Work Text:
Once upon a time in the quirky town of Melodyville, there lived an awful guy named Maddock. He was infamous for his rude behavior, selfishness, and an uncanny ability to irritate everyone around him. Despite his unpleasant demeanor, fate had an unusual way of dealing with Maddock's misdeeds.
One sunny morning, Maddock woke up feeling an unusual rumbling in his stomach. Dismissing it as mere indigestion, he went about his day, leaving a trail of irritation in his wake. As the day progressed, the discomfort in his stomach intensified, and before he knew it, Maddock found himself in the grip of a near-fatal bout of diarrhea.
Bedridden and humbled by his sudden vulnerability, Maddock had no choice but to reflect on his actions. The once defiant man now faced the consequences of his unpleasant behavior, and the townsfolk, despite their dislike for him, couldn't help but feel a twinge of sympathy.
As Maddock slowly recovered from his embarrassing ordeal, the townspeople watched with a mix of amusement and curiosity. It seemed that the near-death experience had brought about a change in Maddock's demeanor. He started to express gratitude, apologize for past wrongs, and even attempted to make amends with those he had wronged.
The townsfolk, skeptical yet hopeful, cautiously accepted this new version of Maddock. Perhaps, they thought, the brush with mortality had softened his heart and turned him into a better person.
However, fate had one more twist in store for Maddock.
One day, as Maddock was strolling through the town square, enjoying the fresh air and newfound goodwill, a series of comical events unfolded. Unbeknownst to him, a group of amateur movers struggled to transport a grand piano across a precarious wooden platform nearby. The piano teetered on the edge, threatening to plunge onto the unsuspecting Maddock below.
The townsfolk, witnessing the impending disaster, gasped in horror and attempted to warn Maddock. Oblivious to the impending danger, Maddock continued his stroll, blissfully unaware of the perilous piano above.
In a slapstick twist of fate, just as Maddock reached a patch of sunlight and reveled in his recovery, the piano tipped over, crashing down with a cacophony of keys and wooden splinters.
He dies instant thank god
