Summary
Akira Shindou seems like your normal fourteen-year-old middle school student. His hair has frosted blue-white tips and is stylishly mussed. His green eyes are bright, looking somehow larger or more vibrant than most of his classmates', especially in his dark school uniform.
But there are a few things different about him. First, he has a reputation as a bad boy, despite having gentle-even androgynous-features. Rumors say he's been kicked out of two schools for fighting and once almost killed a teacher, but the judge let him go. He is small, quiet and brooding, his face always without emotion except for a rare flash in his eyes. Despite this, or perhaps because of it, a large number of girls (and even a couple of guys) are attracted to his look or his attitude or want to "help" (read: fix) him. He generally ignores them. He always has some excuse, though, to avoid after-school clubs or activities. Many of his classmates consider him emo and don't question him any further, for which Akira is constantly grateful. He doesn't want anyone else to die.
