Work Text:

The bell hanging on the door sounded as someone pushed it open, and Kris didn't rush to look back, calmly putting down the half-done work before turning back to the counter.

‘Hey, Kris!’

‘Good morning, Bojan, same as always? Put the money in here, please. Take your time, I'll make you coffee first.’

Kris' eyes didn't stay on Bojan's face one more second, and confirmed that today's order was the same as previous ones, he turned around and started operating the coffee machine.

The aroma of coffee is slowly released as the hot water soaks the freshly ground coffee powder, when Kris first started working here, felt it was pungent-smell, but over time, he got used to the strong flavor. Kris kept quiet during the whole process, pouring the hot coffee into a paper cup, putting the lid on the cup, and bringing it to Bojan in front of him in perfect condition.

‘Your coffee is already.’

But Bojan didn't react at all, staring at Kris blankly, with the corners of his mouth raised slightly.

‘Is your zodiac sign Pisces? Maybe I need to catch you.’

‘....’

Kris was silent for a few seconds, but in order to avoid the situation becoming more awkward, he opened his mouth to answer Bojan's question.

‘No. Here is your coffee, do you need a receipt for payment?’

‘Oh, no need it.’

‘Have a good day.’

Kris didn't miss Bojan at the moment when he turned his back, smile collapsed and disappeared, the look of crying that he couldn't hold back was so endearing, and Bojan only showed this expression every time he was rejected by him. So if he looking at Bojan's face with this expression a few more times accidentally, maybe Kris will be the one who surrenders to him.

‘Ah, why do I like him?’

‘Thank you, Kris, now I know you like him, but you don't have to be so loud.’

‘Jure! Why are you here!’

‘I was just here. Bojan said hi to me when he left, and you didn't see it.’

Jure is the owner of this cafe named ‘cat’, of course, the name of the cafe was also chosen by owner, the reason is very simple, Jure's last name meaning is cat, he is a cat (just by his imagine), and he loves cats.

But here is not a cat cafe, it is just a regular coffee shop selling coffee and snacks, until now, Kris is so glad that no one mistook this place as a cat cafe.

‘Okay, that's my bad.’

‘But then again, if you liked him, why didn't you accept?’

Kris sighed loudly at Jure's question.

‘I know he seems to have a crush on me, but he always hits on me in a very frivolous and casual way, and if I say yes, doesn't it make me look like I'm so easy to be fooled?’

Well, sure enough, can feel the angry even if without seeing Kris' face.

Bojan was a regular customer in this cafe, and he always hitting on Kris when there were no other customers. Although it was not clear when he started courting Kris, and, his attitude towards other staff members was pretty normal, so from a bystander point of view, maybe the only one thing could do, um, like listening to Kris complain about anything from Bojan.

It was not the right thing to do to interfere with other people's relationships, so the best way is to go away. Jure found a reason to escape back to the kitchen, started to prepare the materials for tomorrow's, while humming a song, in anticipation of the one day Kris would be honest with herself.

It seems that this coffee shop has a lot of stories to be continued.
