Chapter Text
Mavis felt hungry and went into her house.
"Father, I'm hungry," sighed Mavis. Dracula chuckled and made wormcakes with his powers. "Thanks Father!"
Dracula and Mavis had a wormcake shop in their small village.
"Wormcakes! Get your wormcakes here!" yelled Mavis. A gingerbread man came along. "Hello sir, what would you like?"
"Two wormcakes with syrup," said the gingerbread man. Dracula made the wormcakes and gave them to the man. "Two coins."
Dracula put his hand on his chin, then said, "Three if I win an arm wrestle."
"You're a fun one huh," said the gingerbread man with a smirk. He and Dracula put their arms on the table and started to arm wrestle. "Argh!"
Dracula ended up winning as the gingerbread man sighed and gave Dracula an extra coin.
"You're great at arm wrestling Father!" chuckled Mavis.
Later
Mavis and Dracula went back home on their horse.
"We got 50 coins today coins Father!" said Mavis, looking inside a sack. "Mother would've been happy."
"She's looking down at us Mavy-Wavy," said Dracula. A family of werewolves suddenly stood in front of Dracula's horse. "Why hello..."
"Um, do you guys have any food?" asked one of the werewolves named Wayne nervously. "We've been traveling for days without any."
"Sure, we have wormcakes," said Mavis, getting some out of a box. She put the wormcakes on a plate and gave it to Wayne. "Here."
"Do you mind if we get your names?" asked Dracula.
"I'm Wayne, and the woman beside me is my wife Wanda. The older pup is Winnie, and the younger pup is Sunny," said Wayne.
"I'm Dracula, and this is my daughter Mavis."
"Do you guys have a house?" asked Mavis worriedly.
"No... Our house burned down, and we're trying to find a new home," whimpered Wanda.
"But everyone keeps rejecting us," said Winnie.
Mavis and Dracula looked at each other, then smiled.
"You four can live with us," said Dracula.
"Oh no! It's fine! We'll find a place and set up a camp," chuckled Wayne nervously.
"Our house has plenty of room for all of you!" chuckled Mavis.
The werewolf family agreed to stay with Mavis and Dracula and went to the house.
The next day
The vampires and werewolves were at the shop.
"Are you guys popular?" asked Wayne.
"Kind of," said Mavis. Two flesh golems and two invisible people came along. "Hello! What would you like to order?"
"Actually, we were wondering if you could give us some coins," chuckled the flesh golem man nervously.
"Sorry, we don't give away coins," whimpered Mavis.
"Try somewhere else," said Wanda.
The flesh golem woman suddenly begged on the ground.
"PLEASE! We've been trying to get a house big enough for the four of us!" cried the flesh golem woman.
"Eunice! Don't overreact like last time!" growled the invisible woman.
Dracula came out and saw the beggars.
"What's going on out here?" asked Dracula.
"Nothing, just a couple of beggars," sighed Wayne.
"Sorry, we'll go beg somewhere else," said the invisible man.
"Poor people, they're just like us," whimpered Wanda. "Looking for a home."
"Why don't you guys live with us?" chuckled Dracula.
"Really? That's wonderful!" said the flesh golem man. "The name's Frank by the way. The woman begging is my wife Eunice, and the two invisible people are Griffin and Crystal."
The monsters went back home later at sunset. They suddenly saw two mummies eating from a trash can.
"Ew, what are those two doing?" asked Winnie in disgust.
The mummies stopped digging in the trash can and looked at their bugs.
"These bugs are gonna be tasty Murray!" chuckled the mummy woman.
"I can't wait to try 'em," said Murray. Before the mummies could eat their bugs, Dracula took them away. "HEY! What's the big idea?"
"Yeah! That was our dinner!" growled the mummy woman.
"You guys need something healthy and nutritious. Why don't you guys come to our house?" asked Dracula.
"I guess... We've had bugs for a while," whimpered Murray. "The name's Murray, and that's my girlfriend Mummette."
As the monsters reached the house, Mavis approached her father to talk to him.
"Dad, do you think the house can fit everyone?" whimpered Mavis. "I know you want to be generous, but I'm just asking."
"Of course it can! It'll be a little crowded with 12 people, but we have just enough room!" chuckled Dracula.
Dracula prepared food with his powers for everyone in the house. They enjoyed themselves with their food supply, but it was crowded.
There was only one bedroom with a huge bed barely fitting 12 people. Frank and Murray would often struggle for the blanket at the end of the bed, while Eunice, Mummette, Wanda, and Crystal usually fought
for the middle.
The monster family was all good until about a week later.
They were at the shop selling wormcakes to people.
"A wormcake for a coin!" cackled a man who seemed buff. "I'm strong enough, so don't try to arm wrestle me."
The man turned out to be about Sunny's size.
"He doesn't seem strong to me," grumbled Eunice, crossing her arms.
"Yeah, he's just a buff dwarf," said Mummette.
"Father, why don't you arm wrestle with his dwarf? It looks like he wants to," chuckled Mavis.
"Take the wormcake," sighed Dracula.
"Thanks!" chuckled the dwarf, grabbing the plate with his hands and running off.
The monsters looked worriedly at Dracula.
"Why didn't you try arm wrestling him Drac?" asked Frank worriedly.
"Sigh, I just didn't feel like it," whimpered Dracula. When the monsters got home, there was no food in the pantry. "All right, who left an empty plate in the pantry."
"She did," grumbled the girls, pointing to each other.
"Welp, looks like I'll have to use this plate," said Dracula. He tried using his powers, but it didn't work. "Oh no... Looks like I'm drained out."
"What does that mean?" asked Winnie.
"There's no more food," whimpered Dracula.
"AHHH!" screamed Murray.
The monsters cried as Dracula looked down and sighed.
"We have no money, we're hungry, and we have no food to eat," whimpered Wanda.
"How are we going to get money?!" shivered Griffin.
