Jimin knew it. He always knew what was wrong with his body.
He knew what's coming for him eventually the day when he went to the hospital to get a check-up.
He had already expected this the moment the doctor opened his mouth.
"I'm sorry but there isn't much we can do about your condition anymore as it gets worse despite of getting a regular treatment." Dr. Hong says.
He had been expecting this but he didn't expect it to be sooner than he thought so he asked the doctor once again.
"H-how long would I l-live Doc?" Jimin stuttered, afraid of what the doctor would answer.
Dr. hong let out a sigh of defeat and said, "Six months to be precise, Mr. Park. I'm sorry."
Six months? Jimin thought.
It wasn't short but it wasn't long either so---
"Can I, like, expand my lifespan even if it's for just a few months longer than the original? I-I mean ---"
"Ah, I get it, Mr. Park." Dr. Hong interrupted him. "Well yes, we could do that but I'm afraid that your body's not showing reactions to the drugs we're giving you anymore." The doctor explains and Jimin understands that completely.
"So... Six months Doc?" Jimin asked again for confirmation, which the doctor nodded.
He thanked the doctor and went out of the office and suddenly realization hits him.
Six months remaining.
I'm gonna die.
Everyone didn't even know about this.
Will I tell them about this?
Jimin sat on a chair as he thought about the question. After a few moments, he decided something that he wished he won't regret.

Five months later...
"JUNGKOOKIE!!!" Jimin shouts as he ran towards the younger who's trying his best to hide himself behind Taehyung who is also busy munching fried potatoes.
"GET AWAY FROM ME HYUNG!!!" Jungkook squealed like a dying dolphin--- a manly one.
It's been five months and Jimin's been doing well hiding at his worsening condition. He's also good at acting in which he thought one time 'If I'm not gonna die then I guess I'll be debuting as an actor.' and laughs to himself, which made the others looked at him weirdly.
He's also doing the same routine like nothing happened: Waking Jungkook, eating beside Jungkook, fanboying about Jungkook, following Jungkook like a stalker--- I prefer myself a handsome admirer thank you very much--- and Just with Jungkook.
Yep. He's so in love with our Golden Maknae.
But unfortunately, the younger doesn't swing that way as he said so himself and Jimin would lie if he said that he wasn't hurt by the younger's rejections.
"He should at least play along with me. That little shit." Jimin mumbles and the younger just snickered as he heard Jimin complaining about the maknae not loving him.
"You got no jams, shortie. Deal with it." And the younger laughs, causing the elder to flick his forehead and a maknae running around, laughing like he's never gonna laugh tomorrow as Jimin chased him.
He never told anyone about his worsening condition except for his parents and the agency and their manager who obviously got hurt at the information they had received. Other than them, he really didn't told anyone, even the members. Just as he planned.

Clothes... Check. Things... Check. Letters... Check. Jimin thought as he checked the things he's gonna bring.
Today's the day that he's moving out of their dorm and the members didn't even know this. He silently walked out as his tears started to fall down on his cheeks, went to his manager to take him to his hometown for the last time and gave him the letters that he already wrote days ago.
"I'm sorry, guys. Goodbye." He said to himself and the car went off.
Goodbye Kookie. I love you.

Few hours later...
"Jimin-ah?" Taehyung called as he went to the shorter's bedroom to wake the elder up, which he finds that there's no one inside. Not even his things except for a letter that's laying on the study table.
"JIN HYUNG!!!" Taehyung shouted, which caused the others went confused, including the maknae who usually doesn't care about their resident beagle boy's whereabouts and shits.
"Jimin's gone." Taehyung said, making the others worry.
And suddenly, their manager appeared inside the dorm--- how did he even do that--- and walked where the others were gathered.
"Hyung, Jimin's gone." Their resident 4D alien said, worry written all over his face. And I swear that this guy don't just worry THIS much. But their manager smiled... Sadly.
"I know."
"YOU KNOW?! HOW?!" The members said in chorus.
"I took him to his hometown. He moved out for personal reasons." As soon the manager said those words, Jungkook felt a sudden pang and guilt in his chest.
Moved out?
"Hyung... C-can you take us there?" Jungkook asked, which made the rest look at him like he grew some second head or something because No, that wasn't what I had expected from Jungkook as the members had thought.
The manager sadly shook his head.
"Sorry but you guys had some places to attend today."
The others just nodded despite of them wanting to see Jimin. Well except for one.
Jungkook took a quick shower, grabbed some things and puts them into his backpack.
This should be enough. Jungkook thought.
"Jungkook-ah, where are you going?" Namjoon asked as he looked at their maknae who's acting strangely today.
"I'm really sorry hyung. Cancel me for this but I'm going to Busan to see him." Jungkook said and walked out as he ignored everyone's calls.

