“Did you plan for this to happen?”
Moghedien asks the question and delights in Lanfear’s shudder. She didn’t plan it. Moghedien can see that clear as night but the woman’s tremble says more than she thinks. Moghedien had planned payback but watching Lanfear tend the woman who would, should, fall…. She thinks she will not need to make the woman pay.
“Did you plan for this to happen?”
Lanfear spits the words at her even as she weaves and calls to the Power, to her abilities, to heal Liandrin, the threat of tears enough that Moghedien almost flinches away. She had wanted the woman to pay for her games but this was too much.
“No, I did not.”
Moghedien’s words soften and she moves to weave her own spider-like magic to a bond, binding Lanfear to Liandrin before allowing a hand to rest against Lanfear’s own, pulsing power through her to Liandrin.
“This I planned…”
She murmurs, leaning to breathe deeply into Liandrin, dragging the woman back to life before kissing Lanfear’s hairline.
“Be free, Lanfear…”
