Chapter Text
Run, run, as fast as you can, sly fox, you could only go so far until fate catches up with you.
You were running, trying to get as far away from your pursuers as possible, the cult members that lurked in the Darkwoods that you had the misfortune to encounter and now you were running for your life.
You can hear the cult members chanting as they continued their pursuit of you.
" Bring the (f/c) fox to our leader! "
" We must capture that fox! "
" (His/Her) blood will be perfect for our bishop! "
" Sacrifice the fox to our leader! "
You turned a sharp corner and leapt into the shadows, finding a good place to hide for the time being as you held your breath just as the cult members ran past your hiding place, your ears twitched as you listened carefully.
" Where could that fox have gone?! " One of the cult members demanded, you listened, trying to keep quiet as you heard the cult members run by you.
The sounds of their footsteps gradually faded from your sense of hearing until you could hear nothing more than the crickets that lurked within the shadows.
As soon as you realized that you were safe once again, you let out a quiet sigh of relief and walked out of your hiding place. And right afterwords, you began to run, making sure you are getting as far away from the Darkwoods as possible.
You've lived another day!
~~Timeskip~~
You were put before the bishop, Shamura in the Silk Cradle after accidentally triggering a trap there and getting caught.
" One becomes two, becomes three, becomes four. " Shamura spoke, you gazed at them, terrified.
" The fox of sly cunning. " Shamura mused, watching you.
" L-Let me live. " You pleaded, you had gone on so long without getting caught by any of the cults of the Old Faith that you never once thought about what you would do in order to survive.
Shamura watches you struggle, knowing that it was futile for you to try to escape, it was then that they decided to make an offer, predicting correctly that you would truly wish to survive, for a price.
" You shall, if you join. " They offered, knowing that you would want to live, even if it meant giving up your freedom.
Your eyes widened, and you shivered...
" I-I shall join the cult. " You told them, knowing full well that if you declined, you would be dead in an instant as you internally thanked your lucky stars for your survival, knowing how lucky you were to even be offered to join a cult.
Shamura seemed quite pleased, but you knew deep down that you would soon be indoctrinated into joining their cult, the Silk Cradle cult.
Before you knew it, you were taken by the cult members to be indoctrinated into the Silk Cradle cult as a newly christened member of said cult.
~~Timeskip~~
It wasn't long, or at least, it felt like it hadn't been long ever since you joined the cult, you were gradually getting used to the fact that you are now living your new life, your second chance, and the chance to serve your new master, Shamura.
And not to mention, you had, albeit at the time, unknowingly avoided being strung up in webbing back then, but as a new member, you had duties to tend to and for whatever reason there may be, you felt as if you were being watched nearly all the time.
This did not, however, stop you from listening in on some of the conversations you've overheard thanks to your keen sense of hearing.
" Could it be true? That (Name) the (f/c) fox was meant to join our cult? "
" Had to be, otherwise they would have just wrapped (him/her) up in a web and feasted, after all, (he/she) DID manage to escape the Darkwoods unharmed, and escape from the cult there from what rumors I've heard going around. "
" Our leader, Bishop Shamura had to have known through their wisdom! "
Of course, you were well aware of how wise Shamura is, despite the fact that The One Who Waits had severely injured their skull, you knew better than to ever mess with them or dissent.
However, your relations to Shamura hadn't gone unnoticed by the cult, especially when a single cult member decided to hit on you verbally...
...They were never seen again since then...
But alas, you would, on a daily basis along with your fellow members, pray to Shamura for knowledge, and them being the bishop of war, it was unwise for even you to dissent and you knew it. The one cult member who flirted with you and was never seen again had to have dissented before then or done some disgraceful act of defiance and paid for it quite dearly.
But as the time passed and you gradually adjusted to being a cult member, you realized that anyone who flirted with you had disappeared and you were beginning to wonder why, if you weren't indoctrinated you would have wondered far earlier but given the circumstances...
After another day of prayer for knowledge, you were soon summoned be Shamura themself, alone no less.
As you went to Shamura's chambers, you felt as if something major was going to happen, unaware of what fate awaited you as you entered their chambers.
" The fox of sly cunning, (Name). " Shamura greeted, pleased as soon as you entered their chambers.
You returned the greeting, unknowing of the fact that a new cult had popped up recently and Shamura's eyes were caught by a certain...ritual.
" What do you need of me? " You asked, knowing that they must have something very important to speak of if it's only with you alone.
" You have been chosen to undergo a certain...ritual, one becomes two becomes three becomes four... " Shamura spoke, before muttering of the numbers.
" Ritual? " You inquired, your senses were screaming at you to run, but...somehow, you knew it would only result in your death if you dared run from your master.
" Precisely, sly fox. " Shamura confirmed.
" Shall I be sacrificed? " You asked.
" No, you shall naught be sacrificed. "
" Then what shall become of me? "
Shamura was silent for a good moment before they stated what it is the type of ritual you must undergo.
" The Marriage Ritual. "
You looked at them in shock...before the implications set in and your face turned completely and utterly red.
" You wish for me to...marry you? " You asked, Shamura had a knowing look...
" Yes. And you cannot leave me. " They answered, your heart was thudding quite fast, your lord wanted to marry you...
" P-Please...let me marry you. " You told them, for the first time, they smiled...
And before you knew it, you squealed as they shot a string of web at you, it didn't hurt but it wasn't long before you were wrapped up in webbing.
" Then you're my spouse, sly fox, one becomes two becomes many. "
Since the wedding is soon, you shall never leave your spouse, even as your fate is sealed with a ritualistic kiss on the lips~
You will never forget the wedding as the wedding night will take place soon after the Marriage Ritual~
Because you will always be Cradled in the Silk, in Shamura's Silk.
