasn't a sigh out of annoyance, they
could tell.
They smiled again, while shifting their eyes back to the
beautiful sight in front of them.
The universe seemed so endless, yet so small from up here.
They looked at Gabriel again, gazing far away, his eyes
bathing in the the thousands of different colours of the
universe, of the stars. He seemed lost in thoughts.
"Demons don't like to remember what they used to be, don't
they?" he suddenly asked.
Bee froze, a single tear emerging from their eyes. "Yes, they
really don't." they pressed out.
"My dear, I....would it be okay for you to explain to me why?
I....I don't think I unterstand, I always treasured those
memories. But I really want to understand, genuinely.”

Bee took a deep breath. "So did I-" they whispered. "But
falling, being cast out, abandoned, by someone who claimed to
love you, unconditionally, always. It hurt more then
everything you could ever imagine. But well, at the end of the
day I got to meet you, so maybe falling was...no! Falling
wasn't worth it. But...we made the best out of it."
Gabriel gave them a small kiss on the forehead. "It's alright,
Bug. Now I understand you better, thank you so much for that."
"Thank you, my love. Sorry I couldn't protect you more."
"Are you joking? It's all alright. And as you said, Aziraphale
probably took much better care of me. Even if I didn't really
deserve it."
His gaze shifted into a sad expression.
Beelzebub laid their hand on his chest in loving gesture. "But
you learned from your mistakes, Gabriel. You realised the
error of your ways and became a better person. And he knew
that, deep down, and so does Crowley, even if he'd probably
never admit it." they grinned.
"Yeah, that makes sense...you're probably right." He said, now
smiling as well.
"My dear?"
"Yes?"
"I promise, no matter what happens, you'll be forever safe with me."
"Thanks, my sweet, so do I. Forever, and even longer. They kissed, and it was a kiss sweeter than any before.
A promise.
To forever.
And even longer.
