Chapter Text

Kuro wasn't sure what woke him up, but something tells him that something was off.

Not wrong, just off.

He let out a groan of annoyance when he checked the time on his phone. It was  a few minutes before 4 AM, and he knew he wasn't going to get any sleep anymore.

Sighing, he decided it was time to start his day and head to the showers before the other three in their shared dorm room starts to wake up as well.

That's when he heard a small sniffle. It was so soft one could miss it despite how quiet the room is.

He looked around the room, thinking that one of his dorm mates might be crying while pretending to be asleep or crying in their sleep.

Shu was asleep peacefully and was partially hidden under his covers, something that Shu unconsciously does when he's asleep.

Sena, despite looking and acting gracefully when he's awake, was in a tangled mess with his pillows and blankets, which is making Kuro question how Sena manages to stay asleep. Well... At least he's comfortable.

Mao... He wasn't there.

Kuro blinked at that.

He vaguely remembers Sena dragging a half asleep Mao in their dorm and scolding him a bit, but Kuro was too sleepy to listen and understand what he was scolding the younger for. Kuro was having a feeling it must be about his work again though.

Maybe Mao left the room the moment everyone fell asleep?

But Mao wasn't the type to leave his bed in a mess though.

Kuro was about to reach for his phone to call the missing red head when he saw a small movement in the shadows on Mao's bed followed by another sniff.

Was it Mao who was crying all this time?

Kuro cautiously approached the bed and saw a little movement again.

"Isara? Are you alright? Why are you crying?" Kuro asked softly, trying to be as quiet as possible so he won't wake the others.

The only response Kuro got was a small hiccup and another sniffle from Mao. Kuro reached for Mao's lamp and opened the light, but what he saw next was something he didn't expect.

A really really tiny boy was sitting by the corner of the bed next to the wall, as if he was trying to blend into the shadows and hide there.

The said boy had bright lime green eyes and wine red hair that reached a few inches past his shoulders. He was wearing a shirt that was obviously too big for him and the said boy looked at Kuro as if he was confused and scared.

"WHAT THE FUCK." Kuro didn't mean to say it loudly, but right now he was just so shocked and was still processing on what he was seeing.

The sudden loud voice echoed in the empty room, shocking not only the kid but also waking up Shu and Sena from their sleep.

"Why are you being so loud at this hour?" Shu grumbled grumpily as he glared at the red head.

Kuro's eyes widened when he saw the boy's lower lip trembled and finally, the crying began.

"Oh shit, shit." Kuro said as he gently lifted the boy in his arms, rocking his body to calm the crying boy down.

"Is that a kid?" Sena asked as he scrambled to open the lights of their dorm room, while Shu stared in shock.

"Uh... He's not just any kid." Kuro said as he gently coaxed the kid to look at Shu and Sena, who gave them a very short glance before hiding his face on Kuro's shoulder once again.

He wasn't crying anymore, thank the heavens, but he won't let go of Kuro's shirt and was tightly clinging to the older idol.

"Isara-kun? Isara Mao-kun?" Sena asked in shock as all of them stared at the now a year old Isara Mao.

Mao slowly peeked from Kuro's shoulder to look at Sena and slowly gave him a small wave.

And it was...

Adorable.

"What the hell happened?!" Shu asked in a loud voice which scared the toddler again and was about to cry when Kuro gently let out a soft 'shhhh' and mumbling things like 'no one is mad' and 'you don't have to be scared' before both Sena and Kuro gave him a look. "What?" Shu asked.

"I just got him to calm down, you know. And I don't know, I woke up and heard some soft crying. I found him like this already. For how long he has been sitting in the dark and crying by himself, I have no idea. But the poor little thing is shaken up." Kuro said as he continued to rock his body, now that Mao had settled on his arms and looked sleepy.

"He looks like he's a year and a few months old," Sena said, observing the toddler on Kuro's arms before a worried look appeared on his face "His clothes are too big for him. He can't go around looking like that."

"What makes you think he'll be going anywhere?" Shu asked, making his two other dorm mates look at him.

"You can't expect us to keep him as a secret from everyone," Sena said "Especially... Oh god..."

Both Kuro and Shu looked at him as pure dread filled their cores as they realized what (or who) Sena meant.

"How do we explain this to Trickstar, the student council and the Sakuma brothers... Especially Ritsu." Kuro asked softly as he gently maneuvered the now sleeping wine red colored haired toddler.

"Not only that. We should focus on the most obvious matter we have on our hands. We aren't technically prepared to have a child right now," Shu pointed out. "We don't have diapers, baby food, feeding bottles or even baby formula."

"How does 'shopping' at the convenient store sound?"

They all had one thing in their minds currently: Does the convenient store sell a few baby clothes?

Sena and Shu will soon find out the store doesn't carry baby clothes, but at least they'll manage to get a few baby stuff before they'll manage to go all out on a shopping spree.

They're still hoping that 7 AM doesn't come so soon.
