"Congratulations on your another album!"
"Thank you, Xi!" Justin blushed under the beta's words. He had been in the industry for 5 years but accepting praises still never fail to fluster him.
"Apparently, your release coincides Josh release again. Just be off social media for a while, alright?"
He sighed, Josh and him work under the same company that's why it confused him how they are labeled 'rivals' when they do different kind of music. Josh is a rapper, though he produced non-rap music, he's on a different genre.
Also, Josh released music spontaneously. The guy can produce a song as fast a lightning. He worked with different artists, too. Idols, dancers, bands, groups and even another rapper. Name it, he probably had produced a song for all of 1Z's artists in all genre. It's one of their difference. He usually solely worked for his album for more or less a year since he's hands on in all aspects. Planning, song writing, producing, music video directing, merch designing until tour promotions. He's credited on all of it.
Regardless of their frequency of releases, they had overlapped for four times now. The first time they had released the same time was when he debuted. Nobody care about him stealing the number one spot during that time. The second time was on his second album. That started to piqued the interest, or a little hate, from the alpha's fans. That paused for a while when Josh didn't release anything on his third album. But when he released his previous album, that's when it started to get bad. Especially when he tried to get out of his comfort zone and produced one hip hop song. It got worse when all of the 1Z's in house producers complimented that song, except Josh.
And now, for the forth time, he's kinda scared to know what they'd be talking about him especially when the charts released it's list tomorrow.
"Do you think it'll be as bad as last year?" he nervously asked his manager.
"Well it depends on the results tomorrow, but I doubt it'll be better. Either Josh's fans will bash you, or your fans will bash Josh."
"And if it get worst?"
Xi-Anne sighed, "We probably have to talked to the higher ups."
"I don't know if I would wish to top tomorrow or not, either way I'd lost, would I?"
"I'm sorry, we really thought he wouldn't release anything since he's on tour. That alpha really loves surprising everyone. I heard Sir Pau was also surprise with this release."
"He's such a music genius. I often wonders how he can produce so many music despite his busy schedule. I have high respect for him and I hope everyone would know that."
"You're such a sweetheart. Anyway, let's call it a day. Tomorrow would surely be chaotic."
Chaotic might be an understatement but he surely would need this rest tonight.