"Hey kid, your stop's here." Said the bus driver as he woke Jungkook up.
"Ah, okay thanks." Jungkook smiled and got off of the bus that took almost 6 hours from Seoul.
He went first to his parent's home, whick shocked the both of them because Why on earth are you here like don't you have some schedule today or something and don't lie at me I asked your manager about it in which he replied I need to see a friend here so I'm gonna crash here for a few days in which his parents doesn't reply and just nodded, knowing that there's something's bothering to their son.
Two days later...
He went directly to the elder's parent's house as he knew that's where Jimin's currently staying.
He knocked on the door first and Jimin's mother suddenly came in front of him, smiling a little bit forced.
"Ah, Jungkook-ah. Come in." Mrs, Park gestured the younger to come inside, which the other nodded shyly and awkwardly fidgeting as he sat down on the sofa.
"Uhhh... Where's Jimin-hyung, eomeoni?" Jungkook asked, which the woman smiled at him.
"The place where he wants to take you." Mrs. Park giggled but there's something's off.
The place where he wants to take m--- THE BEACH!!! Jungkook thought.
*flashback*
"Jimin-ssi, if you get a day-off vacation, where would you wanna go and with who?" The radio announcer asked. Jimin just smiled and said,
"If I get to have a one-day vacation, I want to hold hands with Jungkookie here," Jimin pointed playfully at the younger and continued "while we're walking side by side at the beach."
"I wanted to play video games that day though." Jungkook side-commented.
"But, Jungkookie here doesn't like me so it would probably me walking in the beach alone." Jimin cried playfully as he put his hand in a crying gesture and everyone in the radio studio laughed at his misery.
*end of flashback*
"Where's the nearest beach located, eomeoni?" Jungkook asked Mrs. Park, in which the woman just told him directions and the younger thanked her as he went off to the place.

The run was long but he didn't care as all he could think was Jimin jimin fucking jimin jimin jimin and jimin.
He didn't even realize himself that he fell for the shorter and his overwhelming presence around him. Not until now.
As he gets nearer to the said place, he saw something more beautiful than everything.
There was Jimin, sitting on the sand as he stared at the sea with so much thoughts that he didn't notice that younger's going towards him.
"Even if you keep staring at the sea, it won't go dry." Jungkook said and Jimin almost jumps at the sight.
"J-j-jungkook-ah..." Jimin stuttered as he stared at the taller with so much surprise. Jungkook just smiled at him.
"Hey shortie. Few days no see." Jungkook laughs as he saw the other groaned.
"It's hyung to you, you little shit." Jimin glared playfully at the younger and they just laughed.
They were silent at the moment--- a comfortable one--- until Jungkook spoke up.
"Why?" Jungkook asked, playfulness long gone in his voice and is replaced by a serious gaze towards the elder.
"Why what?" Jimin asked, already knew what's gonna happen next but decided to play dumb.
"You knew. Why did you leave us without telling me or the members? Why? Is it because of me? Is it because I keep rejecting you? Why hyung? Why?" Jungkook said as his tears started to fall down to his cheeks.
There was a moment of silence until Jimin answered.
"Jungkook-ah... I never saw the day that you'll call me hyung. Not until now." Jimin giggled.
"Why did I leave you guys suddenly? I'm telling you that you're not the reason for this because I wanted to be with you even if it means that I'll get hurt at the end but I really couldn't care about that. I left because I don't have much time now and I'm happy that I made some beautiful memories with you and the rest these past five months." Jimin smiled bitterly.
"What do you mea---" The realization suddenly dawned upon him.
"Y-you can't b-be..."
"Yes, Kookie-ah. I'm dying. You see, I was about to move out from the group few months ago but I decided against it. You know why? Because I want to see you guys happy and smiling and happy. Especially you. I want to see you smile even if it isn't me that's making you smile, I want to see you laugh even if isn't me who's making you laugh. I just want to see you happy and that would be enough for me." Jimin smiles.
"I'm still gonna do that even if I'm healthy and not dying." He said as he laughs but the younger took no humour in this.
"... You're cruel, hyung." Jungkook said inaudibly, however, Jimin heard it loud and clear but he wants the younger to say it out loud.
"What?"
"I SAID YOU'RE CRUEL HYUNG!!! WHY DO YOU EVEN HAVE TO HIDE IT FROM US?! WHY DO YOU HAVE TO HIDE IT FROM ME?! I-i-if I only knew..." Jungkook said as tears escaping from his eyes.
"... I could've told my feelings for you ages ago." Jungkook said it, and by judging Jimin's surprised expression, he really didn't see that coming. But again, he smiled as the information he received began to sink in.
"I love you so much hyung, so much that I get hurt whenever I avoid you. I love so much hyung that I feel like myself whenever you're around. I love you so much that I get jealous whenever you play with Taehyung or Hoseok-hyung and not me. I know I'm selfish but I love you that way." Jungkook escaped as he hugged his knees and Jimin should've found it cute if they were not in such situation.
The elder just cupped the younger's chin gently as he directly looked at him and catch those lips that he's dying to have for.
The kiss was innocent. No tongue-sliding, no slicky moans between them, just a simple kiss that only includes their mouth and their love for each other.
"I have always love you, Jeon Jungkook. You should know that by now." Jimin smiled as their lips separates.
They were now staring at the sunset, holding hands as they walk at the seashore, just like a romantic scene that Jimin always wanted.
"Kookie-ah, you got me the best present ever. And it's not even my birthday." Jimin laughed lightly and Jungkook snickered.
"You always make the lamest jokes, hyung. Aside from Hoseok because that guy can't twerk to live except for doing Sistar's dance steps." And they both laughed.
"You're mean." Jimin pouted but Jungkook kissed those pouts away as he looked at the elder.
"But you love me."
"I know."
"I love you, hyung."
"I love you too, Kookie-ah."

