Neuvillette knew the Traveler was a bold fellow. Quite bold in fact that one day, when the two of them were sitting together on a bench near the Fountain of Lucine after a small walk, the Traveler turned to ask him a question. Lumine's eyes studied Neuvillette's face for a brief moment as he turned towards her upon her calling his name. "Hm." She hummed, before leaning close and tucking a small strand of ashen-white hair behind his pointy ears. "There you go." She smiled, a small smirk on her face in contrast to her usual charming and alluring smile, "We don't want hair getting into your pretty eyes, now do we?" She teased as she stared into his slit pupils.
Neuvillette could only let out a small, 'Yes indeed..', he had never had someone be so up and about in his personal space. No that's not right. He did 𝘯𝘰𝘵 mind the fact that she was so close. He had noticed it a few times, when Lumine would advance a little bit closer to him to hear what he was saying clearly, she would often intertwine their fingers together on walks, would casually take a sip of water out of the same wine glass that he had drank from.
And he didn't mind it one bit. No, he quite enjoyed the attention that the Duchess of Fontaine was giving him. ('The Duchess of Fontaine' was the title that he came up with for her. He thinks it suits Lumine quite a lot.)

Neuvillette enjoys chatting with the Traveler. Lumine is a laidback person, that he has noticed. He could share even the darkest of his secrets and she would sit there and listen intently to his musings, adding in some points when she deemed it fit. She was a knowledgeable individual. Neuvillette was astonished that she had so many unearthed talents.
One such talent that he adored was her fighting abilities.
It was amazing to see her fight. So graceful yet so unmerciful. Her bright topaz eyes turning into a murky shade of gold as she slayed her enemies was indeed a terrifying yet attractive thing to see. "What? You scared?" Lumine smiled as she saw him staring at her with wide eyes and an agape mouth. "No, not at all. I trust that you are a good individual so, factually speaking, I am not scared of you at all." Neuvillette smiled back, gently. "I was merely admiring your fighting capability. If you were in my position, I'd say you would feel the same about yourself, Mademoiselle Lumine." He concluded, all his words were full of admiration for the short blonde.
Lumine looked quite bashful, "Why thank you Monsieur Neuvillette, your words of praise mean a lot to me." Ah, that was good to hear. He felt a fleeting sensation of pride in his chest. 'She appreciates my praise..' He quietly thought to himself on their way back home, their hands intertwined as usual.

"Mm.. Neuvillette, is it alright if I braid your hair? I promise I won't make a mess of it!" Lumine looked at him, her golden eyes staring into his own blue ones. "It would be my pleasure to let you do so, but may I ask, why the sudden request?" Neuvillette was all too ready to just go to the couch in his office where she was currently sitting and just let her do what she wanted like he was nothing but an obedient little puppy but he was too curious. "No particular reason. Your hair is super long and quite pretty so, I wanted to try braiding it." She shrugged, patting the spot on the couch. Neuvillette hummed at her answer and simply made his way to her.
The moment he sat down, Lumine's hands were on his hair. Tugging the ribbon that kept his hair together, she undid his hair carefully. Pools of ashen-white hair spilled over his face and back. The fact that he looked ethereal right now would be an understatement to Lumine.
Neuvillette leaned back onto her as she scratched his scalp, oh how he just wanted to melt into her arms and stay there for eternity, listening to her steady heartbeat and breathing in her floral scent. But alas, he could not. So he enjoyed this moment they shared. "Ah but Mademoiselle Lumine, weren't you going to braid my hair?" Neuvillette smiled softly, turning his head slightly to look back at her as she continued scratching his scalp. "Yes I did say that, but before that, I want you to forget all your troubles and rest, just for a little while." Lumine let go of his hair and cupped his cheek with her right hand.
Neuvillette's breath hitched in his throat. He noticed how Lumine's hand was hot on his cheek, it was burning, and he loved it. He placed his own hand over hers and leaned into it. Lumine stared at the Chief Justice, a high ranking individual, cuddling into her hand. He made a noise, akin to a low rumble, more so a low growl and Lumine felt shivers going through her hand. "Neuvillette.. What are you-?" Lumine's words got stuck in her throat as the Iudex rubbed his entire face onto her hand.
He was marking her. Leaving his scent on her.
Lumine's other hand went up to rub behind his ears, and he purred. Lumine watched as he mewled, a soft rumble, emitted deep from within his throat. He was indeed purring.
Lumine enjoyed this whole spiel. It was adorable, in a way. "Neuvillette?" She called sweetly and he opened his eyes. Now realizing the situation he was in, he quickly let go of her hand and moved back. Neuvillette was embarrassed beyond heaven's understanding. I mean really, who wouldn't feel embarrassed after they rubbed themselves all over their potential partner?
"I-I'm terribly sorry, I- do not know what came over myself.." Neuvillette's face was bright red as he explained, only to be shushed by Lumine's slender finger on his lips. "Neuvillette, don't worry. I quite enjoyed whatever happened right now." She smirked, a sly grin on her face.
Neuvillette wanted nothing more than to rub himself all over Lumine, leave his scent on her body so that every other Sovereign knew that she is his and only his.

