Work Text:
Wandering. This is what Samurais know. They're never in a place for too long and never stop moving across the endless plains and seas. They´re always moving to sharpen their minds and to never dull their blades. They take down foes with a swipe of their coarsed swords and drink to their delights under the stars.
It is seldom they set down their blades and settle down in a place they could call home. However when they do, its to start another journey of their lives. Though sometimes, they have a special person waiting for them when they do choose to settle or when they come around.
This is how it was for Kaedehara Kazuha. His wandering heart could almost settle for none. He was a wanderer by heart. Nothing could deter him from his travels, He had things he wanted to see and things he wanted to experience before he had to slow his adventures to the race of time.
That is until his heart found itself opening to a special maiden. She was from one of the regions he traversed recently and the moment they met, Kazuha knew he could always return home to her.
The letters they exchanged would always brighten even the darkest of his travels and soon the Maple colored Samurai would whisper to the winds that her days would be filled with joy and that the breeze would lift his scent to bring her a wishful heart.
So here he is. He has found himself on the front steps of her home once more. He loved surprising her with his visits, just seeing her face brighten always lifted the regrets from his heart.
He hates that he must leave her though, Her eyes fill with worry and loneliness and she would hug him tight and wish him joyous travels and a safe return home.
But when the door opens and her eyes are filled with bright stars once more, he feels it's worth it for the stories he tells to her and the intimate times they share.

¨Must you leave..?¨ you ask softly as you lay on your stomach, arms crossed cross on Kazuha´s legs. ¨I'm sorry my dear..My heart yearns for the Journey. I must not allow my blade to be dulled by the comforts of a slow paced life. But just know that I´ll always come home to you..¨ He says brushing the hair out of your eyes.
He was stretched out on your bed with his back up against the wall. Soft melodies of a leaf would make its way into your ears everyone in awhile as you both looked out your grade windows at the sunset together. It was quite a peaceful atmosphere as you spent the last few days together before he would have to leave again.
¨I know..Itś just..nevermind..¨ You say quietly as you turn your head away a little.
Kazuha let the leaf blow into the open window and slowly turned your head back to him. ¨Don't be that way..I know you miss me when I'm away..I know how it feels to have your heart yearn for something that is never permanent..Don´t worry my fleeting dove.. There will come a day when I leave your side no more and we shall be together in the face of eternity..but until that day comes I must ask of you to be patient and await my returns into your open arms.¨
You can't be mad at him. It's impossible to be, especially when he speaks nothing but the truth yet it somehow soothes your aching heart. You would want nothing more than to have him in your arms whenever you opened your eyes, but you would also hate to deter him from his travels.
¨Then I shall await that day with all of my heart.¨ You say as he leans down to kiss you. It's quiet for a moment. The breeze of the wind swishing your curtains slowly and the soft murmur of birds in the trees. You wouldn't change anything about these tranquil moments. You just wish they would be around forever.
Breaking the kiss he gives you a soft smile and gently plays with your hair as he looks out the window once more.
Thinking for a while, you move your hands to an intimate area. This closeness you share is nothing compared to the late nights you spent over the years.
Kazuha says nothing except sharing an amused look with you before looking back out towards the window enjoying the breeze.
Boredom. One of life's chances to amuse yourself. And amused you shall be.
