"Aren't you tired? Why do I have to stay and teach you?" Doyoung groggily complains, sitting on the floor with his palms as support, head tilted back. He feels the slight droplets of sweat down his forehead along the soak of his shirt, but he can't help looking in disdain when Junghwan seemed a condition worse.
Because Doyoung can't understand Junghwan sometimes.
Junghwan takes a glance at Doyoung who's just closing his eyes in distress, but he refuses to answer the simple question, as if coy. He replies, "why not?" with a cunning smile plastered on his face. "Hyung, is it like this, or this again?"
Doyoung groaned louder than he'd thought, an accidental glare directed at Junghwan, brows shrieveling in discontentment. Because it's so close to midnight, and on top of continuous practices piled on one another, they have schedules making him want to pry his brains out. He's so exhausted. How can Junghwanㅡan idol juggling career and educationㅡplay there so happily like the dark circles on his eyes weren't a sign of crumbling mental health practically leading to his ultimate death?
"I don't know," Doyoung sarcastically replies back. "What do you think?"
Junghwan shoots daggers at his hyung.
"Okay, okay. I'm sorry, don't be mad, hyung." Junghwan changes his tensed expressions when he relaxes his muscles, cooing at the older who weakly pushed the maknae as he tried getting closer in an attempt to embrace a playful hug. Junghwan pouted, trying to make up for his mistakes by acting all cutesy, that resulted in Doyoung feeling the need to puke. "Here, let me kiss you to make you feel better."
Junghwan tries to jokingly gain control of Doyoung with palms settled on his shoulders, coming in for what was an attack of supposed kisses, but Doyoung forcefully swats those big hands away and shows his displeasure. He shoves the boy away.
"What the hell?" He scoots away. Doyoung may have accidentally taken it a little too seriously.
Mostly because he was pretty much between the borders of dreamland and reality that he doesn't know what's real anymore, and secondly Doyoung doesn't like how Junghwan's lips are awfully chapped that he wonders if the man has ever known of a lip balm's existence to cure those peeling bits of skin.
If Junghwan wants to kiss Doyoung, he could at least help himself with a layer of moisture.
Because Doyoung won't lie to himselfㅡthose lips sure have potential.
So he tells him softly, "your lips are too chapped," almost too nonchalantly, because it's not like Doyoung expected himself actually anticipating kiss.
Or perhaps he was. Doyoung didn't know.
"Huh?" Junghwan paused. The older got up on his two feet, walking over to his bag and fished in for an item. From the distance, Junghwan can see that he pulls out a small tube, hastily going over to the maknae and kneeling back down where they're eye level, and he opens the tube of the lip balm stick. "Lip balm, huh. I don't needㅡ"
But he can't help it. Junghwan trails off, silencing himself when Doyoung leans in, a thumb placed gently on his chin, nudging it upwards as he carefully applies it on Junghwan's lips. The younger's eyes were set keen, doing nothing but refusing to break the gaze he held in Doyoung, allowing the man's control over where he couldn't tell between his usual submission or his mind haywire when they're in this position.
Not especially when the older licked his lips as he slowly and steadily works his way, nor when their eyes meet at a point and it shares an untold story secret.
As Doyoung finishes, he smiles pleasingly, before applying it on his own lips quite seductively, and closing the stick with a click to hand it over to Junghwan who sat there in a trance. His mind blanked out, television static.
"It's strawberry flavoured. Keep it."
Junghwan hesitantly reached out. "Thanks?" He utters under a breath, because that's the one he always sees Doyoung wear like a lucky charm of sort.
"Welcome," was all Doyoung ever replied when he retreats and goes over to his belongings, retrieving them. He slung the bag around his shoulder, turning back with a hand around the doorknob. Doyoung looked down at Junghwan who sat at a distance one last time. He couldn't help the chuckle escaped from his throat. "Kiss me when your lips are better."
He teasingly winks, but Junghwan manages to catch a glimpse of how the smirk that followed by didn't seem too teasing as supposed.
And that's all Junghwan heard as the other walks out the room, closing the door behind him.
Now the student is still in place, because he remembers it quite clearly.
There's not much guarantee.
But he guessed it's worth keeping a mental note on that afterall.
