Flower wakes up to the annoyance of her alarm beeping on hr phone. She had completely forgot why she set an alarm, so she rubbed her eyes and looked at her phone.
"DATE WITH LOLLIPOP TODAY AT 11 !!! <3"
After she read that she remembered. But Flower was still confused; what's the time now? After a quick check, she jolted out of bed at the realisation the time is 10:30. She had to be quick if she wanted to be on time, so she got the first set of clothes she saw, chucked them on and ran out the door to where they would meet: at the park.
Lollipop was waiting at the park when flower arrived.
"OMG Lolly I'm so sorry!! I was so tired this morning, I had to rush to get here I'm so sor-" Lollipop took her by the hand. "Girl, don't stress. I know this happens. By the way, you absolutely rock that sweater." Flower's normally bright yellow face turned into a slight tint of red after that comment. This bright pink jumper was her least favourite one, but she had to wear it if she wanted to be on time.
After a bit of walking around and taking in the sweet scents of the non-sentient flowers around them both, Lollipop turned to Flower.
"You wanna go get some lunch? It's nearly 12:30, and after all this walking I bet you're hungry. I'll pay if you want."
"I would love that. Where are we going?"
"The hot chips place. I'm a regular, so hopefully they give us a discount?"
It took them a minute to get there, but an employee was happy to see Lollipop.
"Hey Lolly! I'm gonna guess you want your usual; the chicken burger minus the pickles with a small chips?"
"You know it! But can you change the small chips to a medium? I've got someone with me today. Flower, want something else with the chips?" Flower was lost in her train of thought, thinking of what could happen on this date. Suddenly her thoughts stopped when Lolly clicked her fingers in front of her face.
"Uh, want anything with the chips?" Lollipop snickered.
"Oh! Uhh, I'll have a hot dog with bacon and onion but no mustard, please.' Lolly recited the order to the cashier, and paid for it.
Lollipop went back to Flower, and took her by the arm to go find a place to sit outside. They both chose a nice, shady tree to sit under.
"I got lost in my thoughts there, I'm sorry. They were all about you and me, possibly on more dates? And beyo-" Lollipop shushed her.
"I know what you mean by beyond." Flower turned a bright red. "OMG is that too far? This is only our first date, am I being too weird?" Lollipop silently smiled.
"Here's your food. Enjoy."
