Goosebumps belong to R.L Stine. I don't own any of the characters, except for Julia, Domino and Holly.

Work Text:

Wally was sitting at his desk, looking over progress reports. He growled under his breath. That Julia girl was still alive, and it was all his stupid brother's fault! He fell under Julia's spell and became a goodie-goodie. And the other monsters weren't any better. That stupid werewolf had even fallen in love with her! Wally looked up when he heard a knock at the door. His horror secretary poked her head in. "Sir, two dummies are here to see you." Wally smiled. He had a new plan in mind to get Slappy out of the way, thereby making it easier to kill Julia. "Well, what are you waiting for? Show them in!" In walked two dummies. One had wild brown hair, brown eyes and wore a red sweater and jeans. The other had slicked back grey hair, blue eyes and wore a purple pin-striped suit, tie and fedora. It was Dennis and Rocky, Slappy's old adversaries. Wally slapped on a fake smile. "Gentleman! I'm so honored that you could make time out of your busy schedule to see me." "You said it was of the utmost importance." Said Dennis. "Yes, that is correct. I'm going to get straight to the point. Are you both familiar with a dummy named Slappy?" Both Rocky and Dennis stiffened. After a moment of silence, Rocky answered. "Yeah, we both fought him in the past. How do you know him?" Wally sighed. "Sadly, he's my brother. And I'm afraid he's still alive." Dennis and Rocky gasped. "How can he still be alive?" Rocky said. "I saw him blow up when he was struck by lightening!" Dennis looked at Rocky, confused. "Wait, blown up? I killed him by cracking open his head." "Slappy cannot be easily defeated. He's back, and has recently captured a young woman and forced her to be his slave." Wally brought up some fake tears and started bawling. "You two are the only ones who have been able to defeat my brother. I'd do it myself, but I'm scared of Slappy! He used to beat me when we were growing up!" This, of course, was a big fat lie, but Dennis and Rocky didn't know that. Wally threw himself at their feet, still blubbering like a baby. "Please! For the sake of that poor girl's freedom, will you defeat my brother once and for all?" Rocky and Dennis looked at each other and nodded. Rocky helped Wally to his feet and said "Just tell us what we need to do and where we need to go." Wally hid his smirk. Everything was going according to plan.

Meanwhile, at the Appel household, Julia and her kids were preparing the food for tomorrow's Thanksgiving feast. Domino and Holly were making the cake, Slappy was doing the sweet potatoes, and Julia was mixing the stuffing for the turkey. Slappy was super excited, because this was going to be his first Thanksgiving. Most Thanksgivings he spent trapped in a book, or locked in a trunk. As Slappy poured the syrup over the yams, he thought back to all that had happened to him in a span of two months. He had given up his evil ways, got a new family, was forgiven by Amy, and had even gained forgiveness from Trina, Daniel, Zane, Jillian and Katie, with some help from Amy. All he had to apologize to now were the dummy's, Rocky and Dennis, and his creator/papa, R.L Stine. Slappy was broken out of thoughts when his former werewolf friend, Will, poked his head through the window. He gave Julia a toothy grin while wiggling his eyebrows. "Getting the stuffing ready for the turkey? Know what I'd like to stuff you with?" While Julia ran to the bathroom to puke, Will smiled sheepishly. "That was pushing it, wasn't it?" Slappy and the girls glared at him. "Ya think?!" Just then, who should come through the door, but Amy. "Hi, everyone! Thought I'd stop by and help you get ready for Thanksgiving. Where's Julia?" "She's in the bathroom, throwing up, because Will was flirting with her." Holly answered. Amy just laughed. After having saved up enough money, Amy had moved out of her parents house and bought a house on the same street Julia and her children lived on, much to Slappy's joy. Speaking of Slappy, a goofy grin had spread across his face and he gazed at Amy dreamily. Domino and Holly rolled their eyes. Ever since Amy had forgiven their brother, he had developed a huge crush on her. Once Julia had finished regurgitating, she and Amy left to do some last minute Thanksgiving shopping. Once they were out the door, Domino and Holly ganged up on their big brother. "Slaps, why don't you just tell Amy how you feel?" "It's obvious that you love her." Slappy sighed and looked down at his feet. "I can't girls. I'm too scared." "What are you scared of? Amy's forgiven you, hasn't she?" "She may have forgiven me, but there's no way she could ever love me after what I've done to her. Besides, look at me, I'm made of wood. What chance do I have with a girl like Amy?" "No chance at all." A new voice said. Slappy looked over and gasped. Standing at the doorway was none other than... "Rocky! Dennis! What are you doing here? How'd you find me?" Rocky cracked his knuckles. "We've come to put an end to your evil ways once and for all." "Wait! Y-you don't understand! I'm not evil anymore, I'm good now." Dennis snorted. "Yeah, right. Like we'd actually believe that." "But it's true! Just ask Amy!" Dennis growled and punched Slappy in the nose. "You stay away from Amy! You did enough damage to her the first time." Rocky grabbed Slappy by his shirt collar, lifted him up and threw him across the room. Slappy hit the wall and fell to the ground unconscious. "And don't even think about going anywhere near Daniel and Trina!" Domino and Holly tried to stop the two dummies, but Rocky picked them up, threw them in the bathroom and locked the door. "Sorry, kiddies, but this is for your own good." Dennis and Rocky grabbed Slappy by the legs and dragged him outside.