Some days were hard for the Hydro Dragon. The world was a hard place to live in for humans and other creatures alike. The emotions carried through water always reached him, no matter what type of emotions they were. Love, care, despair, anger, revenge, fear, happiness, depression and so on. Everything reached him. Human emotion stirred him.
Some days are hard.
And today was a hard day for Neuvillette.
"Monsieur?" A knock pulled him back from his fleeting thoughts. "Yes, what is it Sedene?" Neuvillette answered, his voice soft. "The Traveler is here." Sedene started as she opened the door, "She is soaked to the bone due to the rain. I feel too bad to keep her out here in the main office, so if I may, may I send her into yours until the rain stops?" The little melusine tugged on the Traveler's hand as the said traveler made some futile attempts to leave. "Neuvillette- There is no need, I'll be off in a moment right when the rain-.." Lumine said, only to halt her words when she laid eyes on the tall Iudex, "..-Stops." She breathed out.
"Traveler, do not fret! Monsieur Neuvillette doesn't mind your presence! In fact, me and the others think he quite enjoys having you around!" Sedene smiled happily at Lumine. "It's quite fine Lumine. Sedene is right in what she says. I don't mind at all. You are more than welcome to stay." Neuvillette nodded his head. "Thank you Sedene, you may now leave." Sedene bopped her head up and then down and hopped towards the door.
"The rain must be quite an inconvenience for you." Neuvillette asked as he removed his coat. "Not really, I enjoy the rain. I only came into the Palais Mermonia because it was too harsh." Lumine eyed him, "Ah and Neuvillette, no need for the coat, I'll dry myself using anemo." She smiled politely. Neuvillette nodded, his face devoid of happiness. Something was up with the Chief Justice today.
He draped the coat over the large, luxurious chair and stared at her, not knowing what to say or do. "Neuvillette, is there something bothering you?" She gently asked, advancing towards the tall man. "I-" He stops. He didn't want to burden her even more with all his bottled up emotions. So he kept quite. "Alright Neuvillette, there is something wrong. Tell me." Lumine's voice became a bit more sharp but he knew she was not being cruel.
A small tear drop flowed down Neuvillette's eye and Lumine gasped, quickly rushing over to him. She embraced him, tightly. He stood still, letting more tears flow through his eyes. He held her then, crying into her. "Alright. It's alright, Neuvillette. Let it out." He didn't make any noise, his face blank as tears flowed. Lumine was there with him during that time and that's all that mattered to the Dragon Sovereign. "Hydro Dragon, Hydro Dragon, don't cry.." Ah, that witless legend. How the words felt so sweet and substantial coming out of her mouth.

He doesn't know when but after awakening from a slumber of how long? He doesn't know, he and the Traveler were on the floor of his office, his head on her lap as she combed through his hair with her fingers. He looked out the window, and saw that the rain had stopped. A bright sun shined through the covers of the window. And then, he looked up to see Lumine, staring at him with her bright eyes and a smile. Her eyes were somehow brighter than the sun and Neuvillette didn't mind if her brightness blinded him.
"You're awake." Lumine spoke, her tone soft.
"I am." Neuvillette answered, his voice was barely above a whisper.
Lumine smiled, "That's good to hear."
She placed a small kiss to his forehead. "Are you feeling better now?" She asked. Her voice laced in honey.
"Yes, I am.." He murmured softly.

The Traveler was quite a bold fellow. And that quality of hers' was one among many others that the Iudex adored.