Days went on and Jimin's body is getting weaker so the two couldn't go outside anymore but their smiles for each other is totally worth it.
"Kookie-ah." Jimin called in which the younger just hummed.
"Promise me that you'll move on after this and you'll find a person that can love you and you can love back. Promise me that." Jimin smiled sadly as he thought that his days are slowly coming to an end. Jungkook noticed it and just smiled warmly to the elder and nodded as he muttered an 'I will hyung.'

"You really have to go, Kookie-ah. You still have work to do." Jimin said sliding his hand over the younger's head.
"You're more important than my work."
"But you have to live and make me proud, Kookie-ah. Do it for me, please?" Jimin whispered as he attempts to control his shaky voice.
"I will... for you, hyung." Jungkook as he gave Jimin their last kiss before he stood up and walked out the room, away from his beloved hyung.

"HYUNG!!! KOOKIE'S HOME!!!" Taehyung screamed cheerfully and everyone gathered around the boy who looked lost.
"ARE YOU OKAY?! HOW'S JIMIN?! OMG YOU BETTER TELL ME DETAILS YOUNG BOY!!!" Jin being the mother he is, spoke as soon as Jungkook went inside their dorm. However they stopped as they noticed the puffy red eyes of the younger.
"... I'm just going to sleep hyungs." Jungkook said as he went directly to his room and cries silently.

They knew now hyung. Now you're free. Jungkook thought as he cried endlessly as he stared at the newspaper in front of him.
The members were in for a shock after knowing what really happened to their resident jamless beagle. They kept asking Jungkook what really happened back there but Jungkook would just simply give an 'I'll tell you guys when I move on.'
The once lively dorm of theirs became gloomy and almost dark. Everyone was in verge of breaking down and they were almost disbanded if not for Jungkook who just spoke what happened within those days and what's the elder's promise to them.

Few years later, they slowly moved on and went back to their work and did their usual routine.
Jungkook on the other hand, was still broken after the incident happened but he's also starting to move on, not really forgetting the elder but he's happy with the memories they made.

Another few years later, the original lineup began to break as they wanted to focus more on their personal lives now that being an idol is not their thing anymore. The members left one by one until none of the original lineups left. They ended in a good way though.
Jin got married to a reporter named Lee Sunkyu and they decided to build a restaurant. Hoseok became a choreographer and made a dance studio somewhere in Gangnam. Namjoon and Yoongi became the most popular rappers in South Korea as expected. Taehyung debuted as an actor and has done many succesful projects, both in big and small screen and he was also got invites from the Hollywood.
And then there's Jungkook.
He's now a soloist singer now. His passion for music never died even on the age of 35, he still got the voice that Jimin loves. He's now succesful both inside and outside the country and has a family of his own. Hyung must be proud. Jungkook thinks as smiled at Jimin's graveyard.
"JUNGKOOKIE APPA!!!" Two little girls called him and he smiled as he turned around.
"Jimin-ah, Minah-yah, you guys done?" He asked sweetly in which the girls giggled and nodded.
"Now say hi to uncle Jimin."
"HI JIMIN OPPA!!!" The girls smiled widely at the altar. Jungkook went to hug the two and went home, happy that he's content with his life and their memories stayed.

"Hi girls. I see that Kookie's doing a good job at taking care of you guys." Jimin smiled as he looked at them with satisfied smiles.
