Trickster Tale Assignment - School Assignment Rewritten

Summary:

Trickster Tale Assignment used to be an old highschool assignment that i decided to rewrite, which in on itself was a rewritten version of a little comic i did called "The Magic Potion", something i drew and glued together when I was in kindergarten.

It is about a bunny who's friend is deathly ill, so he sets out on an adventure to find "The magic potion", which is now a golden fruit, able to heal any broken bone and any broken heart.

Notes:

I just wanna say, this first one was the original highschool version that i never finished, just so you can get a grip on what it first was before I actually rewrite it. It was a little stiff in terms of story, so fair warning.

Chapter 1: Assignment

Chapter Text

Once, there were two young bunnies. They were best friends since birth, always playing and hopping in the field. Even as adults, one sacrificed their life for the other.

“Hey..” said the ill rabbit. The poor thing was ill for many months, and his friend was beside his bed almost every day. The bunny perked up his big ears.

He replied, “Yes, my friend?”

“It has...been months… I don’t think I'll be able to be well again..”

“Don’t say that!”

“It’s true, is it not? I haven’t seen the sun in ages… It’s the end for me..”

“No!” the bunny cried, “Stay strong… I… I’ll find a way, you’ll be much better! I promise!”

“ Do not promise things you cannot keep… But I’ll keep strong, for you.”

And so, the bunny had a mission. He will keep his promise, even if his ill friend has doubts. He researched and researched through the library his village had, and he finally found it!

There is a tree… so rare and fragile, there is only one in existence. It grows a certain fruit, it heals anything once eaten. He smiled, for he knew what he was going to do.

He visited his ill friend and told him about this fruit, and how he was going to get it for him. He wished him luck, and the bunny gathered all the essentials he needed.

And once he was ready, he bid farewell to his village, and everyone wished him safe travels.

The bunny stared at his map, and followed where he was supposed to go. Through the Coyote Caverns, where he fled from the coyote thugs. Once he lost them, he huffed. He hid behind a rock, where he took a drink of his water and ate a carrot. But, from the shadows, he hears something. He becomes alert once again, and he stares where he heard the noise. And the darkness he stared at, opened two yellow eyes. They both stared at each other for a while, and the shadow that had the yellow eyes soon fled.

Of course, the bunny thought it was a nice creature, wishing him safe travels. It didn’t do anything to hurt him, so it must have been nice, right?

...Right?

(I wasn't done because this would have taken forever to finish)..
