This past week had been a pretty busy one for Felix. On top of his usual individual and group dance practices, he decided to add in some vocal training because of a newfound desire to improve his singing. As a result, he was spending less time at the dorm which consequently meant also spending less time with little Hyunjin.
That morning Hyunjin woke up little, and being the good boy he was, he immediately went to tell his caregiver like he knew he was supposed to. Opening the door to Felix's room softly Hyunjin saw that Felix was already awake and was sitting on his bed putting his socks on. Felix, hearing the creak of the door, looked up to see who it was and smiled seeing it was Hyunjin.
"Good morning hyung. Did you need something?" Felix asked, wondering why Hyunjin showed up randomly to his room when he knew he didn't have any schedules today. "no hyungie, m' jinnie." Hyunjin stated while pouting a bit, not wanting to be called hyung. Felix softly chuckled and opened his arms from where he sat on the bed. Hyunjin got the hint and happily ran into his caregivers arms to receive the hug. Breaking the hug Felix looked at Hyunjin.
"Daddy needs to go now, okay jinnie? I have to leave for vocal training, I'll have Minho hyungie take care of you while I'm gone, okay? I promise I'll be back soon." Felix said apologetically. Felix was glad Hyunjin was little, but he knew little jinnie didn't like it when he left which made him feel a little guilty.
“bu- but jinnie wanna pway wif daddy not minnie.” Hyunjin whined before pouting his bottom lip out towards Felix, hoping the mentally older would choose to stay to play with him over going to practice.
“I’m sorry baby. I would love to play with you, but I can’t miss my vocal training.” Felix said while standing up, Hyunjin being transferred from his lap to his hip in the process. “Let’s go see if Minho hyungie can watch you while I’m gone, okay?” Hyunjin didn’t have much of a say in this matter considering Felix was already on his way to the kitchen where they both knew Minho could be found.
After making sure Minho was fine with watching Hyunjin, Felix left.
After Felix, Minho is probably one of hyunjins favorite caregivers. He was always willing to cuddle with him, play with him, and the best part was that he always snuck Hyunjin some candy before dinner. Usually Hyunjin would be happy to spend time with Minho, but all he wanted now was his main caregiver.
To Hyunjin, it felt like this past week Felix had been ignoring him. It made him really upset because he just wanted to spend time with his daddy but instead he got his hyungie.
All Hyunjin wants is Felix's attention, so he figured if Minho can't handle him then he'd have to call Felix to come back and he'd get the attention he wanted.
Currently, Minho was sitting on the couch scrolling through his phone notifications while Hyunjin was playing with his toys on the floor. They were sitting there happy and content for almost half an hour before Minho had to use the bathroom.
"I'm gonna go use the bathroom real quick, okay Jinnie? Stay here, I'll be back in a minute." Minho said while standing up from the couch. Once Hyunjin heard the bathroom door close and lock he started on his master plan.
He got up, took one of the dining room chairs, and with all the strength he could muster, he carried it to the door and placed it just right, to the point where Minho (hopefully) couldn't get out. Once finished Hyunjin ran to his toy box and tipped the entire thing over, watching as all of the stuffies and blocks fell onto the ground with a thud. Wanting to make more of a mess, Hyunjin proceeded to grab his markers and started drawing little pictures on the walls.
Not long after Hyunjin heard the door handle to the bathroom Minho was in start jiggling, he could also hear Minho's noise of confusion when the door wouldn't open. Knocking on the door, Minho called out "Jinnie, sweetheart, can you get someone to help me open this door, I think it's stuck."
Hyunjin froze.
He didn't think this far ahead.
What should he do? Should he go get one of his hyungies or should he just ignore Minho and continue drawing on the walls. After a moment of contemplation Hyunjin shouted "no! minnie hyungie no come ouwt!"
Minho was in shock. Hyunjins never behaved like this before.
"Hyunjin, were you the one who locked Minnie hyungie in the bathroom?" Minho asked sternly, already getting tired of hyunjins behavior.
"no! dori mad dat hyungie forgetted deir birfday so dey wocked minnie hyungie in da bafroom! jinnie do nofin!" Hyunjin yelled certain that his lie was believable. Minho let out a frustrated sigh as he rested his forehead against the bathroom door, tired of everything he's had to deal with even though it's only been a couple of minutes.