When Slappy came too, he found himself tied to a tree and Dennis and Rocky were throwing twigs and dried leaves at his feet. "Guys? W-what are doing?" Dennis lit a match. "Since it's a cold night out, we thought we'd have ourselves a nice campfire." And he threw the match in the twigs. Slappy started to panic. "L-look, I know you guys are angry, and you have every right to be. The things I did to you two were terrible." He screamed in pain as the flames started to singe his feet. "But...but you have to believe me when I say that I'm really really  really sorry! And I promise that I'll never do anything bad again, because I'm good now!" "There's no way you could ever be good, Slappy!" Cried Dennis. "He's telling the truth, Dennis." Rocky and Dennis turned and saw Amy standing there, along with Julia, Domino and Holly. "Amy? What are you doing here?" "I'm here to stop you from making a terrible mistake. Slappy's not evil anymore. He came to me a month ago to apologize and even offered to be my slave." As Amy was distracted the dummies, Domino and Holly put out the fire and untied Slappy. Rocky and Dennis hesitated, but only for a moment. "Look, he's probably got you under some kind of mind control." Said Rocky. "He did the same thing to me." "And how can you say he's not evil, when he's made that poor girl his slave?" Dennis gestured towards Julia. The enchantress raised brow in confusion. "I'm not Slappy's slave, I'm his mom." "Wait, what?" "Slappy and a bunch of other monsters were sent to kill me, because I have the power to destroy all evil. I saw that, deep down, there was good in Slappy, so I showed him the error of his ways and reformed him, then adopted him." Now Rocky and Dennis were confused. "But...but Wally said..." "Wally?" Slappy (who had been sitting on the ground, cradling his burnt feet) looked up. "You mean my brother, Wally Wood?" Dennis nodded. "Yeah, he told us that you used to beat him and that you had come back and captured that girl and made her your slave." Slappy, Julia, Amy, Domino and Holly all groaned in unison. "Well, now it all makes sense." Julia kneeled down, so she was at eye-level with the dummies. "You see boys, It's Wally who's the evil one. In fact, he's more evil that Slappy ever was. It was he that beat Slappy, and it was he that sent Slappy and the monsters to kill me. Most likely, he sent you guys to get rid of Slappy, so it would be easier for him to get rid of me, because ever since I adopted Slappy, he's been protecting me from his brothers' attacks." Dennis and Rocky felt awful. They couldn't believe it. They had been duped, deceived, shamboozled! The dummies went up to Slappy. "Slappy, we're really sorry. We didn't know." "It's alright. I guess this pretty much makes us even." But we killed you twice, and now we tried to kill you for something you didn't even do." "Is there anyway we can make it up to you, Slappy?" Slappy smiled. "How about joining us for Thanksgiving dinner?" Dennis and Rocky smiled and hugged their former enemy/new friend. "Deal!"

So Slappy's first Thanksgiving was by for his best, since he had gained forgiveness and two new friends. Even though his feet had to be bandaged and he couldn't walk due to 2nd degree burns, but Julia said his feet should regenerate within a week. Slappy didn't really mind, because anytime he had to move, Amy would carry him, much to the puppet's delight. The unusual family gathered around the table and took turns saying what they were thankful for. When it was Slappy's turn, he smiled and looked around him. "I'm thankful for new family, new friends, new home and a new life." "Amen!" Holly cheered, lifting her glass. That earned a laugh from everyone. The family dug in. Julia noticed that Domino was being unusually quiet. "Domino? Are you okay, sweetie?" "Yeah, I'm fine. But there's still one thing that worry's me; what are we going to do about Wally? Eventually, he'll find out that Dennis and Rocky didn't kill Slappy, and he'll come after us again." Julia gave her honey bunny a hug. "I wouldn't worry about it. Whatever Wally throws at us, we'll face it together, as a family." But what none of them knew, was that Wally had already found out that his lacky's had failed, and was currently forming a new plan to get rid of Julia and her family.
