His eyes became sadder when tall boy laughed with his friend in the other corner of the canteen and leaned closer to him. Sunoo's hands closed in a fist and tighten the grip.
- He's not even yours. - thought Kim and sighed with exhaustion, and he felt like giving up his love was the best option knowing that he has no chances. - And will never be.
- Hey. - boy next to him, Jungwon, poked his arm with his finger and made Sunoo look at him. - Don't be sad because I will be.
- Sorry. - Kim cracked a smile. - I was just thinking, I'm not sad.
- Who are you lying to, huh ? - Jungwon rose his eyebrow with consternation. - You know that I can read your body language, we've been friends since childhood...you are lying to me, and you're sad. Now you have no way out, you have to tell me what's going on.
Sunoo felt caught. He now had no other option than to tell his friend what's going on. He sighed and nodded.
- So... - he quickly looked at the boy in the other corner, who brushed his hair while listening to his friend. - There is this boy... he's perfect in every way. I kinda like him but I can't approach him because he's always with his friend. End of the story.
- And you're really sad because of this guy ? - Jungwon wanted to be sure so that's why he asked again and when he got the answer which was a nod he smiled. - You need to show me this guy.
Sunoo agreed and squished his paper cup when he heard THIS laugh. He looked over his shoulder and saw Sunghoon almost laying on his friend shoulder. That hurts.
- Let's go. - Jungwon grabbed Sunoo's hand and dragged him out of the canteen.
When they were walking pass, Sunghoon and his friend, Jake, Kim locked eyes with this tall, perfect boy for a second. One second was enough to make younger feel butterflies in his stomach, almost making him feel sick.
"Please don't be in love with someone else."
Won smiled when he saw blush on his friend's cheeks and left the room together. He knew who had found a place in Sunoo's heart.
- You know you choose the hottest guy in this school, right? - asked Jungwon when they left canteen and headed to the exit. - And you're not the only person in school who likes him.
- I know. - Sunoo whispered and nodded, knowing exactly that he was in a "no exit" situation. - It's so fucked up that I don't want it.
- Yah ! Don't give up. - Jungwon encouraged his friend with a head pat.
- Why not ? - Sunoo sat on his desk in the classroom and sighed, he really was thinking about giving up his love. - We're not living in a book world where a popular boy chooses the quiet girl out of all school. That's not this, Won. And he has his friend, Jake. They're really close, sometimes I want to punch him in the face just to make him move away from Hoon. And the worst thing is, what if he is into Jake ? You saw them in the canteen ? Hoon was that close to his friend that I thought he might kiss him there. I really don't know what to do.
- Don't give up. - Sunoo looked at his friend with a confused look in his big eyes. - The only thing you can do now is not give up. If Universe wanted you to fall for him, then go along. No one knows if this is supposed to be your happy ending or a lesson that will lead to a happy ending. And you can't choose, you need to follow. So now... don't be sad, don't give up and just go with the flow.
- Since when have you been this clever, huh ? - asked Sunoo jokingly, taking his seat on the chair.
- You know... Jay happened. - Jungwon shrugged his shoulders with a smile and flash of blush on his cheeks. - And it wasn't easy for both of us.
- Yeah, I know that story. - Kim nodded. - You were lucky that you hadn't given up. Now you enjoy your relationship to the fullest.
- I will kick you if you don't stop this bullshit. - warned, Won with a smile. - It's not that he rejected you. He doesn't even know you like him. So stop panicking and focus on your work.
Sunoo nodded and opened his history book. Maybe Won was right, nothing was overweighted, so why not try ?
