Work Text:

*Rain pouring~*

Well, this is bothersome. The forecast said it was going to be clear for the whole day. Good thing you brought your umbrella, but you also wish you brought your car with you too. Your house is not that far anyway, so a little more exercise won't kill you. You walk through the rain as quickly as you can to get home faster, but also slow enough to not slip and fall. making your way through, something caught your eyes. It's a girl all alone in a dark alleyway. She looks fairly young too. You wonder where her parents could be.

"...." ~ ???

Taking a closer look, she appears to be sad as well. Maybe she had a fight with her parents? Either way, you thought it was best to at least check on her. You walk up to the lonely girl and ask her what's wrong.

"...."

She looks at you with suspicion in her eyes. Can't really blame her for being hostile towards a stranger she doesn't know. Alas, you held your hand up and reassured her at you weren't going to do anything bad. She still seems to be on guard, but she relaxes enough to speak to you.

"...What do you want? I prefer to be left alone right now."

You told her it was raining and that she could catch a cold. All she did was shrug and turn her attention to a wall. it seems she's not interested in hearing you out, but you decided to try one more time. If this fails, as much as you hate to do so, you'll have to leave her be. You ask if the girl needs somewhere to dry off until she thinks she can go back home. She said nothing. Guess it really is for the best to leave her alone. It's unfortunate. However, just as you were about to leave, you hear the girl say...

"Sure. I don't really care..."

Not the best answer to hear, but you took it anyway. The both of you walk to your apartment together to dry up from the rain. At the apartment, you took her clothes for drying and tell her to go take a quick shower. The girl obeys. Now that it's starting to dawn on you, isn't it kind of suspicious to do something like this? Sure, you don't have any ulterior motives, but you probably should get in contact with her parents before they get worried. A few moments later, the girl is now out of the shower nice and clean.

"Thank you for the shower. it was nice."

You gave her a nod and ask her if she was also hungry. She moved her head no. You then ask her if she needs the phone to contact her parents. She moves her head no again. Hmm, what now then? Perhaps you can let her spend the night if she needs to, but is that really okay? Well, before you can ask that question, you should ask the girl the most important question: why was she alone in an alley so sad? You asked the question, and at first, she was hesitant to do so. But, after thinking on it, she slowly answers.

"I... My dream is dead. And it's all my fault."

You ask what she means by that. Based on her story, she was an idol at the young age of 15 and was going strong for 2 years until a few months ago, where was the subject of a scandal. This girl, Hitomi Chris, was in a relationship with another idol, and it was somehow found out. She thought breaking up with him would fix things, but it was too little too late. After many failed attempts to escape the scandal, her agency got rid of her in favor for a rookie idol name Tokino Sora. The moment you heard the word idol coming out of her lips, you had a good idea on where the story was heading. Although you don't catch up on idol news as much, you are aware on how harsh the industry can be.

"IT WASN'T FAIR! I sacrificed so much to get where I was! My education, my home, even the love of my life. Why is okay for other people to be happy but me? Why must I sacrifice my happiness just to satisfy a bunch of people who only care about the me on screen? It's... it's not..."

Chris then dropped to her knees and let out all the frustration she was holding in for who knows how long. Poor girl. For her to experience something so stressful at such a young age... You thought about comforting her, but you thought it was best to simply wait until she was done.

......

"*Sniffs* Sorry, sir. You've been so helpful, and all I've been doing is venting about my problems in return."

You told Chris it was okay. All you wanted to do was help a sad soul in need. When you told her that, she chuckled a little and said it sounded cheesy. And it was cheesy, you doofus. Lay off the light novels for a week as punishment! Outside, the rain has stopped, and night was about to fall. You ask Chris if she would like a ride home.

"Oh, no I shouldn't trouble you with that. Actually, if it's okay with you, can I stay here for the night? I don't want to go home yet."

You told the girl she can, but only if she tells her parents where she is. Or at least lie about her staying at her friend's house. Wait, that's not something a responsible adult such as yourself should teach the new generation! Well, whether or not she did, Chris called her parents, and they seemed okay with it. After taking your bath, you set up a futon for yourself and let Chris sleep on your bed. But then...

"No..."

Huh?

"I don't want to be alone right now. Get in bed with me."

Well... this is a surprise. Chris wants to sleep together with you. That... well, that's fine, but...

"It's okay. I know you're a man, but I trust you a little. Besides, I know a little karate. Try anything and its chop chop!"

Chris then starts doing odd karate poses on your bed, much to your confusion. Shaking your head in acceptance, you got into your bed with Chris snuggling in the bed sheets. Your bed's a little small for two people, but thanks to Chris' slender figure, it was surprisingly comfortable. Fatigue from your day was starting to creep in and sleep was starting to take over. Before you fully embrace it, you hear a sweet voice in the now quiet room.

"Thank you..."

*Birds chirping*

Opening your eyes to the sounds of singing birds, you realize that it was morning. Looking around the room, it seems the girl from yesterday is gone. Was that a dream? You smell a sweet scent of perfume from your sheets and concluded that it wasn't a dream. As you get up from your bed to prepare for a new day, you look back at the girl you met yesterday. Hitomi Chris, was it? Do you think you'll ever see her again? And most of all, will she be able to move forward and begin anew?

Notes:

Bet you guys didn't think Hitomi Chris was next, huh? Truth be told, it was originally going to be Aqua, but decided on Chris at the last minute. I apologize if you were expecting more explicit content. I didn't want all the stories to be sexual stuff. I want to mix things up every once and a while. Don't worry. The next will be much more exciting. Til then, I hope you enjoy this story.
