Severus Tobias Snape Prince, was the name of the man he loves most in life and the man he destroyed into several pieces, and whom he wanted to create a life - a family. James and Severus recognized each other on the train to Hogwarts. They ended up in the same cabin with other students, at first they hated each other because of their particular houses and all the misunderstanding was because they thought they loved the same girl, Lilian Evans. The hatred was mutual and spread for 6 long years, until they saw that it wasn't love they felt for her. Snape ended up realizing that what he felt was not love, but rather great affection and jealousy of the people who were trying to steal his friend. He and his other Slytherin friends helped him open his eyes and see that it was from his childhood imagination, and that he was actually gay. Potter, on the other hand, was almost the same thing, he ended up discovering that it wasn't everything he wanted with Lily when he managed to date her, he also realized that it wasn't just girls that he liked and that he was attracted to boys too.
It was in the sixth year that the world of the two young people changed, after making young Snape's life hell, Potter tried to make amends with the dark-haired boy, the rascals stopped playing pranks on the boy. And with a lot of work they finally ended up becoming friends and almost at the end of the seventh year they became lovers, everything was wonderful for the couple in the beginning. After finishing school, they decided to live together and moved into the Potters' old house. James entered Auror training at the Ministry of Magic, and managed to become an Auror with Sirius Black. As for Severus, he invested in handling potions, he studied with big names at the time and also underwent Mediwizard training for a while to be able to improve his studies in potions. The young people's relationship lasted 3 years after Hogwarts, and it was on the anniversary of their relationship that James proposed to Severus, everyone was happy for the two lovers...
Everything in their relationship was going very well, every day the love between the two boys grew - they had their problems but they always solved them. The preparations for Potter and Prince's wedding were going well, the guests, the two boys got married on a September afternoon, the ceremony was held at the Princes' property. Everything was perfect for the young couple, they had been married for a year. Some still couldn't believe that they were still together and others swore up and down that Severus was with James for money, or that ex Snape had bewitched the Potter heir and two of those people were Lilian Evans and Sirius Black. The two kept filling James' head with doubts and lies, especially Evans - who insisted that she was the right woman for Potter and that he should separate from Sev.
- You know this keeps going through my head all night, he just leaves or stays locked in his fucking laboratory. He's been acting strange for a while now, always making up some excuse or giving me short answers so he can leave. - said Potter to his friend Sirius. The two Aurors had just finished another day of work, and decided to stop to drink some fire whiskey.
I'll say it again, it was a bad choice to stay with Snape. You have nothing in common and look at him and look at you, you have nothing in common and he's definitely cheating on you. I have never, ever trusted the snotty man and not to mention that he is definitely messing with the Dark Arts, just look at his friends. - said Black, taking another sip of his drink.
- I told you not to call him that, he has a name Sirius. And another, he is a scientist, and in this field you have to know some things about the Dark Arts, even in our work we do that. He doesn't betray me.... - that last sentence stuck in Potter's head, the damn doubt.
-So he lives in the laboratory and doesn't say anything, it's normal, he lives at Malfoy's house and has secrets with my idiot brother. And just for the record, none of those in the "intimate" circle are any good. Open your head, Pontas, there's some shit he's hiding. Ok. How many times did he leave without warning and come back hours later, and his cuddles with Regulus and his looks. And I swear that no matter how sacred he used some potion on you, like out of nowhere you started to like him and it was like that anything. That snake bewitched you, only you who are blind cannot see. - he said with conviction, when he said this James got up from his chair, irritated with his friend.
-Shut up, that's enough, Padfoot. I'm fed up with this shit, ENOUGH, FUCKING ENOUGH. - irritated.
Look at you, that treacherous snake changed you by poisoning your mind with its lies. You're fighting with me like never before, I'm being a good friend and protecting you, don't come and cry to me later. When you recover, come and talk to me. - he got up from the table irritably and walked away, leaving Potter alone with his thoughts.
