It’s Sirius who bumps into Severus in the garden this time. Severus got some cigs somehow, and he’s seated cross-legged on the grass. He freezes when he hears Sirius approach, looking up guiltily, but Sirius just snorts half-heartedly.
“I won’t say anything,” he says. “It’d be a bit rich, considering that’s what I came out here to do.”
“Pay you back?” Severus offers, holding out his pack, and Sirius snags one before he can think better of it, settling on the grass across from Severus. He catches the lighter Severus tosses him and lights up, the first drag soothing the nerves frayed from the Howler and the first Mind Healing session.