"Hwang Hyunjin if you don't open this door right now I'm calling your daddy and he's not gonna be happy when I tell him what you've done!" Minho yelled, pulling out his phone, getting ready to call Felix.
Hyunjin froze. This was what he wanted, he wanted his daddy home, but he didn't want his daddy to be angry with him. He knew he should let Minho out, but if he did he would see the big mess he left out and become more angry than he already was and Hyunjin didn't want that, but he also didn't want his daddy coming home angry. While Hyunjin was thinking about the situation in his head Minho had already called Felix, who was now on his way back.
"Your daddy's on his way home now Hyunjin." Minho said silently hoping Felix comes back quickly so he can leave the bathroom.
About ten minutes later the front door opened and Felix came walking into the dorm, a look of shock and disappointment made its way onto his face when he saw the mess Hyunjin made. The second Hyunjin saw the look on Felix's face he felt his eyes start to burn with tears.
Without saying a word Felix walked over to the bathroom and let Minho free. Once Minho was out of the bathroom and saw everything Hyunjin did, he looked completely flabbergasted. Felix walked over to Hyunjin, grabbed his arm in a gentle yet firm manner, and started leading him towards hyunjins worst nightmare.

Once Hyunjin was placed in the corner Felix spoke.
"I don't know what's gotten into you, but you need to quit acting like a brat and stay here to think about what you did wrong until my timer goes off." After hearing those words come out of his caregivers mouth Hyunjin started crying silently to himself afraid that if he cried loudly that Felix would punish him further.
This was when Hyunjin truly realized how badly his plan failed. Hyunjin had genuinely thought that when Felix came back he was gonna be receiving cuddles and kisses, not the time out corner.
He just wanted to spend time with his daddy, but to him it felt like all he received was the cold shoulder. While staring at the wall in front of him, he could hear Felix and Minho's conversation about everything that Hyunjin said to Minho which, feeling the burn of embarrassment, made him cry even harder than before, something Hyunjin didn't think was possible.
Hearing the timer go off Felix quickly grabbed his phone to turn it off.
"Hyunjin come over here please." Felix said while simultaneously patting his lap. For the first time ever Hyunjin was reluctant to get on the caregivers lap. But, afraid of what would happen if he didn't, Hyunjin complied and sat on Felix's lap flinching when the latter wrapped his arms around hyunjins waist.
"Hyunjin, I need you to tell me what you did wrong." Felix spoke softly. Hyunjin looked away from his caregivers eyes as he spoke "jinnie wocked minnie hyungie in da bafwoom an' den made a mess wif da toy box an' den cowored on da wawws when jinnie no suppoze to." Hyunjin shakily said, still crying while clutching onto the end of his shirt.
"Good boy Jinnie, now do you mind telling me why you did those things? You know everything you did was wrong, and I know that this behavior isn’t normal for you, so why did you do it?" Felix asked, rubbing his littles back in a soothing manner causing Hyunjin to relax more into his hold. "jinnie miss daddy. daddy awways gone an' jinnie awone, jinnie jus wan'ned daddy's 'tentions." Hyunjin felt relieved to get his feelings off of his chest. Hearing this made Felix feel a little guilty, his baby just needed him yet he wasn't there.
"Daddy's sorry for not being here baby, I understand that you wanted daddy's attention but you can't be doing stuff like this to gain it sweets." Felix said softly while petting hyunjins hair. Hyunjin quietly nodded his head in agreement, his crying being reduced to soft sniffles. "jinnie pwomise to cwean up daddy."
Noticing the littles eyes were continuously drooping down from crying himself to exhaustion, Felix stood up placing Hyunjin on his hip, and started walking to his room, "I know you will baby, but let's do that later ok? I think a nap and some cuddles is what you need right now." Felix said. Once Felix reached his room he changed their clothes and laid Hyunjin on the bed. Soon Felix got in next to him and wrapped his little in his arms.
"Sleep tight baby, I love you so much." Felix said while running his hands through his littles soft locks.
"jinnie lubs daddy too."
