Work Text:
When Hanzo invited him to watch movies in his room, Jesse expected romantic movies. He wanted to hug his beloved Japanese man and whisper sweet words in his ear, caress him and kiss him... And maybe if the night ended well, have a little "action under the sheets" but Hanzo… Hanzo didn't want to see romantic movies.
“‘The Boogeyman’!" Hanzo welcomed him into the room, putting the phone in his face, “‘a widowed father fears losing his two daughters too. But what he doesn't know is that... He's very close to doing it’!”
“O-oh!” was his only response. Jesse didn't expect to be greeted at the door like this, he didn't even know what to say.
Hanzo didn't notice his surprise. He was too excited to see that movie with his boyfriend.
The Asian man looked at his phone again with a smile, he seemed to really want to watch that movie and Jesse noticed it before he continued speaking:
“Genji watched this movie with Angela yesterday and he said that Angela doesn't want to sleep with the light off.” He walked a few steps with his eyes on the mobile screen, “I'm sure my brother can't sleep with the light off too, he was always very scared by horror movies., but I’m very surprised that Angela is scared by a horror movie.” He said sincerely, “It must be very good!...”
“So… Do you want to see a horror movie today?”
The Japanese man looked at him smiling, not catching the disappointment in his boyfriend's tone of voice because he was too excited.
“Of course I want to! I want to see a horror movie with my boyfriend and maybe eat popcorn.” He hugged Jesse's arm and walked to the bed. “You don't like the plan? We could see another movie if you prefer…”
Hanzo never saw his boyfriend watching a horror movie… maybe his boyfriend doesn't like that kind of movie. To be honest, he had never asked his lover what he thought about horror movies…
“I could look for one of those romantic movies that you like so much... Although I don't know much about the subject, do you have a favorite or would you prefer that I read you the description of the ones I find?”
“No, it's fine…” he smiled and hugged his boyfriend’s waist, “watch a horror movie it's fine to me.”
“You really?” Hanzo looked at his eyes. The Japanese man looked a little worried and unsure, wanting his boyfriend to feel comfortable with the movie.
“Oh, my Hanny bee…” Jesse kissed his cheek and approached him. “All I want is to spend time with you, I don't care what I do or what I see as long as I can be with you…”
Hanzo's cheeks blushed furiously as he listened to the American, trembling in his arms. His boyfriend always knew how to reach his heart with his beautiful and loving words.
“Sometimes I feel like you're still courting me…” he whispered with his cheeks completely red.
“Just sometimes? I'm going to have to put more effort and nerve…” he kissed his cheek again, and again, and again… Jesse's longish beard tickles and scratches his skin gently. “I have never stopped doing it. Just because you are mine doesn't mean you don't deserve to feel like the king you are to me…”
Hanzo let his face be kissed with a somewhat shy smile.
“My king…” He called him in a loving whisper.
“Weren't we going to see the movie?”
Hanzo heard laughter in his ear, with a fresh smell of mint leaves. Then, Jesse and Hanzo looked into each other's eyes for a few seconds before the American spoke:
“You’re right. Then, we could continue…” There was a mischievous touch in his tone.
“So, do you want to watch ‘The Boogeyman’? Or do you prefer to watch another movie?” He asked.
“Ha! I can see ‘The Boogeyman’. Don't worry”
No, he can't.
They were both lying on the bed watching the movie on the Asian man's phone, hugging each other and under the covers and with the lights off. They always loved to do that together, but the movie…
From the beginning, Jesse bounced constantly in bed, hugging his boyfriend and making Hanzo laugh softly, touched.
It was almost at the end, when the monster showed itself completely, that Jesse couldn't take it anymore and ended up hiding in his boyfriend's chest, like a scared child.
“Jesse!” Hanzo laughed. He stopped the movie and turned on the light in the room. His boyfriend was hidden under the sheets, with his face against Hanzo’s chest. “What are you doing?”
“Are you Hanzo? Or are you the Boogeyman?”
He laughed more. “Aw Jesse…”
“Do-don’t answer me! I don't want to know!”
Hanzo caressed his chocolate hair softly, trying to make him feel calm. “Are you afraid of horror movies?”
“No…” he was lying and still under the sheets.
“Why didn't you tell me? We could watch another movie!”
“You were so excited to watch ‘The Boogeyman’ with me… I didn't want to screw your plan…”
“Let's play another movie for you, okay?” Hanzo searched on his phone for a movie that Jesse might like... Maybe a cartoon or a romantic comedy.
Jesse stuck his head out from under the covers and looked at him with puppy eyes. “Aren't you angry?”
“Of course not! It's just a movie…” Hanzo couldn't help but kiss him on the forehead when he saw him act that way. “I can watch ‘The Boogeyman’ alone another day. Now I want to be with you.”
“You are so good to me…”
“Shhh…” He gave him a kiss again. “What movie would you like to see?”