Potter returned home but his mind was elsewhere, Sirius' words tormented him, he knew that Severus would never betray him... but the doubt remained. When he entered the house he didn't see Sev, maybe he was in his lab or sleeping, lately that was his schedule, work and sleep and going out. James started looking for Severus throughout the house, room after room and then his anxiety hit...he couldn't find his husband anywhere. He heard a noise coming from the attic, with the wand in his hand he went to the right place in the house and it was there that he found his fiancé, Severus going through old things from his school days.
- Hi love, I didn't see you arrive. - replied the brunette, seeing James enter the attic, he stood up and greeted James with a kiss, which was returned willingly.
- I was looking for you, you didn't answer me. And what are you doing here, there are only old things here. - said James looking around and only seeing mess and cobwebs.
Sorry I didn't hear you. And there's not just clutter here, there are good things and especially memories. - Severus bent down near a trunk, James followed him - I was doing nothing and then I heard a noise, come and see what it was... I think it was rats. Then I ended up looking at things and was entertained, remember that. - showing a photo.
- Our first Halloween, I had it in your head for weeks so we could go dressed up together. - he laughed at a photo with all his friends dressed up, he loved that day...it was the first Halloween as a couple.
- Don't remind me, but it was fun. Hahahah. - the couple stayed there looking at the old photos among other things, the two only left when one of the elves came to call them.
The couple had dinner in a pleasant and comforting atmosphere, James had forgotten Sirius' words for a minute. Being with Severus by her side everything was perfect, he hated himself for thinking badly of his husband. After having dinner Sev said he wanted to talk seriously with James, at first James had doubts... but that soon passed, after his husband told him the truth about being distant lately. Severus confessed that he was seeing someone, not an adult but a child he met at the orphanage. He said that he and his friend Charity went together to do a charity project in one of the wizarding orphanages that she helped, where he ended up meeting little Harry, who was just 6 years old. The boy had no one, he came from an abusive home, his mother had died and his father was an alcoholic who ended up dying in a bar fight. And the more he appeared there, the more he became attached to the boy, for Prince Potter - Harry was perfect, a boy's love. Severus ended up identifying with the boy and the two ended up building a friendship, every single day Severus was going to the orphanage to teach the children about the wizarding world and to be able to see Harry.
- I know we've already talked about having children, and I was the one who of course said it was early. But if you go there just to see him, he is so small and suffered so much. It makes you want to squeeze him and not let go, I'm not telling people to adopt at the last minute... but if you knew each other it would make me so happy. - said Severus with tears in his eyes, just remembering Harry made him want to cry. James stayed quiet for a few seconds, processing everything his husband had confessed and in the end he ended up laughing.
You have no idea how happy I am to hear that, I'm not going to lie, I was scared that you had cheated on me. - James confessed, Severus was not at all happy with his husband's words.
- What, you're kidding, aren't you? It would be easier for me to kill someone than to cheat on you with someone else. -he said angrily.
- Baby, I'm really sorry, it's just that this whole situation and you know what a bit of an idiot I am and... and... there's also Sirius and Lily. - James said everything the other two said to him, that's when Severus became even angrier. The smaller Potter got up and called someone on the Phone. James just heard Remus Lupine Black's name and someone shouting on the other end of the line. Potter tried not to laugh, if Sirius didn't already like Severus now - he would hate him for bringing Remus into the matter.
- Okay, now let's see if he doesn't stop with his graces. You stop laughing too, you think you're free, you're an idiot. - he roared irritably, James swallowed hard.
Soon after this event, the couple ended up arguing and had a serious conversation. In the end they made peace and realized that they were both wrong, Sev for omitting things from James and James for not agreeing with her husband. Some time later the couple went to the orphanage to meet Harry, within 3 months James was just like Severus and he already loved Harry. The adoption papers came soon after, there were no problems - as no one came for little Harry. Little Prince Potter was adopted on a Thursday, when they arrived home they heard a party for the new member of the family. Harry loved every second he spent with his new parents and family, he thanked every god that existed for putting the couple in his life.
