As Sylvie made her way to the window where all the universes blended together, her eyes locked on the spot where Victor Timely had just turned into spaghetti. If Victor hadn't thrown himself forward, it could have been Loki in his place. She flinched at the thought. She turned toward Loki who was already close to the window, and took a few steps toward him. "You're okay," she whispered to herself. Maybe we don't have much time left, but at least you're okay right now.
When Loki finally tore his eyes away from the big scary light, he looked at Sylvie. His terrified expression softened as their gazes met. A small smile appeared on her lips, just as he had in their last seconds on Lamentis. She is beautiful, he thought again. Maybe they were at the end of the whole multiverse, but all he could think about was Sylvie. "Oh, Sylvie." he said in a cracking voice. He was surprised by the expression in Sylvie's eyes. They didn't need words, he already knew what she was thinking. He brought his hands up and placed them on Sylvie's cheeks. His thumb softly caressed her cheek. "My Sylvie."
Sylvie gently placed her hands on Loki's waist. She never took her eyes from his for a second. "I'm sorry Loki." Tears began to fill her eyes, blurring her vision. She tried to fight with tears, but it was no use. A sob escaped her mouth.
"Shh..." he said, lightly touching her lips with his thumbs. The fact that they didn't have much time left hit again in that moment. For a seconds word didn't come out of his mouth. He sighed shakily. "No matter what happens to us, no matter where chaos sends us to, I will always find you. I promise. I will never stop looking for you."
They leaned their foreheads together and closed their eyes almost at the same time. For just a few seconds they enjoyed feeling the warm breeze of each other's breath on their faces.
"I know," Sylvie replied. "I'll never stop waiting for you." She leaned her head against Loki's chest as his hands slowly began to stroke her hair. Her arms wrapped tightly around him as if that would stop everything.
Loki pressed her even tighter against him as if he could protect her from the chaos. They both closed their eyes tightly now.
The light completely surrounded them. They tried to hold on even tighter as they slowly lost each other's presence. When they completely lost each other's body warmth, they began feel the darkness and loneliness with all their senses.
