Full Moon

Summary:

This isn’t what he wanted. Peter wanted to show Miguel that he was there for him and that he could handle the stress of helping him after his transformation. Now he was going to get killed by his boyfriend and tomorrow Miguel was going wake up and bits of Peter were going to be all over the walls.

Work Text:

“Dios mío, ¿eres estúpido o sordo?”, Miguel yelled in frustration as he paced in the

“I don't know what it is that you said, but my mind isn’t changing. I’m staying right here this weekend and there’s nothing you can do about it.”, Peter shot back, equally frustrated.

See, the normally happy couple is in the middle of a row right now. They had been dating for nearly two years with Peter knowing about Miguel’s furry little secret since two months into the relationship. It was a fond memory of Miguel’s.

After Miguel had finally gotten the courage to tell his boyfriend about the transformation that overtakes his body every month, Peter answered with “Does that mean I should get you a dog collar when we get married or will rings still be okay?”. They had a long night after that. Besides Peter now knowing why Miguel locked himself in his home every full moon, nothing has changed between the couple.

At least that was until now. Peter had come by to drop off some of his Aunt May’s Shrimp Alphrado, as he had done since finding out about Miguel’s transformation. As Miguel becomes quite ravenous after a cycle. Instead of leaving soon after, however, Peter told his boyfriend that he would be staying with him for the full moon. Miguel had thought he was kidding at first, telling him that he needed to get better at his jokes. But once he realized Peter wasn’t joking and was in fact being serious, Miguel had begun to argue with the man.

“What don’t you understand, Peter? It’s dangerous, I’m dangerous!”, Miguel yelled, his arms flailing in frustration

“No you aren’t”, Peter scoffed

“Yes, I am! It would only take one wrong move for me to kill you!”, the man snarled, sounding quite like the animal that possessed him.

“And I’m trying to tell you that you wouldn’t do that! Not to me, that isn’t you.”, Peter starts off with a yell but gets quiet as he speaks. Peter stands and cups Miguel’s face, smiling when the taller man leans into his touch.

“What am I supposed to do if I hurt you?”Miguel was damn near in tears at this point and his voice broke a little, “I can’t lose you.”

That alone was almost enough for Peter to give in, but he held steadfast. “You won’t. I know you won’t.”

Miguel didn’t answer, choosing to remain silent. Peter decided to change tactics and put on his best puppy dog eyes he could manage. “Please, Miguel? Migs? Miggy? The love of my life? Mi Amour?”Peter continued with his ridiculous nicknames for almost an entire minute before Miguel finally broke.

“¡Bien vale! ¡Solo callate!”, The man damn near yelled, his face flushed from embarrassment

Peter smiled wide, “Really?”

“Yes, damn it! Just… you better stay in a different room. Away from me. Okay?”Miguel looked at him with eyes full of concern.

“Yeah, okay. Is there anything else I need to know?”Peter asked, he was beginning to pace now. Muttering off things he might need just in case.

“No, just stay away, no matter what you hear.”, Miguel ordered.

Peter nodded and smiled. The smaller man gave Miguel a tight hug and a kiss on the cheek. “I promise.”

Miguel still seemed uneasy with the situation but returned the hug.

~The next day~

It was nearing midnight and Miguel was settled in his bedroom. He was naked, he wasn’t willing to sacrifice his clothes, and nervous. In the living room, Miguel could hear the TV going with some kind of movie Peter was watching. Even after Miguel had finally agreed to let Peter stay the weekend, Miguel couldn’t shake the feeling that he was going to hurt him. He didn’t know what he was going to do if he woke up tomorrow and Peter was hurt or worse.

Before Miguel could start imagining worse scenarios, his body began to convulse. It didn’t matter that the man had been going through this since he was 9, the pain of the transformation was nothing he could ever get used to. He yelled in agony as his bones and muscles shuffled around in his body. Through all this, Mihuel could hear Peter yelling if he was okay.

“S-stay out!”Miguel growled before doubling over in pain.

Despite his pleas and warnings, Peter busted the door open. As he did, Miguel’s transformation was completed, and in front of Peter laid an eight-foot humanoid wolf with reddish-brown fur.

Peter’s heart quickened as he took in the site, “M-Miguel? Are you okay?”, he asked as he racked down to touch the wolf.

Just as his hand touched Miguel’s side, the wolf’s eyes burst open. Miguel snapped at the man’s hand. Peter was quick to pull his hand away and quickly began to back away from the wolf. Miguel growled, his red eyes flashing as he bared his teeth.

“H-hey Migs. Don’t you know who I am? It’s me, Peter!”Peter said quietly, trying his best to seem as friendly and non-threatening as possible.

Miguel didn’t answer, unable to understand what the man was saying and only seeing him as a threat. He growled and began advancing on the man, ready to lunge at him.

Peter began backing out of the room, “C-come on Miguel. Don’t you recognize me, I’m your boyfriend.”

Miguel continued to advance on the man, thick saliva was dripping from his maw now. Peter tried not to freak out, but tears were streaming down his eyes. This isn’t what he wanted. Peter wanted to show Miguel that he was there for him and that he could handle the stress of helping him after his transformation. Now he was going to get killed by his boyfriend and tomorrow Miguel was going wake up and bits of Peter were going to be all over the walls and-

Peter’s thoughts were cut off by Miguel lunging at him. Just as his teeth were about to sink into Peter’s arm, Miguel paused.

“M-Miguel?”, Peter asked in shock as Miguel began sniffing all over him

What is going on? Peter wondered. Once Miguel was satisfied with smelling him, he scooped Peter up and walked back to the room. Miguel placed Peter gently on the bed and slid in next to him. Peter was clueless as the wolf placed a giant arm around him and pulled him close.

Peter tried moving a little but was met with a growl in his ear until he stopped. There was something wet and slimy that touched his face.

“Did…did you just lick me?”, Peter asked. He didn’t get a reply, though he didn’t really expect one. Moments later the sound of deep snoring filled the room.

He must’ve gone to sleep, Peter thought, but now what? He tried moving again but to no avail, he was stuck for the night.

Well…it could be worse
